I maidened my F16 a couple days ago and it's really fun. The only thing is it seems like it's really tail heavy but at low speed it handles really well, I put a penny under the rubber piece of the nose and it seemed to help. The batteries that came with it are a yellowish/gold color at the top while the other ones that came with the warbirds are grey and they ones that came with the F16 are 2grams lighter......
Awesome! I've found that a lot of these gyros on these micro planes will put a bit of positive elevator in so they do fly more slowly. You can usually add some down trim in the elevator to remove that high alpha attitude. A very fun micro parkjet ;-)
I've the P51 and have enjoyed it for many hours. I purchased the Volantex Phoenix S and that was a complete disaster. Perfect CG and one tip stall after another - even when moving the CG forward. I don't think the supplied Li-Ion had the punch to keep it up - others have done well - but mine ended up in the bin. I'll stick with these really light birds in the near future. Nice informative vid, as always - thanks!
Thank you much! One thing I like about these micro planes is they have very little mass, so when they crash it's usually just dusting them off and throwing them back in the air ;-) They're a lot of fun for little cost. I have several of these micro planes now and I'm sure I'll have more ;-) See you in the Air!
Awesome, Bangood have the ASW28 for AU $127 and the F-803 Skylark for $63 AU, the 803 can have anything You want in it! Right up Your Power curve, I totalled My first 28 at sea but My new one is getting the ORX stabilizer, massive Bargains Our Bangood need a Looney Like You to Review. Beauty GCRC, love to see You take the Hobby King Radjet to the Limits too,, Unreal stuff Friend. High Alpha, Ive the Horizon F-16 70mm hanging above My head, I can picture the Mystery safe select panic button sending it to Davey Jones.
I would love to see your settings for the TX16S on this plane. I have my flight modes on a 3 position switch with rates tied to the same switch. Beginner ailerons & elevator rates are weighted 60% with 30% expo. Intermediate ailerons & elevator rates are weighted 75% with 30% expo. Expert ailerons & elevator rates are weighted 100% with 30% expo. These are the same settings (With very minor plane to plane variations) that I use for my other 761 protocol P-51, T-28 & F-4U planes and they fly very well. But I realize that this is a bit of a different animal. I just got this in today, so all I've done is bind the bird up and make sure everything is working. I'm going to maiden the plane this Sunday. But if I'm off on these settings, a heads up would be highly appreciated. Yours seems to fly very nicely indeed. NOTE: I relocated the elevator rods to the outside horn positions. But I didn't do the surgical procedure to get to the servos. Just can't bring myself to cut on her unless absolutely necessary. Thanks - Scott
These Micro Planes are certainly a lot of fun ;-) You'll have a lot of fun with the F16 as well. I always post Setup & Model Files for my aircraft on our Facebook Page. When I first started releasing my OpenTX Model Files I did so in Groups of 3. The Eachine Mini F16 was in the 2nd Group of Model Files I released. Here is a Link to the Group #2 OpentTX Model Files: drive.google.com/file/d/1-catiS888nfr0C3rSHCNXsOCAM0xEvBu/view?usp=sharing I hope it helps for a successful Maiden Flight. Good luck on your Maiden this Sunday and let me know what you think of it. See you in the Air!
Thank you Leon! Yes, this is a fun little F16 and, as you stated, very speedy for it's size. Those direct drive brushed motor props can sometimes be problematic ;-) See you in the Air!
Great video! My question is... Which do you like better.... The Mini Raptor F22 or This? I love my Raptor but this one seems more stable... Seems like the Raptor has it beat for speed.... Your thoughts are welcome! PS...I am still using my Yellow T8SG Jumper Tx! Works great.
Hi Flying Tek RC! I like the F16 much better than the F22. I could never get the F22 completely flying as well as it should. The gyro in the F22 just didn't seem that good and it was always a handful in Manual Mode. This F16 is a decent flying Factory Micro Parkjet and is better behaved than the F22. See you in the Air!
@@GroundControlRC perfect and what I expected. I can concur that the F22 is hard to fly in manual. And even in beginner the gyro is off. The first thing I noticed was how stable the F16 is in comparison. Now how about in terms of speed? I’ve seen someone radar test the F22 and clock it at 40mph+. Do you think the F16 is as fast slower or faster? Thank you for the info! Always depend on your knowledge.
@@TheFlyinTek Thank you much! I seem to remember the F16 being faster than the F22. I could be wrong, but I remember being impressed with the speed of the F16 more than the F22.
@@GroundControlRC Just got mine on your recommendation. I will be doing the linkage mod for sure... Thank you for that suggestion. I see from your other vids it makes a huge difference. Happy Flyin!
Hi Jack! I won't even be able to buy another landing like that ;-) I'm glad I got it on camera because even I wouldn't believe me ;-) I was thinking about a better receiver, so what I might do is play musical chairs with the receiver in the Mini P51D since I want to convert it to Brushless. I'll have to wait and see but that might be an option.
Hi Ground Control! I have all the mini Eachine aircraft including the F-22 & F-16, love fling them. I just got my TX16s radio two weeks ago and program all the aircraft to fly on the Tx16s. All is good and all fly quite well on the TX16s. My question is this, can the acrobatic button be programmed on the TX16s? I fly chiefly in intermediate mode with all the Eachine warbirds and in that mode, I can manually do a loop with the gyro on. I have never been able to do a roll in intermediate mode with any of the warbirds unless I used the acrobatic button. Is there a way to program that button on the TX16s radio? Thanks
Hi John! I think there is a way, perhaps using one of the buttons on the TX16S. I have not tried to program the aerobatic button but the protocol info will list which channel the aerobatic button is on. It looks like the Aerobatic (Flip) Button is mapped to CH7. Here is the info: www.multi-module.org/using-the-module/protocol-details/v761 I hope that helps.
Hi GC that's the first time I have understood what high alpha means when you did the fly buys, and also how did you figure out what channel you used to program the stunt button on the tx16s, also was a great landing at the end, take care and best wishes from Alan UK 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍
Thank you much Alan! Yes, I think the High Alpha maneuvers are much fun ;-) I do not have the Stunt Button Programmed in the TX16S but I think it's published in the Multi-Protocol information as to which channel is set for which function. I seem to recall CH8 for the Stunt Button but I'm not sure.

That last landing was soooooo smooth. 😀 As long as you are taking it apart for servo arm rod adjustment why not put a better receiver in it?
