I really like Harry. He’s got great taste in music and respects the classics.
as you should
I mean who doesn't like him, or at least respect him? This man is perfection
Drayton Blackgrove--I didn't really like him. Until I saw him do this with a lot of respect
Never heard of him until watching this video
He can sing any style of music and does excellent
Harry is living his , mom, dads, sister dream probably
Nova Gille he's living his own dream as well as theirs, he's got taste and class in music.
He’s living my dream and I can’t even sing 💜
Nova Gille literally everyone’s dream ahaha 🙈🙌
Your mom probably kicked you out. To bad so sad who cares😄
Tight family hows yours oh thats right they kicked you to the curb😰
If Stevie Nicks thinks that Harry Styles is worthy to sing this song that’s good enough for me.
he did better than her
Louise joles I’m a huge harrie but please don’t compare them together. Give credit where credit is due which is Stevie nicks. They both did amazing but Stevie has this timeless, melodic voice.
Theyre banging
Thierry Henry Umm Miss Stevie is 72 years old. She’s old enough to be his Granny.
@@loriallen5608 yeah not my cup of tea either.
The thing about Harry is that he took a step back from the whole modern boy band thing and turned his persona into his own unique style. He incorporates a modern feel with a sort of old school romanticism. He has a wonderful voice and a unique perspective. I really like him and he seems to be on top of the world playing with Stevie Nicks. Who wouldn't be?
Loved your conclusions 👍👍👏👏👏👏
@@user-ke3dy2pe7s he never called himself better than the Beatles and weather you likely him or not there is no way someone can deny that he is different in comparison to other pop/modern artists
Facts.
He has decided to be a musician not a pop star and he gets my respect for that simple move!

Absolutely I never paid much attention to him til I saw a live performance on TV one night.. definitely changed my mind I’m a Harry fan now 😜
TOTALLY!!
I concede he's the newly minted prince of pop. But if he wants real rock star status, he's got to have waay more than four bangers. And ffs it's essential he learn to actually play guitar and not merely pose with it.
Agree
I’m not afraid to say this, but I’m so glad he went solo.
Me too!

She said that her friendship with Harry has inspired her to write new music...!!!
Awww that's sweet and so cool
Despite people saying Harry wasn't worthy to sing with her, he did an amazing job. He wasn't trying to be the amazing Tom Petty. He loves Stevie and looks up to her so much. His cover of The Chain was on his 2018 tour's setlist every night. He exposes so many younger fans to old, great music like Stevie, Fleetwood Mac, and so much more and inspires them to explore 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's rock they probably wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise, as he did when putting these types of songs on his Beats 1 playlist this week. Fans are listening to what he listens to and discovering legendary music because of him.
I AM SORRY WHO SAID HE WASN'T WORTHY OF SINGING WITH HER?! prob uncultured swines that have never listened to any of his new album and only think of him as "that guy from one direction". I am so tired of ppl underrestimating him or his voice bc he was in a boyband.
Thank u for this comment. I couldn't agree with u more. I'm one of the fans and bc of him i discover her and fell in love with steve and fleetwood. I think he didi remarkable job by exposing this legendery music to us. I'll forever be thankful❤️👏
If Stevie thinks he´s worthy, he just is. You just don´t argue that.

Don’t matter what other said about Harry. Stevie think and say he’s good enough to sing with her. That’s all it matter. XD
@um me Clearly you are jealous of him since he's good looking AND talented. It's ok, we understand.
Harry did good to just bring his own voice into the duet instead of trying to perform it like Petty did.
Ahaha yeah and it’s a good thing bc he was playing in the wrong key🤣
He is very awes I love both these musicians
Mike Campbell is in Fleetwood Mac and he is not on stage and Harry does not sound anything like Tom Petty but Mike Campbell does id like to hear Stevie and Mike sing this song that seems more like the natural thing to do the band behind Stevie just did not do justice to the song in my opinion its not their faults but i will say i might just be me being cynical

He still seems new at things.
No one can replace tom petty. Harry styles did the best he could. Stevie nicks still a grand singers
Paula Angeli she’s 72, and she does not look it! She looks great!
Harry Styles is an “old soul” and is like the finest of “fine” wines. With every “sip” of his path and growth he gets better and better. In an industry increasingly tainted with the most banal of lyrics, the most redundant of compositions, productions and voices, he is a breath of fresh air, forging new territory while not skimping on technique, creativity or musicianship. It is not by chance that the UK continues to be the front runner of producing such artistic gems. They understand the meaning and depth of “solid foundation” when it comes to honing artistic talent. There are no “skipping of steps” or “rushing of process” to be had of the truly successful. And thank you Stevie Nicks for still gracing us with your presence and your unique gifts. 🙏🏼

