"It might be frustrating, but the enemy saw you for as long as you peeked on your own screen" - well said, that's how it is! 👍

This video is not mine. The original link in the description. Its one of the best visual explanation Ive seen & had to upload it here so more people know about. Im explaining & trying to educate the people about how online gaming & hit-registration works for 8-9years years now (BF3). One of the reasons I created my blog. The original link is in my blog as well.

This is so relevant in light of CS2. The biggest complaint I've seen is that you get shot behind walls. I've yet to see a single clip of this issue that isn't easily explainable by this.

what would happen if everyone would be forced to play at the ping of person who has the highest ping?

Im not sure i understand the question. Depends on many variables. I just answered something similar above. You can have either bad experience vs High Ping Player & he get better hit-reg or you get better hit-reg & he have difficulties to hit you. Two players with the same ping does not necessariy have the same delay & Hit-reg. The distance to the server matters a lot.
In general High Ping players benefit from always moving & changing their position (never stops in 1 place) because his high ping transfers his location to the server with higher delay than lower ping player. Also Low Ping players benefits from shooting first because his lower ping transfers (to the server) his shots faster than enemy. But thats just 1 aspect of this complicated variable situation we call Online FPS Gaming. Depends on the server offset & Gaming interpolation (they try to synch both players). This is just internet & the server (which performance can change during the game seassion). You also have PC latency which can be as high as your ping or more (On average 40-80ms. With overclocking & Optimization 10-20ms on Mid to High-End PC).

that's not gonna work because if it's (example) an Asian server and a guy from a Russian region joins everyone will have 250+ ping which is inconvenient

@@ily_neko i just gave examples. Idk what u mean exactly. I see i wrote a lot, not gonna read it all. I think i mentioned that 2 players can have the same ping but to be from different regions

@@n1kobg I'm saying if 2 players have 250 ping difference, and you force them to play on highest ping, everyone's gonna have 250 which is not very convenient. lag compensation saves this by acting like every player plays on the same ping but really they're not

Does that also affect the same in roblox FPS games?

I dont understand. My latency in Call Of Duty is 70-90ms but i feel the delay then i check the score board the other player has much more higher ms than me. made a highest score without a problem. i recently upgrade the internet speed. How am i gonna solve this frustrating lag?

Hit-Reg & Internet Speed are differend things. The Game Interpolation & the Server try to adjust your ping delay and match it with other players but thats never perfect because its happening in Real Time. The technology isnt that fast yet. It takes ms but thats still not enough. Two players with the same ping does not necessariy have the same delay & Hit-reg. There are many variables in Your PC, The Server & the physical links between them. You can have high ping & still get good hit-reg. Also some people feel the delay more than others. Higher ping players who do optimization tweaks & Overclocking feel the difference a lot more than low ping players because that lower PC latency & sometimes thats 1/3 or half of the overall delay. The Internet & the distance to the server has the highest delay but like I said thats not always bad for you because the game interpolation is not always accurate enough. In my experience you can have good Hit-Reg with up to 20-30 ping & above 60-70 ping.
