@@Simply.C Thank you, Stacey. My next video is coming out this afternoon on how I cook and store food without refrigeration. I know you've done a van tour but I was wondering if you could do a video about how you got your build into the van like construction and getting locked in and supplies?
Hello ! I'am watching you from Brittanny (France). I love your video and they are very useful for me because I'am 70 years and I have a mini Kangoo that I have transformed in a tiny van. I can go on littel trip for week and or few days with my little dog and it's really cool. Thanks a lot for sharing your life in your van.
After watching several of your videos, I'm beginning to think you are a genius or you are certainly extraordinary with innovative ideas. My van has barn doors at the rear. When I need to shower I store a Wolfwise privacy tent (Amazon for $40) on one side of the chest of drawers. With it I use a five gallon solar bag I leave in the sun to heat the water. Your idea would make great use of the doors as I leave them open for airflow when I camp. My water dispenser is a two gallon Igloo with a thumb-press spigot kept next to the sliding side door on a folding stool. I'm new at this van living and it's nice to have people like you who have the experience to make life easier and more comfortable. I'm sure I'll be thanking you for the next year as I become experienced and come up with my own ideas. Or maybe not :)

How to shower is a tough one. Thanks for the info. And I heard you brought four children into this world! Good for you, their´s not much more that is more important then that.
🐞Awesome Ladybug. Good shower tuning behind. I used the van myself on trips / event market trips, when I slept in the van for approx. 5-6 nights, always in a row. When I came from the sales tent to pack in the evening, the first thing I did was wash. 1. Put water and a few drops of shower shampoo in the atomizer bottle. 2. Spread the towel on the floor 3. Remove the clothes 4. Kneel on the towel and spray yourself completely wet with mild soapy water. You don't need to rinse with water because the washing water is so mild 5. Dry yourself completely with a rough, thin towel that dries quickly. 6. You are fresh. 😜 I used to do this every night and morning because it's so quick and effortless. So you don't need a separate water container for this, and no water is consumed. Before leaving home, I filled a small 0.5 liter spray bottle with water and a few drops of liquid soap, and with it I got through about 10 showers in total. I really recommend to everyone. Next year I'm moving to the same size package as yours. I'm currently building it. "Get off the squirrel's wheel guys" Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮
Hello Dee, loved the info on the shower. As a retired engineer turned organic farmer I have “de-evolved” into using less complex systems as you have done and done brilliantly!👍👍. Have you always been this “handy”.
Thank you Maurice! That is a real compliment coming from an engineer 😌 I just like trying to find simple solutions for things. I think I learned a lot watching the ingenuity of others -especially living off grid in Bolivia. In vanlife, I’ve watched so many others figure out how to do things to suit their needs and just thought I’d give it a try😜
You're a natural video presenter. I enjoyed this and the bed video. Cooking and what food you have when on the road would be interesting. Also, places you've seen and your impressions of the places and people you've encountered.
I have a very similar shower setup right now. I am considering just buying one of those $150 instant water heaters which will make it nicer but I have a storage problem I need to solve first. Right now I just heat water on the stove, mix it in a bucket so it's a good temp and toss my submersible shower pump in. Works well but is a bit of a hassle. I do not use the onboard water pump for showers - for me the onboard system is potable water quality and I bring extra water in NATO water jugs. When parked close to a water source like a creek or lake I just use that water in a bucket - keep your mouth shut or bring a little bleach (4 drops per quart and wait half an hour - that kills pretty much anything). Normally the bleach step isn't necessary, just don't spray your face and you're good. Those wipes never worked for me. I have them in the trailer for #2 business, but I'd never use them anywhere else. I just can't stand the smell nor the kinda sticky residue. I much rather see that I have enough water for a shower and with the right equipment finding a usable water source for a shower is not very complicated if you don't stay put for days on end. I usually go somewhere, leave the trailer as base camp and drive in the Jeep to explore the area. I always bring extra jugs in the Jeep so whenever I see a water source I fill up with "shower grade" water. I can filter that to potable water if need be. Works for my purposes and a few gallons of water are plenty for two people to shower.