I wasn't disappointed. His voice blended beautifully with Stevie's. I get the impression from him that he's an old soul.
Stevie...timeless.
Exactly!
I am one of Tom Petty’s biggest fans. Like posters hanging in my bedroom fan. And while it is so hard to hear anyone else sing this with Stevie, I respect Harry for the talented vocalist and musician that he is in his own right. He sounds good with Stevie and if someone had to stand in for Tom, I’m glad it was him. I think he admires Tom and Stevie and I love that.
Thank you for your comment.
Yes, he admires Stevie, and by now the admiration is mutual. She even called him her and Mick Fleetwood's love child.
Harry grew up on Fleetwood Mac's music, Stevie was/is his idol. They performed together at least 3-4 more times beside this event (Landslide, Leather and Lace) Once he joined the whole band, singing The Chain together with Lindsey Buckingham.
Love both your comments ❤️
The more I see and hear of Harry I think he should have grown up in the 70's .. he is an old 70s rocker
Stevie is a class act! They did great together. Of course Harry isn't Tom Petty, he wasn't trying to be. ❤️
Well said!
Love me some Harry

I don’t get why people are being so petty here... show some love doods. It’s amazing to see two talented people coming together and creating a huge moment in music history.
A nod to Tom Petty?
Pun intended?
Can we all just take a second to appreciate that Stevie Nicks is a legend, and Harry Styles is a legend in the making.
Imagine being in the car with your parents when you are a kid listening to a song by Stevie Nicks and it being the first song you know by heart and after 20-something years sharing the rock n roll hall of fame stage together to sing such an amazing song...
What an unbelievable honor to be able to sing with Stevie Nicks. He did a great job, but he always does. She is still as beautiful as ever. Loved this so much. Thank you for letting us be apart of it!

Wow...I had NO idea he was so talented...what a great tone he has! They sound perfect together 😍
I might think of him more favorably if it wasn't for the numerous One Direction concerts my daughters dragged me to, surrounded by 20K screaming teenage girls ... and they wonder why I have to turn the volume up to hear things these days.
John Mininger his solo music is completely different trust me I think you’ll like it :)

My daughter’s favorite singer performing with mine. Pretty cool.
Bloody awesome isn’t it!
But mum and I love both I grew up with both 😂❤
Harry has a older soul in a young body. I adore this man!❤️
His face lights up every time he sings with her it’s so adorable
Did you know that Harry is the main reason Stevie is writing new songs? Gotta love them both!!!
I'm glad this kid was able to break away from the boy band dynamic and shine in his own right. He's a talented performer.
Here’s the deal...nobody is ever going to be able to replace Petty- sadly, we lost one of our few original musicians, way too soon. He was a distinctive musician; multi-talented.
But with that being said, and this kid simply filling in- (as it’s a sad fact that Tom can no longer)...
he did a righteous job of the song with Stevie Nicks.
Maybe this will even cause some Harry fans to learn who Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac are!
Then a new experience will open up to them to be able to hear some amazing music that otherwise they wouldn’t have ever had the opportunity to know of.
There’s no reason for us not to see this as a positive collaboration ❤️✌️
Similarly, I hope a lot of Stevie Nicks fans discover Harry Styles. She recently compared his newest album to Rumours and they’re great friends in real life and play together frequently now. There’s a reason so many legends love him- he’s legitimately great. I was never a fan of One Direction and have always gravitated more toward classic rock than most contemporary music, but have loved all of Harry’s solo work.
Good business move to have Harry sing it.
One of our few original musicians? What are you even talking about!? Do you think Tom Petty was around at the beginning of time or something, seriously you might fool a load of idiots online into believing you have a slight clue on the subject but to anyone who actually knows the crack you sound really really foolish! I really wanted you to know this! Please take my word for it! I'm probably a lot older than you, you need to see how stupid you are before it's too late to educate yourself!
Harry actually performed ‘the chain’ on his last tour and mentions all of the musicians he looks up to and admire which has helped me broaden my music taste so much! I’m a massive fan of his and your statement is completely true :)) !
Harry performing Landslide and Leather & Lace with Stevie at the Troubadour in 2017 right when his solo career was starting and then singing The Chain as part of his tour set list really got his fan base into Fleetwood Mac and Stevie. She is highly revered within the fandom. He had a show in LA in December last year (2019) and they lost their shit when she came on stage. This performance and him giving her induction speech just cemented it and added to their journey.
Both sooo good...Stevie fan non-stop since 70s. Harry for a decade. Great to see them together.
This is bittersweet for me, I've grown up listening to Fleetwood Mack and Stevie Nicks and I'm 50 now, but it's totally heartening that Harry Styles is so very intent on, well rocking it well.
Harry Styles and Stevie Nicks fit perfectly, they go together like a hand in glove, they just sound awesome 🎉🎉. This is what a perfect example of a duo sounds like 🎉🎉
I LOVE Stevie Nicks, Tom would've been proud because this kid did a DAMN good job!
there’s so many people in this comment section congratulating harry on “shedding his boyband image” or “trading in his boyband past blah blah” but i honestly think he’s never changed?? he’s always been harry. of course his style and confidence has developed but these comments are making me realize how wrong the worlds image of one direction is/was
yeah fr hes still the same guy and he always will be and people just perceive 1d to be what makes u beautiful and that’s it when it was actually sm more
Well in one direction he truly couldn’t be himself i think everyone’s just happy he can finally do the music he’s wanted to do and start being taken as a serious solo artist in the industry without all the boy band stigma
Zena Alzoubi i actually agree. he wasn’t able to 100% be himself in the band. my point is that i don’t think it’s as drastic of a change as people who didn’t follow one direction think. they just didn’t give harry (or the other members) a chance when the band was active. harry is truly thriving and seems to be in his element now, but it’s not a night and day difference from who he was in one direction
Zena Alzoubi i guess my point is that the “boyband stigma” should have never existed
Nopeee listen to his new album it's pretty different and great :))
I love Harry too. Very respectful! What is important here is that Stevie likes him enough to perform with him. All Steve's call. She knows no one can replace the sound of Tom Petty. But Harry is worthy of the attempt. Harry and Miss Stevie--I LOVED IT!

