    I probably would never have considered getting a dedicated scanner before seeing these results! Holy wow that thing is useable!

    In table mode, you can unselect the half of the rock that has been highlighted for deletion by using the ALT + selection tool. Then once the table plate is deleted you can go back and select any other artifacts that are still visible.

      That's a good tip but you can also select in the same way in the other mode so I'm still not sure what the table mode is accomplishing....

    Totally unrelated, but forever thought you were saying "greetings Hobbits", but in the preview it shows subtitles and just now noticed you're saying "greetings Hobbyists" :-)

      😂😂😂 Maybe I should try saying different things and see if people notice 😅 Glad the automatic subtitles caught what I was saying though 👌🏼

    Moose or Pop3? On the fence between these two or a recommendation in that price point. Thanks and apologize if already asked

      @johnnoliviamoffett2896 Pop3 without a seconds thought. The software is just far and away superior. It gives more control while still giving a "once click" processing option and is receiving regular updates (even though it's already comfortably better by a good margin).
      I mostly scan with a MINI2 but that's because I scan mostly small objects.

    So, what scanner would you recommend me? It will be used for scanning more complex objects where comes scanner handy instead of mesuring it by yourself. Models from scanner will be used for 3D printing (size 5cm-50cm), probably not directly, but you know :D
    Budget is around these scanners that you have shown. Thank you

      The budget is the tricky bit. At the smaller size you want a blue light scanner. The tricky thing is that at your larger scale (50cm) you need something that can scan a larger surface as well. Basically you're going to have to compromise either the scan quality at the small size, the time taken/easy at the larger size or your budget will need to be higher to do both well.
      If you want the small size get the MINI2, I haven't found a better detail scanner than that so far.
      Medium size would be this or the Pop3 at a mid budget or the Inspire if you want cheaper I would say. All of them are reviewed on this playlist which I hope helps: ua-cam.com/play/PLnqmLZKRm5CZLZSpCbyXO1YceOsdjiDn1.html&si=fmdcCzpr_LQDceg3

    I just received my moose, this is my first scanner. I am looking to find what is essentially a dummies guide. Id also be interested in a follow along guide, I do have a printer and can make a test item if one is recommended.

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  4 місяці тому +1

      @bluyben hmm... I don't know of a start guide but there must be some good ones out there. My main tips would be to go nowhere near the table mode, it doesn't really work and will just cause confusion.
      The other is make sure it is plugged into an electrical socket. The USB might Male you think you can use your computers power instead of the mains, but it doesn't work.

    I have major issues with tracking, constantly losing tracking.

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  2 місяці тому

      What are you trying to scan? As you probably saw in the video I had no issues with tracking on a number of items.

      @@ArtisansofVaul Anything really, I find my refresh rate appears much lower than yours. Maybe the light is too dim? hand held is very difficult. Unless I move as quick as a snail it loses tracking.

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  2 місяці тому

      @maciejgorski6981 hmm... At points I had to speed the video up but I get pretty good rate. It could be an issue with the scanner itself/damage. Have you contacted 3D Maker Pro?

      @@ArtisansofVaul Could be I have a second so ill try it out, but it could also be light and other factors. The scans come out well though. Faces look crisp.
