It’s funny how when a team “makes mistakes” the opponent doesn’t get credit. Was it a mistake that Shuler slammed Etienne to get a fumble? Was it a mistake that ND’s special teams are #1? I can go on
You’re absolutely right. I’ve been so annoyed by the whining and excuse-making of the Georgia and SEC fans trying to diminish ND’s win. ND WON that game and not by “just squeaking by” as one Georgia fan said in the comments
Turnovers are often mistakes, but Notre Dame won in the trenches, and that usually means victory. The fumble at the end of the first half was a strip-sack, that is a win on the line. The whole game is that fumble, the kick-off return, Notre Dame's defense, and their offense doing enough otherwise. The points off those two touchdowns would win the game. The field goals iced the game because it limited the Georgia offense, but the Notre Dame offense did not blew Georgia off the ball all day. This game was won by defense and special teams.
That’s the life of a nd fan. No credit, only excuses. No one is dismissing Oregon and giving excuses like they are for uga. It’s all talk about how elite osu is. Dont get me wrong, they did look great. But when nd beats a really good team, “Uga isn’t all that great. Backup qb. Blah blah blah”
The fumble when Georgia was driving down the field wasnt a forced error, that was just Georgia not being able to do a routine handoff and not scoring because of it. The sack fumble shouldnt have happened, they should have taken it to the half with a couple of handoffs. Those two terrible turnovers that shouldnt have happened were 10-14 point swing in NDs favor, which is the difference in the game. Without those it’s either 10-6 or 6-6 going into the half and Georgia probably wins the game given that Georgia has the better offense and the defense wasnt letting yall in the endzone. That’s how close the game really was, but it is what it is and the mistakes happened and that’s football. Georgia is the better team but didnt play clean and tried to get too aggressive when it wasnt necessary. Marcus Freeman out-coached Kirby in this one and that right there is the real difference. Good luck to ND and the best coach remaining in the playoffs, I hope y’all find a way to win it all!
@ That was a clean handoff, that fumble is what most would refer to as a forced fumble, maybe watch the replay again. Lots of folks saying that they shouldn’t have been aggressive at the end of the half because of the turnover. You know darn well that had they gone and got points at the end of the half, old Kirby would have been praised for being aggressive. I’ll give it to you that Ga had a more talented roster but I can’t say they would have won minus that point swing. That game was won at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

Georgia, just like the other 3 teams didn't play football for 5 weeks, spent over 24+ hours stuck in a hotel room cause of a Terrorist, had 12 players injured and no o-linemen healthy with the receivers still dropping passes. And also Georgia was flagged for doing to Tennessee what ND just did to us last night on that fake out special teams play. Very double standard/one way street.
So unlike FSU, Georgia didn't lose because of its QB, nor was it 60pt thrashing. The two games are not even comparable. Georgia hasn't played football in over a month vs a team that just came off a hype game. Every bye team lost cause 5 weeks is too long to play a team that is in a rhythm and honestly that's not fair. Look what happened to Oregon.
FSU just sucked/still sucks.
@justinmorris6528 When UGA got flagged for the same play? If they touched the ball, that should have been flagged because it's a live ball at that point which makes an 11 player substitution illegal. Look at the replays....Notre Dame didn't touch the ball, meaning it's still a dead ball. So the 11 player substitution is legal....hence why the flag was not thrown.
@@dvbagnasco Has nothing to do with touching the ball, but running 11 players on & off the field, killing time. The head ref told Kirby himself that is illegally and got flagged. If it had anything to do with "touching the ball", the ref would've said otherwise.
Dawgs need a great Dual threat Quarterback!
We have one! O line sucked
SHOULDA COULDA WOULDA AINT PUT A PENNY IN ANYONES POCKET. TAKE THE L AND SHUT UP!!! GO FIGHTING IRISH BEAT PSU!!!
Think about this, every team that had a first round bye lost.
Every team that won their first round game also won their second round game.