I’ve come to see the light with Harry. He’s pretty amazing in most everything he does.
He is a legend in the making, or maybe already made. I will enjoying sitting back over the next few decades growing old watching Harry perform. This man will stand the test of time. His style, class and old soul coupled with his talent are second to none in recent years of new talent
I don’t think people quite understand how HUGE it is for Harry who’s been a fan of the fleetwood mac his whole life & now having an opportunity to not only sing with Stevie but also being her friend!
Stevie recognises an extraordinary talent when she hears , sees and feels it. 💙

Harry Styles is the most genuine celebrity of his generation and his talent will stand the test of time! He’s just getting started with his dual careers and he’s going to become a living legend ... He’s already an iconic performer and he deserves the acclaim he receives! People need to quit underestimating him, just because he was in a boy band! Great duet. Sounds like Harry is singing in a key lower than usual & he sounds great. Stevie is a musical favorite of mine way back from the 70's. 🔥

Still in love with Stevie Nicks after 40 years . Spellbinding timeless beauty and grace but most of all her voice is as powerful and haunting as ever . Such respect to her from a young man in 20' s who though being such a gifted vocalist himself allowed her to be the star of this remarkable performance.
Hate to admit it but love Harry. He does so many classics and does then so well. He is super talented. Agree with other reviewer that he brings his own spin.
don’t hate to admit it! he’s a super genuine dude with a lot of talent that goes so much further than the boyband persona, and a lot of the songs that he wrote for that boyband are also very good. i love that he brings influences into his music from other eras and mixes it with newer sounds. it takes a lot of talent.

This signifies grace, style and friendship like I have never seen in history ... born in the 1960’s, but still looking as young and beautiful as Stevie and Harry as ever before, I continue to write music ( although I remain undiscovered) I continue to Channel the Divine like a whisper of lyrics from the Heavenly singing realm, blended with earthly mystical magic ... such is the mystery and divinity of music ... it comes from the unseen realms ... like all of essentially
Who was born in the 60's, you? I don't understand what you are trying to say, what is all of essentially?
Harry Styles is amazing, I love his music, his band, his personality, his covers and everything he does .... I love Harry Styles thank you very much 😊🙏🤗
This warms my soul to see modern artists still respecting the classics.
Wow HOLY Wow, they are incredible. Harry is so adaptable and supportive to other song writers. Starting your career in a 5 person band seems like it really served him in so many ways. Love both these beautiful beings so much. So unbelievably talented and generous.
That was awesome!!!... Stevie never sounds different, never messes up, never loses her voice, she's just the best!🥇🏆🎤.. & Harry sounded great with her !
he's just the cutest
i keep going back and watching this i’m obsessed
Came here for Stevie Nicks.❤️
Stayed because of Harry.💙
Creditable performance by Styles and nice of Stevie to mention Tom Petty.
She should after all Tom Petty and Mike Campbell wrote the song.
