Computerized eye testing or computer eye testing is a misnomer. It is done with Autorefractometer or Aurorefractor or Autoref in short. The name only indicates that it is truly not eye testing, but actually it is spectacle power testing machine.
The word Computer, in general, gives an impression of accuracy.
Whenever we hear something ‘Computer aided’ or ‘Computerized’ we feel that it is most accurate, and possibly the best.
Hence, we all are attracted to it.
But is it always true?
Well, it’s definitely true for many other reasons.
But it may not be true for Eye tesing purposes.
Autorefractometer is a spectacle power testing machine. It cannot detect or diagnose any eye disease. But people think it is a great instrument for eye testing purposes. It is not true. Many silent eye diseases are overlooked in this testing process, as a result, vision of many eyes are lost.

Sir,,amr Dan choke SPH -0.75 and bam choke CYL -0.50 । আমি চোখে চশমা ছাড়া ঝাপসা দেখি ,,কিন্তু চশমা পরতে ভাল লাগে না । এখন আমার কি সব সময় চশমা পরিহিত থাকতে হবে ?? আর এই সমস্যা চিরস্থায়ী সমধানের উপায় কি ???
চিরস্থায়ী সমাধান আছে। সেটা হচ্ছে refractive surgery করা। কিন্তু এই কম পাওয়ারের জন্যে এটা কেউ করায় না। আপনার বয়স যদি 25 বছরের কম হয়, তাহলে 25 বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করুন। এর মধ্যে পাওয়ার বাড়লেও চিন্তা করবেন না। 25 বছর বয়স এর পর অপারেশন করিয়ে নেবেন। তাড়াহুড়ো করবেন না।

এত কম পাওয়ারের জন্যে কেউ refractive surgery করায় না।
আপনি চশমা continue করুণ।

আমি যতদূর জানি, যারা 4 years optometry course করেছে তারা প্রাইভেট প্রাকটিস করতে পারে, কিন্তু যারা 2 years ophthalmic assistant course করেছে তারা পারে না।
এটা একটু ভেরিফাই করে নিতে হবে।

Actually not. Because you take any medicines, it'll be printed on the box, "on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner or a hospital or a laboratory".
But I have seen many prescription s from optometrists who wrote medicines such as antibiotic, anti allergic, lubricant eye dropns etc.
But not anti glaucoma medicines.

আপনি প্লাস পাওয়ার না মাইনাস পাওয়ার লেখেন নি। কিন্তু সমস্যা পড়ে মনে হচ্ছে যে আপনার মাইনাস পাওয়ার আছে। মাইনাস পাওয়ার থাকলে প্রায় 25 বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত বেড়ে যায়। তারপর থেমে যায়।
আপনি কিন্তু চশমা বেশী সময় ধরে পড়বেন।

চোখের জন্য কি হাটতে সমস্যা হয়
চোখে কম দৃষ্টি থাকলে হতে পরে।
এই মেশিন নির্ভুল নয়। আমার চোখের পাওয়ার -০.৫ , কিন্তু এই মেশিন -২ দেখায় সবসময়
আমি জানি যে এই মেশিন নির্ভূল নয় । এই জন্যেই তো এই ভিডিও। কিন্তু অনেকে তাহা জানেন না। আমার কাছে অনেক অনেক রোগী এসেছেন যাদের চোখে কোনও পাওয়ার নেই। অথচ এই মেশিন দিয়ে পরীক্ষা করিয়ে চশমা নিয়েছে। তারা কেউ চশমা পরতে পারে না। অসুবিধা হয়।
