In April 2023, the stars aligned when Geoff and Jeep joined forces with master luthier Andy Powers in the Taylor factory's wood vault in El Cajon, California. Together, they embarked on a quest to handpick the finest wood sets for a series of truly exceptional and one-of-a-kind guitars. Amidst the treasure trove of exquisite woods, a particular set of figured walnut caught their eye-an extraordinary find, meticulously hidden away for an occasion as special as this.
Crafted to Perfection with Unique Features
At the heart of this exceptional creation is the Taylor Grand Auditorium, the perfect canvas for a work of art. Every detail, from the mysterious jet-black gloss stinger at the "volute point" to the Florentine cutaway, matching ebony bridge, binding, peghead veneer, and beveled armrest, has been crafted to perfection. Complementing this visual masterpiece is a premium bear claw sitka spruce top, a fitting counterpart to the vibrant, shimmering quilted walnut back and sides. As a rarity, a true Bone nut is employed, enriching the guitar's tonal palette and taking it to sublime heights.