Thank you so so much for showing us how you did all that for your shower and kitchen!!! I was thinking about doing something like that for a camper we want to build but had no idea on how to make it actually work. Can't wait to make our own! Thanks again! Keep making your awesome videos!
Thanks for this video! It really helped to actually see the pressure of the showerhead. I have a lot of hair and I’m trying to find one that will put out enough force to get through all of it. LOL the links are great too because after your last video I ordered the water faucet. This time I can go through your links and order the xtra tubing and magnets. I like the way that you present as well. Good job!
Thank you. Yes, it’s got good pressure. I couldn’t find the exact one I use anymore, though. The one I linked looked similar. I will try to put links as much as possible🤗Thanks for watching!!!
I love it too. Perfect for all my needs. I had to call on my off grid experience to think through exactly how I was gonna make it work. But she gets me where I want to go very comfortably and with pretty good gas mileage. I do like all the bells and whistles on your Travato, though🤗looking forward to seeing your new set-up.

So, I am THRILLED that you are making videos! Love your bed setup and the sink/shower... going to go watch the cooking video now. I love that you use Norwex products!!!! I think they are a perfect companion to vanlife. Limited need for paper towel waste, clean without soap but when soap is needed it is super concentrated and earth friendly!!
Ohmygoodness! You are delightful and so helpful!!!! I need something smaller in the van size and you sure have knocked this out of the park!!!! I e been trying to find a company to just put the electric system in and no one wants to be bothered with particle or lower cost builds! You have given me so many ideas.... thank you!!!!
Ingenious. You are incredibly creative. Your van is very homey and is very roomy for such a small space. Very impressed and I look forward to seeing all of your videos. Thank you
When I was living in my car I used two regular 8 oz bottles of water. I just sat on the seat of a picnic table , and stuck my head between my knees and wet my hair and then added shampoo, washed, then rinsed and added conditioner and used the second or maybe a third bottle of water and rinsed my hair again.Took about 10 minutes, and I just wrapped my hair in a towel and was good to go.
Watched your previous video and got that chargeable faucet for a big water jug. We are on a well and when we lose power, we lose water. The faucet is cool. And your set up for the shower is too.
your editing reminds me of mainstream youtubers I watch and your affability reminds me of their relatability and it really endears me to you(?) or you to me(?). It's 4 am, basically I love your videos
Not sure if you know or have tried dry shampoos. If you wash your hair like twice a week, the dry shampoo will work awesome to be able to skip the 2nd one! 😊
I've come on UA-cam today it suggested one of your videos. I now watched four of them and have subscribed! They are very I formative and interesting. I've just brought a small van to do up and your videos are giving me lots of ideas I'd not thought about before, so thank you.
Love your idea of the magnet holding down the water tap/tube. Just had a look on your link and it's no longer sold, which is a shame.. Great tips though, thank you 😊
@@LadyBugout it was the magnet I was looking for... 😬 So sorry I should of explained myself more clear.. I do have a tap similar to yours but would love to be able to somehow stick it down on top of my cupboard rather than on the water bottle... Thank you for your time though.. 😊
@@lorraineowen7978 oooohhhhhhh! Hahahah. I bought the magnet at Home Depot (hardware store). It is a 100lb. magnet that is shaped like a donut-I only chose the donut shape because I thought I’d have to drill a hole 🕳 in the counter for the tubing, but ended up just gluing the magnets to the pvc and counter and making a small hole in the pvc pipe-no hole drilling required in countertop 😛
Thanks for video! In between showers I use some wipes at traders joe's. I think cucumber wipes? Sounds weird but actually are very refreshing! On my last trip I did an rv park asked if they would do dry camping price and they did it was $15 for the night , got nice hot shower and was tempted to do another in the morning but hit the road, happy trails to you!
Just to say, Dee, van life agrees with you! I've seen more recent videos and you can tell as you look more relaxed, more comfortable in living life. Much continued success!! You are my one of my fav UA-camrs. I am greatly inspired by you. Enjoy you day and have a fab week!! xxoo
Glad you like it. I had a solar shower. It was ok, but it was something else I was having carry around. This solves that. And if I need a hot shower I just boil some water add it to the container and I’m good. But i enjoy cold showers unless it’s freezing cold out. Then, I just pay for a good hot one somewhere😜
I really like how you touch on practical living topics. Well done on your explanations for the purpose of everything in your van, and adding links. Stay safe out there, and I look forward to your other vids (your channel is new to me), and passing along the great info you give.