There's something to be said for meeting teams fresh from the high of a first round win when you've got rust from a month off.
Sure is looking like that might be true. I thought the time off would help UGA but obviously not
Or maybe those teams with first round byes just weren’t as good. Georgia was just not the dominant team this year that they were over the past 3 years and the SEC was not the dominant conference as in the past
@chrismahon9266 Then what if it is the format huh dingus.
@@chrismahon9266You’re an idiot, all of them are conference champs, so how are you going to say something so stupid, like “maybe they aren’t that good. They all except ASU got blown out. Thats a format issue.
@@Shawn6751 You must be a MAGA. Their only tool is to name call.
WHERE ARE ALL OF THOSE BIG LIP PENN STATE FANS???? STOP BETTING AGAINST MY IRISH YALL
Notre Dame did not win in the trenches on Offense. Georgia did not allow ONE drive that ended in the red zone and Notre Dame only ran ONE play in the red zone. The offensive limitations and mistakes and general lack of preparedness was too much to overcome. Hopefully Mike Bobo will not be the OC next year.
No no you can bring that up ,ND fans believe they did everything right and ga didn't do anything because of them ,you cant say that kind of stuff..
@@Huntmaster1 Anybody who deals in absolutes, generalities or "what ifs" has already lost the argument. ND's coaching staff - just like Georgia's - coached the game that was in front of them. Nobody said knocking off the SEC Champion in New Orleans was easy.
Why do people keep saying UGA got dominated? If we didn’t fumble and dude would not got the kick return we probably win 10-9 lol😂
Well if he didn’t fumble we probably be 13 or 17
Did you watch the game? Was there any point after the 1st quarter that you felt confident? Is 9 TFL, 4 Sacks and 3 forced fumbles allowed vs. 1 TFL, 1 sack 0 forced fumbles a viable path to victory?
Oh, I reread it. You just forgot to turn on sarcasm font... right?
ND beat us at every position
Funny how Georgia beat Texas twice and Texas still in it.
Ohio will take the horns down on Friday.
@@renenunez1254 I hope so!
Notre Dam was full of themselves this game. Playing above their heads. The punt play they did, that was illegal as shit. Officials missed it, fact. Notre Dame was lucky...Better team didn't win..
You said it.....Mistakes? 2 forced fumbles........ and just line of scrimmage domination is what got us the win....... You speculate to much.
UGA beat themselves, sir, plain and simple.
IRISH WIN! Totally wrong. Irish were way better
Notre Dame is the better team. Your analysis is weak though. The 11 man swap was a brilliant move but it should have been a fakse start on Notre Dame. Also, teams have been getting around the edge on UGA all year. Its been a huge issue.
ND’s defense will be as good next year and our offense will be better. Your Canes are in trouble in August.
@@michaelwou1667 our offense will not be quite as good but still good, and our defense will improve but it depends on who we hire as DC. Remember what happened last time we played? Maybe that’s why it took ND seven years to play us again lol
@WesternTomb7 notre dame tried to schedule Miami this year, Miami turned them down
@WesternTomb7 your team ducked us this year, I guess your not a Cane, you are an Ostrich with your head in the sand 😂
@@michaelwou1667 we didn’t duck you. Just rescheduled to 2026. We had to because if we didn’t, we would’ve had 5 home and 7 away games. And Notre Dame stopped playing us and Michigan altogether. And if we were scared why have we been trying to schedule you ever since y’all canceled the rivalry
@@ThatPlantGuy9311 that’s not true. Miami rescheduled it to 2026, didn’t turn them down. And it’s not like Notre Dame asked Miami to play. Notre Dame canceled our rivalry and Miami has been trying to bring it back
Did Georgia before in the Playoffs...probably not
Kirby shht in his hat on this one
Kirby... please find a real OC... BoBo ain't it.. too many slow starts.. and yeah he lost 2 WR'S but he has to know how to attack each team in each situation and he just didn't.. this team lost to Northern Illinois..pitiful...
