Gold and Silver STILL Massively Undervalued! Can These Inflation Hedges EVER Back Our Dollar AGAIN?

  • Are Gold and Silver really inflation hedges? Lynette Zang says YES! And in this video, we discuss how the price of gold and silver are STILL massively undervalued. Should gold really be priced at $40,000 an ounce? Listen to Lynette as she explains how the global debt and the total amount of gold can explain the REAL value of precious metals. Can they ever back our currency again? And what would my local coin shop dealer, Tim Marschner, think of Lynette's analysis? Should we have both of them on my channel together? Lynette is an economist, a former investment banker, a chief market analyst, hard-core gold and silver stacker, passionate prepper and featured on Kitco News, Stansberry Research, and other UA-cam channels. The dollar collapse will bring in the financial "reset" the powers-that-be are already planning! Whether it's silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, or gold coins, Lynette and I urge people to protect their wealth by stacking physical gold and silver!

Bought our small starter home house in 1996 for $88,000. In 2021 we sold it for $476,000. We bought our beautiful rural village home on a much larger property for a little over $500,000. We're still stunned at how blessed we are. We have a large vegetable garden and grow at least 15% of what we eat. One day our daughter, with whom we bought the house, will have a home that she will own outright. Her present basement apartment is a future potential form of income for her. Right now my husband and I are her "renters" although we are joint owners on the property. It was the only way that she could become a landowner.

As with beauty, there is much in the eye of the beholder to describe gold and silver. For me, it's many things: wealth insurance, inflation hedge, a fun hobby, and yes an investment too.
Most of my gold was purchased between $1184 and $1400, so by that metric it's quite a good investment. Anyone not wanting to look at it that way doesn't have to. But I do because
of the investing opportunity cost of owning any asset. If the money I've put into gold and silver was invested, even in the S&P 500, the returns for the past 14 years would have been
quite nice. But I am not unhappy with gold or silver because they are doing more than being just another investment. If... when?... the SHTF, having a big wad of paper in hand vs.
having a good sized stack of PMs will show the true value of both approaches to building wealth. For me, this is not a binary choice. I am happy to have a well diversified portfolio
of stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, cash and cash equivalents, AND PMs. I've never heard any investor lament that they were too well diversified. Ever. Sure, you can make or lose a
lot of money investing in other things but I really like not losing sleep over the problems in the world and their effects on my financial future. Hmmm... something about eggs and
      baskets?

A closely related issue is WHAT to stack as well as when. I started with silver and completed my silver stacking goal in 2019. For part of that time, I also stacked some gold
and I am still buying quarterly. Like a lot of stackers, I like to buy the dips, so am willing to wait a bit for a nice pullback. The last one was so short that I missed it but, oh well.
I don't need to buy *every* dip to create a nice sized stack.

I try to explain it to people like this.... When you are putting in a new kitchen, what is the absolute one thing you have to do before installing the new one? You can see people start thinking and then come up with the answer, yes you have to tear down the old kitchen to make room for the new one. And that is exactly what is going on with our monetary system. You can not have two systems running at the same time, so one have to go in order to make room for the next one. When you say it like this to people you can almost see the Matrix in their eyes, Awww fuck, we are doomed......

    • @edb3877
      @edb3877 2 місяці тому +2

Yes, Bill Holter has a way with words alright but I have to say that as a retiree since 2004, I've made over $600k in the US stock market, so continue with that while also
continuing to stack gold. I like being diversified and as an old guy I also like a much smoother ride while investing. One of THE worst methods of investing is to go "all in".
Historically, this has not done well for most people. Being diversified does work for a lot of people and PMs make a great balance in one's financial life to stocks, bonds,
real estate, and commodities other than PMs. Going all in means that you have to pick the right investments at the right time OR risk losing a lot in the markets. As one
ages, they don't have as much time to recover from large losses, so need to be diversified to avoid being blindsided by adverse and unpredictable events. If we really do
get the worst things possible, such as a US$ collapse, UST paper collapse, global war, or some super-bug pandemic, the PMs will cover the paper losses. If not, then
the paper investments continue to churn out distributions and dividends. For the most part, this will be a financial win regardless of most events happening. Note that
this does not include devastation from which none of us can survive.

calamity taking it out of their hands. Right now, it is looking like the latter, so a managed crash seems unlikely to happen, which makes an unmanaged one almost certain.

Gold I understand, Silver bothers me a little bit. Since Silver is used as an industrial metal and more than half of mined silver goes to industrial use, what happens in a global meltdown, Industry will be severely curtailed because people wont have the money to buy things. Wont silver then be plentiful and lose value. Maybe it will be used as money again and the market will not be industrial I just don't know.

Australia housing has become a nightmare, for a nation of just 27million people house prices of the top 3 cities of 7 are in the top 10 most expensive in the world. It is not that the value of the house are more it is that the AUD is losing it value and now takes 20 years to save for a deposit for a house. In Japan in the 1990 house were $5m but lucky to be one tenth of that now. The problem is people here are getting suck in with $700,000 to $1m mortgages. We are just waiting for the music to stop.

*Trigger warning* I'd be careful listening to Lynette. She has made lots of predictions/claims that haven't come true. I feel like it's fear mongering. If you're a full market cycle early, you're just wrong. It's not a problem to be wrong. We all are at times. But being too early is just as costly as not taking advantage of opportunity. It means you lose the cost of opportunity elsewhere. There's always an opportunity if you look in the right place. I have been a net seller since the squeeze with silver. But I can still buy it back cheaper than where I sold, and I made a lot reinvesting the profit. Its the lcost of opportunity that crushes people financially. That's why (generally) you should invest most savings. The cost of opportunity destroys people financially. I do appreciate how you specified that gold and silver are just to maintain wealth. You definitely are not the fear mongering type. I have a lot of respect for you, Yankee!

People need to also understand is that if all the world switched to a gold standard and this covered the present time debt, whether it's 35 grand an ounce or 50 grand an ounce, It will still only buy what money can buy now.
On the other hand, cash won't buy a loaf of bread. This is where people will starve out

    • @edb3877

The harsh reality of it is that in a severe economic / financial disaster, not everyone will survive. When one looks at the amounts of gold and silver in this world, the amount per
person is very low. Most stackers have WAY more than this. Some would try to tell us that we have "more than our fair share". I would tell them that harsh reality has very little
to do with "fairness" and a great deal to do with "foresight".

If and when poo hits the fan (WW 3), and gold and silver increase x2, x5 or x10, food and energy will also increase x2, x5 or x10. Right now bread costs $5 a loaf where I shop. One silver ounce coin could be bartered for 5 loaves of bread. When the same silver coins is valued at $250, I will still be able to barter it for only 5 loaves of bread.
