Good morning, my dear students! Happy Monday! I suggest you hide in your house, close all the windows and make sure you have enough food and water to survive at least a month, because, I'm telling you, a storm is coming. And it's coming in my teacup. What? Aren't you afraid of a storm in the teacup? No? Ok, I'm not going to make such a big deal out of it, then. I just wanted to teach you a new idiom. "A storm in a teacup" means a situation in which lots of fuss is being made about something that is not so bad. Do you think the current situation with isolation and social distancing is just a storm in a teacup? Like I said last week, you decide! But in the meantime, wash your hands, it doesn't hurt, and continue studying English, that doesn't hurt either. Have a wonderful week and a great day! See you next Monday! Bye-bye!
Lots of fuss is being made about something that is NOT so bad. Thx.
Big thanks
even more colorful is 'tempest in a teacup' - it even references the famous Shakespeare play!
It's a storm in a teacup brewing up double over tiny little trouble 🎼🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵
Hello! I am Betty! I think that this idiom is so funny!

It is storm in a tea cup to debate with illiterat.
Mam is it right?
I feel that a better idiom for such a futile activity could be "to bring sand to the beach", used for describing a useless activity.
Bundle of thanks Mam.
Hii, I need you to speak fluent English so could you help me speak like you.
Fluency comes from practice. The more you speak, the better will become at it. Unfortunately I don't take any new students at the moment, but you could try to find a teacher or a speaking partner in your country. Try "Tandem Languages" app. Good luck!