Not breathless this time. So glad. I used to be able to wash my whole body (not shampooing hair ) with one mug of water, on my dad’s yacht. Deb form Oz
Thanks for showing us your shower & water system! Very clever and doesn’t take up much space! When I need to “freshen up the crack” haha I try to use flushable wipes; I feel like they’ll break down (no matter how I dispose of them) easier than traditional wetwipes. When I feel like 🥴🤢 🥴 and need a *real* shower, I like to find State Parks that have shower facilities. They seem typically really nice (although I always wear flip flops!), and I always feel good about supporting the State Park system, too! Love the channel!
Many municipalities discourage people from flushing those so-called flushable wipes because they clog up the water system and it costs quite a bit of money to unclog the pipes.
I would want a hot or at least warm shower. If you are parked somewhere for a bit, have you considered a solar shower and a shower tent? Of course filling the bag for the shower would mean more water storage. Increasing to 5 gallons would mean less frequent water fills. Or store water in another container just for drinking. When I was a FEMA volunteer, we counseled people to have more than one container of drinking water,; less chance of contamination no matter how careful one is. ( I was a Disaster Mental person and doing therapy is thirsty work)
I have 12.5 gallons. 5 are in the front in 2.5 gallon containers each and then I have another 3 in 1.5 gallon containers each. If I need a warm or hot shower I go to a truck stop or gym. Most times I enjoy the refreshment of cool water though. And sponge baths in between help keep me clean and refreshed also!!!
Holy shit did youtube read my mind. I thought of this shower idea when i was tired of seeing like no shower options for smaller vehicles. Glad someones done it.
Just in case anyone out there can use this information (i do because our house only has a tub in it) they make adjustable shower head mounts (and im sure they make some not suction mounted for those who want a more permanent fixture.
To each their own. I'll just stay in my 1400 sq ft, 3 bedroom 2 bath manufactured home, in a resort with all the amenities. But by all means, you do you.

I love that you use Norwex products!!!! I think they are a perfect companion to vanlife. Limited need for paper towel waste, clean without soap but when soap is needed it is super concentrated and earth friendly!!
Yes!!! I love Norwegian products. 🤗
So glad it was helpful!
Ingenious. You are incredibly creative. Your van is very homey and is very roomy for such a small space. Very impressed and I look forward to seeing all of your videos. Thank you
Thank you so much Shanley! You are very kind.☺️
Love this video and how you speak and explain everything! Love that slow mo of the water pressure.. 😜
🤗🥰
Dee your van looks great! First time I have seen the back since you redid and would like to see a little more!
Glad you like it!😊
You are so creative.
💃🏻💪🏼🐞
Ur very creative great imagination and ideas 💡
Thank you, Angela! Glad you enjoy ☺️
Yep! It’s easier than people imagine😜
Watched your previous video and got that chargeable faucet for a big water jug. We are on a well and when we lose power, we lose water. The faucet is cool. And your set up for the shower is too.
Thanks Laura! Glad it was helpful ☺️
your editing reminds me of mainstream youtubers I watch and your affability reminds me of their relatability and it really endears me to you(?) or you to me(?). It's 4 am, basically I love your videos
Thank you, Lauren☺️

Beautiful 😍 smile 😊 love the bug 🐞
Thank you! 🐞💃🏻🚗
Awesome! I use the same type of pump for my sink & heat water if needed.👍😀
Nice!😊
Not sure if you know or have tried dry shampoos. If you wash your hair like twice a week, the dry shampoo will work awesome to be able to skip the 2nd one! 😊
That’s a great idea Virginia! I have dry hair anyway…so I don’t have to wash it too often.🙌🏻💪🏼💃🏻
You can use babypowder cheaper! Wirjs great and makes tangles comeout easier
Great shower hack and water pump! Thanks for the video!
