Definitely the best explanation of a het pied I've seen. Many times the general description without actually showing on the snake itself has completely baffled me, but once again the sign of a great teacher is attention to detail. Fascinating and Thank you for the class.
Love you you didn’t even flinch when it tried to bite you
Thanks for this video. I am in the learning game right now. It is very overwhelming.
More Morphs 101 PLEASE!!!
that fire od dg het pied in shed is a stunner!

I friggin LOVE this snake man!
What a SMOKESHOW!
THAT'S a $100 000 snake right there if I've ever seen one...
My Sable Leopard Has amazing Black belly scales like someone took a sharpie down the belly, he is a 50% poss het pied, and the belly pattern towards he tail gets more checkered and and the end at the tail Those train tracks shine tru with the only white segment of his belly !! pied wasnt in my plan for my Sable projects, but now I guess it is lol
Great video! Thanks Justin. Have a great day.
Thanks Justin I am a young reptile keeper myself and videos like this are cool and helpful 👍💯
Awesome video ! We are super happy that the clown het lav 66% het pied with markers from you prooved out het pied this year :)
Really enjoy your videos I’m looking at getting my first BP soon.

Best wishes and greetings from Germany.
Thanks Justin this video was very helpful!
Another great video! 💪🏻💪🏻
New to the scene. Must say I’m a big fan of you and Miguel (AEP). Love the videos. Y’all really got me interested in getting a python someday. Videos like this really help. I want to learn about them as much as possible before I commit to owning one. I know nothing about them, and don’t want to get one to just say I have one.Thank you. You guys are awesome
Justin when we love it, we don't see a learning curve, and once you reach the point of being able to id just about anything, really takes away some of the awe and wonder,. I Kinda miss looking at a bunch of new stuff everyday , going oooooh awwwwwww whats dat! Whoa! what's that one and that one. Now its only a couple-few times a year I see something and am just blown away cuz its so differnt or exciting. dang I just love this hobby
Cool video, very very helpful!!
Love watching these videos on het markers. Can you do one on het clown markers ?
Great and informative video as usual Justin and beautiful snakes I have a normal that has that track look on his tale 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💪🏽
thank you for the info!!!
Loved some of those!
Really fascinating. You have some beautiful looking snakes.
I needed this video brother
thanks for these education videos, keep'm coming.
That second bh female you showed is absolutely gorgeous, wow!!
Agreed
In my bumblebee het pied girl she has yellow that is along the belly that creates a boarder around the white from the spider gene, i think there is a similar result with spider by itself with het pied. (With spider het pied you dont get the train tracks but you get some additional coloring along the sides of the belly/webbing of the spider, just based off my experience and what ive seen others have).
As always. Wonderful video. Can we also have a video on het clowns as well?
Thanks for the video, will these markers show through on Albino and Lavendar
Great video! Stay Safe!
Thank you for all the great info, you seem to be the most successful and knowledgeable on ball pythons. Next thing i need to learn is how do we sell them?? my husband and i are looking into breeding as part of our retirement income. but were unsure how , or where to sell the babies we can make. any help would be awesome.
Thanks
Have you done a video regarding your medical treatment of your snakes yet? Would like to see that?
Yeah there's the train tracks and ringers but I honestly believe that a ringer is just a very super low white pied I haven't tested this because I have none with the ringer but when I do I'm going to breed that ringer to a Visual and see if I get all visuals if I do that can prove my point wait my cinnamon copper has a ringer
Justin been learning so much thanks. One question I have is how is it 66 percent het or 50 percent
@@KINOVAReptiles thanks thats how the 66 percent comes in. I do understand now.
I go to pet smarts and ask to hold their ball pythons often so I can check for het pied markers. I hate petmsart but that’s an easy way to get a het pied for $45 I just got one that has pretty definite black lines near it’s tail
Great information and will help a lot of people. Just one little thing I’ve noticed.. ringers aren’t always white coming up the side but sometimes can be just more intense bright colors that do the same thing as a ringer you explained but with no white or the slimmest piece of white that’s is trying to come up.. is this called something different then a ringer or is the intensified coloring being pinched up towards the end called something else? Just curious and not saying you said anything wrong bc you have wayyyy more experience and knowledge then me around ball pythons but was just curious bc I’ve seen this quite often and some people even call them ringers but they don’t have white just the intensified pinched colors like a ringer would be like .. thank you for your content and I hope you have a great day
@@KINOVAReptiles I appreciate that and it’s funny I put that comment but I just got a what looks to be a hi od Mojave enchi pos leopard het hypo het pied with that exact type of ringer I mentioned.., was blown away with that animal and the rest
Whats your thoughts on het monsoon having slight affects on patterns?
Brian Barchuck sent me. You have such cool 🐍
Can some of the pictures you showed with ringers be also called "low white"?
Since the tracking on the sides and the more extreme ringer could the pied gene actually be considered inc-dom instead of recessive
There's more het markers that tend to be more consistent than just the tracks. For example, look at cinnamon vs cinnamon het pied. Their pattern changes a lot. There is some debate whether pied is actually inc-dom or not. There's threads on morphmarket about it
What about an Albino Het Pied will they have any markers
Do you ever work with or thinking with axanthic? What which axanthic one would do? Why that over the other?
I will be checking it out
Does albino have het markers? I have one and it seems like it does but she is also het pied so that might be effecting it. She looks much more yellow near the het pied tracks and she had donut 🍩 on her dorsal. It seems like this is more common in het albino or het Ultramel.
Is there any markers for het clown?
Justin how do you id het gstripe? Or het lavender?
what if no markers but the parents is like visual pied x norm or clown x pied... can i declared it as a het pied?
if the parent is a visual recessive then all the babies are guaranteed to be het.
@@KINOVAReptiles even without markers right?
I have a female that was sold to us as a normal but she has the tracks and i have wondered if she was het pied is this a almost guaranteed that she is het pied
@@KINOVAReptiles ok thank you
How about in yellowbelly?
Sorry what i meant was how to identify a pied markings in yellowbelly cause i have a spider YB pos het pied and im not really sure if he can produce a pied. Thank you
so basically every snake that labeled "poss het pied" but have a ringer on it, will prove to be het pied?
My friend bred his het albino to a pied then to an albino one baby in the clutch was albino but the rest are hets but we don’t know if they are het pied and poss het albino or het albinos!
They're all het albino poss het pied
🐍🖊🐍🖍🐍👌🏿
If it isn't visible but has a marker - doesn't it make it ... visible :)
How can I contact you in person? I'd like to make a nice big investment ASAP for some ball pythons
Ok kool but I also like everything about you and everything that you do and I'd like to meet you in person soon
I can use some advice from you for sure and off course a few nice tips
Remember kids, in the end this is a tool for breeders.
It's not 100%!
In survival you move downhill when you are trying to find water,
but that doesn't
mean there is always water at the bottom of that hill.
In conclusion: You can't tell lol.
I'm late to the party and confused. I acquired a nice male some would call a normal. But honestly doesn't look like other normals I've seen. He's brown on black, however has 90% clear black dorsal. Then belly clear white with pied tracks based on this video. In my opinion he resembles a GBB or HRA based on colorations and clear dorsal. Wish I could show a picture. I do have a normal male to compare it to. The 2 of them have differences. IE the belly of normal is checkered all the way down and dorsal, well looks normal.
Het fart smeller for sure
