Bring follower utsushi and apex zinogre will spawn still! The apex is much stronger than Valstrax, so bringing utsushi when solo farming is definitely worth it.

Fun Fact: The *"Continue Your Research & Increase Your MR"* tag disappears when you reach MR 999. I would know. I did it.
The carving sound effect in the Amatsu quest is also the old style sound effect 👍
Plus if you take Utsushi as a follower in this quest he will bring back Apex Ziny
For the Anomally Level Grind, we just got a FREE 400% bonus to quests. I read it is 400% until level 200 and then 300% until 220. IT IS NUTS, i am getting 3~4 levels per hunt.
This is amazing cuz before updade i was really burned out trying to farm AR levels (seething baZel over and over) but now with the 400%, i am going for different monsters instead "min-max" the level up.
How is nobody talking about this, bout to go try myself.
I went from 210 to 220 in less than 10 quests and they didn't have crazy modifier, like can't cart or hunt 3 monsters.
Most of then were the average Kill this monster in 30 minutes.
Wait is this permanent? Because I was burnt out on Anomally quests because of how slow it levels

The most fun I currently have with TU5 is my new Lance set. The new Rampage Decorations makes Turteling Monsters to death actually possible. And to be honest the damage I do with that set isn't to bad either.
compared to what you could do with insta block....it is really bad. More importantly is turteling really fun to you....to me at least the main point of lance was always to use the "defensive" options as a tool to go hyper agressive, to start and never stop attacking.
@@zawardo5909 Precisely, the Lance deco is absolute garbage. Strong contender for worst decoration in the entire game. Dual blades get infinite stamina, charge blade and greatsword get sharpness regen, insect glaive gets straight damage boost, etc... Lance gets.... Lose insta-block, don't bother with shield play... Just hold barebones base vanilla boring zr block and get WOW.... Mediocre stun value... I can shield tackle or shield charge and do the exact same thing with an antispecies jewel and get... You guessed it. More stun value and more damage overall. Why? Because I can attack when the monster is attacking AND when it isn't attacking. Why they hate Lance I don't know, it's like they're afraid to make it OP or something... When a new addition comes to the game, my first thought is, what role is that new ability meant to fill. Capcom goes, OH Lance needs a way to use their shield to deal damage and deal stun because they don't have that right?..... The fools... This game is literally designed around every weapon being a counter heavy powerhouse. Optimum uptime. So their addition to that is to ask Lance players to use vanilla zr block again... Just wow...
@@zawardo5909 I killed a level 224 Valstrax in just over 12 minutes with that set and never dropped below half health. I don't care if I could shave off half a minute with Insta Block.
I really like that playstyle for Lance.

@@riemaennchenexactly. I main lance and never even touched Insta Block because I just don't like the timing for it. The new deco is great for aggressive monsters with attacks that's just aren't save to counter. And to me Lance is just the comfort of "nothing the monster does phases me". Doing damage by regular guarding? Count me in
@@riemaennchen your playstyle is fine i dont really care on how you play the weapon i was just pointing out that the deco sucks, its too weak. Its clearly supposed to give lance players an option to insta block that is somewhat equally viable, but it is to weak to do that.
Imagane if it had like the same time window as offensive guard (pretty large) but did 90MV in return.
Or maybe make it so all blocks/counters activate it as long as you have guard and not insta block equiped.
My problem isnt with your playstyle, though as far as i can tell you dont mean actual turteling when you said you liked that but more so how it could be played in mhw. My problem is that this deco isnt a somewhat equal meta alternitiv to insta block. Sorry if it came off as if i was insulting your way of playing the weapon
Sad they haven't added the OG sounds permanently, didn't realize how fun they were after not hearing them for a while.
The new lance deco allows you to play more defensively.
I usually set the red scroll as a more aggressive lance with instablock and sky thrust. While the blue scroll as a more defensive lance with regular block and anchor rage.
So, I actually love the Utushi Zinogre thing. So in Portable 3rd's intro you see a Zinogre roaring AT Amatsu.
Before they stop updating this game, I hope they add an og sfx pack (for free idealy) as well as a music pack for the villages from 4 ultimate. I love the village music for all of them, and there were 7 in total, counting the gathering hubs. That would be a great pack for the last update, just add free stuff that will make people feel nostalgic.
I dunno is anyone noticed when you pick up the little turtle, the old collectable sound for when you pick up an item is back. I noticed during the Amatsu Quest and I actually squeeked with joy. 😂
Are you sure the hammer rampage deko sucks? I did some testing myself and got that charge up gives an increase anywhere between 28.57% to 38.46% which is pretty respectable if you ask me. Working follows.
The first results were achieved on the dummy using only the last hit on the fully charged attack of the yellow hammer state:
no slugger no charge up = 5 hits
no slugger charge up = 4 hits
any slugger no charge up = 4 hits
any slugger charge up = 3 hits
So if we say that the dummy has a stun threshold of k, slugger multiplies by 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 respectively, charge up multiplies by c and our base stun value is b, then we get:

When you remember how Amatsu was the reason Zinogres were displaced from their home and when you actually see that Namiele, despite its coolness, has nothing power level wise against Amatsu.
(on its last legs) namielle vs (young) amatsu. namielle was limited as was amatsu (old games). amatsu has alot of offense seems and seems powerful now. The namielle we fought flooded us out in the cutscene yet could barely make more then a puddle in combat. both can make big (namielle floods) (amatsu hurricane) storms. amatsu can make hurricane like winds and effects. namielle lives in the areas that amatsu can make on a daily. don't underestimate one elder over another. were limited by perception of game limits. they also left out amatsu water cannon drop from the original game cutscene on its attack of an airship. we are missing alot of potential of whats what

