That's a good idea! To make it even funnier, Get huge tires on the truck, along with that train horn, and go down the rails and pretend to be a train flashing your lights as well😂😂
Officer: Driver, have you been drinking? Driver: No, sir...I have not. These tracks are different from the ones I crossed down the street. Officer: They're the same tracks!
It probably wouldn't hurt to have plenty of light on these intersections. Might cut down on the frequency of these occurrences, especially for people that are unfamiliar with the area!
Maybe if they painted the edge of the pavement at the crossings with that white, reflective paint they use for stop-bars at intersections that might help.
Linda Terrell I’m sure they give out some sort of citations. Not all incidents are DUI related. Some people just aren’t the best drivers at night or are just careless.
a little bit of a fence { few posts and signs both sides of the line } should be put there so they don't drive on the tracks ,surely that will stop it from happening
Actually it’s at least the third incident of a car on the tracks in Ashland this year, had two back in April on the sixth and seventeenth of month. I was there when the first happened.
"IT" must be in the city water supply. They keep doing the same thing over n over! Good thing CSX has a speed restriction on this section of track otherwise.....
OMG! This is like the fifth one of these I have seen. I will make sure that I NEVER go through Ashland. Not because the train crossing is dangerous, the people are what scares me! 🤦♂️
This happens at night. Obviously there is a problem with the lighting such that people cannot see properly. It hasn't been fixed because they enjoy the notoriety and deriding people who cannot see. Shameful!
I can kinda understand a person at night making a left or right turn too early and ending up on the tracks but this person had already successfully made the turn and then drove onto the tracks at the next crossing. What an idiot!
How much do the Police Officers get paid for railroad duty? Oh I should've said Towing Service.😎 Wait it's night time I don't need shades😐 This is how we all look when something goes wrong for us. I need to visit Ashland Va. Just to wave at the live stream.
Video items such as; Red Square Box, white circle, arrows, etc, are not necessary. Ps. Tossers are now driving onto the tracks on purpose for their 15 minutes of fame.
Certain people needs to turn in their driver's license and never ever drive again
There's never a train coming through when you need one.
~ Amtrak
In VR's videos there is a train that strikes a car stuck on the tracks.
Can't believe we've got so far into 2019 before a car ended up on the tracks.
This layout is madness, its so easy to see a range of improvements from minor to major that could improve this.
This isn’t the first car on the tracks this year. There was one in April too
If I had a truck. I would install a Train Horn on it and sit about a block away and start blowing the the horn. Time to change your drawers. lol
Best... plan... EVER lol
Mike that would make a great video!
That's a good idea! To make it even funnier, Get huge tires on the truck, along with that train horn, and go down the rails and pretend to be a train flashing your lights as well😂😂
most people who end up on the tracks have been in the watering hole if ya know what I mean.
Officer: Driver, have you been drinking?
Driver: No, sir...I have not. These tracks are different from the ones I crossed down the street.
Officer: They're the same tracks!
Apparently, in Ashland they don't use a breathalyzer to see if you're intoxicated. They use railroad tracks!
There's just something about Ashland that really, really really makes people want to drive on the railroad tracks.
@@glenncartwright6136 that would certainly help as well. The more visible the better!
This level crossing is the bread and butter of that channel : P
That response time though! PD must have the stream up in the control room at this point!
Actually around 7 minute response time, as VRF cut out a couple minutes of the recording. Keep an eye on the timestamp at the top of the page.
@@jameslehnert5054 Wow that was subtle. Either way that's still not bad.
Ashland has a whole new breed of drivers.
Is there something in the water in Ashland?
Slow night in Ashland. The entire night shift showed up!
Probably wanted to see who the fool was this time - and ask how he/she managed not to do it at the usual place!
Turned out to be the major.
I wonder if more lighting would help? Seems dark to me.
I agree
NOCE RAJE I've got an even better idea!! Put strong lights on the front of cars - oh, wait a minute.................
The police didn't drill for that crossing.
Is the cop house right around the corner? Those guys sure got there fast. Then again, they do get lots of practice.
Is that a tank in the foreground at the end?
Good ol' Ashland drivers stuck on the tracks. Need I say more?
Do these drivers get ticketed? For something other than DUI?
Linda Terrell I’m sure they give out some sort of citations. Not all incidents are DUI related. Some people just aren’t the best drivers at night or are just careless.
Ashland has 3 cop cars?
Poor Honda Accord. Maybe I’ll be able to pick it up as a parts car one day.
a little bit of a fence { few posts and signs both sides of the line } should be put there so they don't drive on the tracks ,surely that will stop it from happening
It won't
Does anyone know how many times this has happy in this town? This is absolutely unbelievable!
First.
Surprised it took 7 months for the first car XD
Evolution seems to be going good
Actually it’s at least the third incident of a car on the tracks in Ashland this year, had two back in April on the sixth and seventeenth of month. I was there when the first happened.
They should just install huge signs that say " Please don't drive onto the tracks! Unless you're a train!"
I can just imagine the conversation in that car
"IT" must be in the city water supply. They keep doing the same thing over n over! Good thing CSX has a speed restriction on this section of track otherwise.....
Ashland seems like the kind of town that when they hear a half dozen sirens at once....they realize someone is on the tracks. LOL
Ashland strikes again !
Car on the tracks! Guess where? Lol
CSX RF&P Guy But not the usual spot, this was further down the tracks.
That tow truck needs to be on 24 hour standby.
Wow the police but was quickly on the spot and equal to 3 vehicles. Fortunately, no train came and everything went well again, puhh
Nobody can escape the curse!
What do you mean!?! You see something or know something that other's don't? . . . . don't you!?!
OMG! This is like the fifth one of these I have seen. I will make sure that I NEVER go through Ashland. Not because the train crossing is dangerous, the people are what scares me! 🤦♂️
If you don't have an 11'8" bridge, you must find out something else.
This happens at night. Obviously there is a problem with the lighting such that people cannot see properly. It hasn't been fixed because they enjoy the notoriety and deriding people who cannot see. Shameful!
behold the Ashland car traps!
I swear the police in this town have a special code for this
HERE WE GO AGAIN!
That is a very responsive police department they have there in Ashland.
No tow truck this time...😁
Nice vid
I can kinda understand a person at night making a left or right turn too early and ending up on the tracks but this person had already successfully made the turn and then drove onto the tracks at the next crossing. What an idiot!
Wow, only the second! Always entertaining
What a Donut-Stick. Cars have headlights for a reason.
Makes up for Kearney
i would argue that kearney was even worse because of all the signs
Ashland, the place where people drive on train tracks!
And I suppose there’s many more to come
That was interesting.
i don’t think this is the first one lol
Amazing 🇮🇳

How the Flamin' Hot Cheetos did that happen?
Video items such as; Red Square Box, white circle, arrows, etc, are not necessary. Ps. Tossers are now driving onto the tracks on purpose for their 15 minutes of fame.
No town has dumber drivers than Ashland, Virginia. Nobody, nowhere.
Omg
YAWN!
One of these days someone is actually gonna be hit by a train. It’ll be funny but not funny.
happened in 2018...the person didnt get hit but the car did
Dude on drugs? Lol
AND... wait until the newest batch from the Southern Border gets all THEIR FREE LICENSES!!!