Georgia beat themselves. Gifted ND 14 points
Stop it
Win is a win dude. I don’t think Georgia would be saying that if they had won. ND won and that’s all that counts in the end. ND got that first touchdown. ND got the run back for touchdown. Those weren’t gifts.
Georgia just got outplayed. You make it sound like Georgia just gave them the points. You’re a pathetic whiny crybaby like so many Georgia and SEC fans. I know. I live in Atlanta.
How is a strip sack a gift he beat the tackle and made they play to me it was earned and the kick return it's Georgia's fault for kicking too him nobody they played kicked to him
Which means you lost
@@hulkstrongest839 🤣🤣🤣
“Mistakes” 🙄
lol😂lot of good boys upset I see
Two games in a row for the Irish , the other teams bench warmer scrubs get flagged for 15 yards , changed both games , I think a new rule needs to be, if a sideline player gets flagged he is sent to the locker room, no need for dirty cheap shots from a scrub
You guys are on a 2024 New York Mets run, and it will end in heartbreak. You guys will suck next season.
I do not approve this comment jimmy. Poor taste.
It didn't matter who was the qb...Georgia suck it up....u look like fsu fans 😂
Lol delusional still😂😂😂😂 ND beat up Georgia!!! Maybe Maybe Maybe and could have been😂😂🤣🤣
Of course you were wrong, you fell into the SEC hype.
Also your takes were hilarious. At points you basically said “had ND not scored more points, Georgia would’ve won”. Then proceed to give us our flowers. ND was the better team before the game started. Anyone who watched both play knew it. Outside of the refs keeping Georgia in it, this would’ve been close at all.
If and excuses are for losers... notre dame didn't play nearly perfect and they easily beat a yet another overrated sec team
As a Canes fan I was rooting hard against Notre Dame, but they are good. But not good enough to beat us in August! I hate all four of the teams left in the playoff and would be disgusted to see any of them win a national championship.
Rather penn state winning it
Nobody cares what happens in August
That's why Miami pulled out of the game this year huh?😂
No one cares about the u
@@DCindy50 they didn’t pull out they just rescheduled it to 2026. If they didn’t reschedule we would’ve had five home and seven away games this season. And it was Notre Dame who stopped scheduling us and Michigan every year in the first place. And remember what happened last time we played? That’s probably why it took y’all so long to play us again lol.
Freeman has No class. I had respect for him before the game. His behavior during the game towards the uga players. He's a decent coach... horrible human
Wtf you talking about?? What was he doing during the game that makes him a horrible person?
Whaaaaat?
Dude what are you talking about?
He is a class act. You whining about some bs
Congratulations! You beat a back up quarterback
Who actually played as well or better than the starter …. Mediocre team and a mediocre conference …. Stats don’t lie.
No one's talking about Kirbys dad being hospitalized with a life threatening injury on Tuesday. I'm sure he was with players during day and dad at hospital at night. He didn't look too focused, he just looked like let's hang this shit out and get home.
Also did the game being delayed effect the out come as well?
Is that the UGA official excuse for getting manhandled?
Excuses excuses. Losers who can’t accept that they got outplayed and out coached make excuses. Kirby had plenty of time leading up to the game to be focused and prepare his team.
Stop making excuses. I doubt Kirby would make that an excuse
@@chrismahon9266I bet you will make any kinds of excuses when this sport dies off because of this NIL garbage
Leonard was garbage. Irish won. Congrats to them. Don’t tell me he’s a good qb. He’s not.
He was the best player on the field. Try watching the game again and see smart play after smart play.
@ i watched the entire game. Your defense won you the game. So did your special teams. Defense gave you an easy td and so did your special teams. You had 3 field goals outside of that. 90 passing yards and 80 rushing yards? That’s garbage 😂
@@mattburke5491 you hurt bro? Leonard's TD counts and so does his 80 yds rushing.