@@luisemoralesfalcon4716 it would rock if they weren't copy pasted repeat either. different interaction based on different things with mix up of outcomes. if i had to see elder bash itd be an elder flurry. amatsu makes the storms and kushala hunting in it with other air elders joining in the hunt. Any elder above others leading a ecosystem flurry based on element life living. idk whod win with amatsu vs namielle. i think if amatsu fought inland namielle would have to rely on age and experience. amatsu can grow bigger then airship. namielle is deep sea elder so obviously we havent seen a full grown one either. deep sea lagiacrus vs normal lagiacrus i think deep sea wins. the only thing i have with namielle vs amatsu is its like fireman using high pressure hose at waterbender. namielle controls water hence it can float without flapping. deep sea currents have to be pretty strong with temperature and water pressure. amatsu control wind effectivley causing electrons to heat up creating air drafts and currents and collective water since air can manipulate tides. amatsu use lightning but namielle lives where electricity is common as amatsu using it. so if anything happens i feel amatsu could possibly get close and use its horns to gore namielle. itd be good on amatsu end but its still debatable (namielle likes to let things happen then counter acts). namielle also has a couple more unknown developer tricks up its sleeve like the hooks its wing for grippin something. it was supposed for underwater combat to shook ink and blind the player in an already pitch black environment so might have poison or its ink has another effect if we ever get to deep sea monster hunter with ceadeus an nakarkos. amatsu is covered in water and namielle can make an explosion from its puddles. idk for sure cause amatsu could cause an early explosion if namielle wasnt careful. if namielle waterlogged amatsu(waterbreathing) racoons drown dogs as kangroos drown dingos. it could also find swimming hard or very easy. im amazed if you read all this.
@@coraloceanheart5748 yeah that was some read, a very rare turf war is Velk VS Luna, the level of ferocity between the two is huge.
hmm this would be interesting fight popcorn and drink... i wonder if lunastra got its fur wet would it be like defenseless only for it to use its fire breath. could velkhana ice be so cold and thick. I think velkhana would have to live in humid cold environment idk how dry would work since ice is formed from water. if its the frozen teostra or lunastra maybe, but for me its hard to say.
one thing that bothered me was that lucent narga and violet mizu couldn't appear on investigations giving them almost no reason to hunt but now that the arena maps are in investigations does anyone know if they can actually appear as secondary monsters now? i cant seem to find any answers.
Lucent can appear in investigations as a secondary monster. I haven’t seen Violet yet, but judging by the fact that Lucent is there, I’m gonna to also assume that violet can show up too
I will miss the harvest moon knock back it has saved me from so many stuns, sleeps and paralysis.

I've been waiting for 5 updates for a guard 4 deco that gives 3 points of guard and with each update I can feel capcom laughing at me

So the special investigations are kinda like the EX Deviants, no new moves but with several buffed attacks to which several of them were full one-shots. A kinda cool challenge if you're willing to grind all the way to 300 I guess? Something that can keep me distracted till TotK comes out.
Just 2 more weeks and the game will finally be in our hands
I like the new Kinsect damage deco, but I really wish they would've fixed the biggest issue with Vortex Glaive in MP: your allies exploding your dusts.
It's not even that hard of a fix: create a Horn Maestro-style level 1 deco that makes your dusts immune to ally hits. this way if you don't mind your allies blowing them up, it's not a change forced onto you and if you want your dusts immune from being accidentally exploded by an ally's stray attack as you stack them until their damage cap, thus nerfing your vortex's damage, toss this on a one-slot and you're good to go.
Vortex is a fun style to play, but sucks in the endgame multiplayer.

sadly no since you have to give up insta block and it only works on normal block and nothing else and it is really bad compared to the other options lance has.
@@zawardo5909 I hate instablock personally, it strays too far from other Monster Hunter games' lance. I build max guard and guard up so I can take hits and dish them out just as strong, and this decoration only enhances my play style.

My problem with this deco is, if they make strong then the new way of playing lance will just be to hold block and nothing else, but if they male it weak like it is right now then it doesnt really serve as good alternativ option to instablock and the other counters
Do other helpers bring other monsters when fighting amatsu? That would be such a cool thing to mix it up even more

You can still get Apex Zinogre on subsequent hunts of Amatsu if you bring Utsushi as a follower.
You can send your cohoot flying in sorts of places.. if you have him on your arm in Elgado and utsushi is standing up on the wooden beam you can send the cohoot to attack him if you are standing behind him around where Luchicka stands 😂..

I got extremely lucky and got a furious 3 , grinder 2 and 3 slot talisman. And honestly, my dual blade build is insane because of it

Man, I'm running insta-block so that lance rampage decoration does nothing for me. I read it too quickly at first and thought it was a free hit on any block; that would have been cool if you could shield tackle through an attack and get two hits off.

About the guard bash does it work on the counter guard?
No, it only works with the regular, standing guard. No other blocks or counters trigger it.
What’s the pink armor at 6:55?
Additional note for #6: the item gathered SFX is also the third Gen version.I may have missed that if I didn’t pop in 3U for a while during the last few days of the WiiU eshop.

Yeah and the option to sell unwanted talismans or items in bulk still doesn't exist in this update. They have us roll sht into oblivion now inventory is littered with all these crap talismans that I have to sell one by one.

Doing a rough estimate, you could maybe do it within 13-15 hours. Time kind of varies depending on the negative modifiers, if it's on any of the arena maps, and bonus modifier research requests
1 faint 25 mins.modifier quest in small area (forlorn, arena or infernal spring), sub 5 mins.per run to the single monster that is the fastest for your stack to kill.
Im 296 rn & all we fought from 220 was risen elders specifically chameleos and rcgv.
It' mind numbing yes but that's what it takes. Just play Vergil's song while grinding n youll be motivated af 👌