Thank you. So glad you like it!☺️
I've come on UA-cam today it suggested one of your videos. I now watched four of them and have subscribed! They are very I formative and interesting. I've just brought a small van to do up and your videos are giving me lots of ideas I'd not thought about before, so thank you.
Thanks again and welcome to the channel. So glad you find them helpful.☺️
Love your idea of the magnet holding down the water tap/tube. Just had a look on your link and it's no longer sold, which is a shame.. Great tips though, thank you 😊
Thank you Lorraine! I’ll try to see if they have a newer link. Sometimes, they move it around just to keep it interesting 😛😆
@@LadyBugout Oh bless you, i really do appreciate it, thank you so much.. 😊
Here is a new link: amzn.to/3yT1xho 🤞🏼hope it works
U look stunning love the dark hair really suits u
Thank you😊
When the weather is especially hot. Could you open the back doors for full ventilation and save on aircon?
Yes. And I do☺️
You are very positive. My vito is ready for vanlife. Who knows, maybe I'll see you somewhere on the route? :)
It would be wonderful to see you down the road some time!🐞💃🏻🚗
@@LadyBugout It will be very difficult because I'm from Poland but never say never :)

Really enjoying binge watching your videos! Good job explaining everything. -Dawn
Hey Dawn! Oh dear…I can’t even take that much of me😜 Enjoy 🐞♥️🚗
I love the creativity of this lifestyle and you do too
Yes! I love the ingenuity of people I meet.☺️
Great shower music.
💃🏻
Very clever
🤗😊
awesome shower set up
Thanks Ramona🤗☺️
Wow. This is amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Thanks, Peter! Yes, I also do that between showers🤗 And an occasional campground shower is a great option.
What a great shower 🚿 idea. 💖
Thank you!
Just to say, Dee, van life agrees with you! I've seen more recent videos and you can tell as you look more relaxed, more comfortable in living life. Much continued success!! You are my one of my fav UA-camrs. I am greatly inspired by you.
Enjoy you day and have a fab week!!
xxoo
Thank you, Donna. Yes, I do believe it agrees with me. I feel healthier and stronger and happier than ever🥰
Ingenious. You're such a cool lady.😍
Thank you so much! ☺️
Your pump fixture is better than my solar shower,or a tin bowl.
Very practical, thanks for the links, going to check out the stuff.
Thank you, Maitilda!
Your transit is literally so perfect 😍
Thank you so much. That makes me feel encouraged 🥹
I really like how you touch on practical living topics. Well done on your explanations for the purpose of everything in your van, and adding links.
Stay safe out there, and I look forward to your other vids (your channel is new to me), and passing along the great info you give.
Thank you Adri☺️
So so so many great ideas! Kudos, love your style! 👍
Thank you ☺️
Brilliant
Thank you☺️
I was waiting for the shower scene. 🚿
😂Well glad you watched it anyway!
Go watch Psycho for a shower scene.....
Not breathless this time. So glad. I used to be able to wash my whole body (not shampooing hair ) with one mug of water, on my dad’s yacht. Deb form Oz
Hi Deb! Yes, shower set up not as breathtaking as bed😜. Wow. That’s impressive. I may be at two mugs!
Thank you! Hahah, yes all the tips and tricks😜
Many municipalities discourage people from flushing those so-called flushable wipes because they clog up the water system and it costs quite a bit of money to unclog the pipes.
You are so awesome!! ❤️😍🦋
YOU are awesome my sweet, lovely daughter!
Great minds!!!🤗
Great ideas and products!
Thank you. It’s nice to be in a community of such awesome people☺️
@@LadyBugout It really is!
I am two years late… But I love all the information. Thank you.
No worries! Glad you are here🥰
Just in case anyone out there can use this information (i do because our house only has a tub in it) they make adjustable shower head mounts (and im sure they make some not suction mounted for those who want a more permanent fixture.
Thanks! ☺️
To each their own. I'll just stay in my 1400 sq ft, 3 bedroom 2 bath manufactured home, in a resort with all the amenities. But by all means, you do you.
Thank you! Sounds like you’ve got a great home☺️
We have a 5 gallon solar waterbag type shower, works pretty well when its sunny!
Yes! Those are great😍
