Two wins (so far) by ND and bad losses by SMU and Arizona St in this CFP format pretty much destroys the argument that you need to belong to a conference. Don’t you agree?
SEC is overrated! Time for people to wake up and admit that with NIL everyone can pay players not just Georgia and Bama so its leveled the playing field.
Couldn’t agree more. Plus transfer portal. Kirby and Saban are good coaches but it also helps when you can stack all the talent. The playoffs alone reduced their dominance which was created in the BCS area.
Your a clown.. Overrated is a strong word in this situation. The SEC has ran sht for the past damn near 20 years. But one bad year and they’re “overrated”🤡
Nick Saban would have gotten whooped this year too if he coached. He knew after his team got physically manhandled by UM last year. He got out right on time.
Two things JD. I appreciate you as a thinking caster, so hopefully you will take these two things in stride that you should have mentioned, and I don't recall you doing so: 1_Not only was no Carson Beck probably a blessing for Georgia, since Stockton is probably better and played pretty impressively, ND had a far worse casualty list when talking in toto. Notre Dame was down its top three or four STARS on Defence before the game started. Another one was playing on half a leg and went out towards the end of the game. Their number one RB Jeremiah Love was nicked up in the previous games and went out after a little over a dozen yards. They were without so many starters on the OL and had been for so long, not only was the DL on their third and fourth string, so was the OL. All American Benjamin Morrison DB- out. Bailing wire and paper clips... 2_The thing about the trick play down on the ND 11 was that it was mostly a one-way risk unless you count Riley Leonard possibly going off the reservation and throwing that long pass on 4th and one even if he DIDN'T see that ref throw the Offside Hanky. If Freeman doesn't get the offsides, if his guys jump off, or the look on the GA side doesn't look as jittery as all hell (which of course it did when they were forced to rush on there with hieightened heart rates, blood pressure and jangly nerves) he can just call a time out, and punt. But if GA screws up, which they did, ND gets a free first down and away from their own goal line for yet another suffocating, meaningless drive that has no objective other than to suck the life out of the game clock. It was a suckers bet, and Kirby Smart played it as best as he could, but it was a weird situation, in a number of ways, with very little upside. Freeman played it that way, and intended it to be that way. It was a trap that I think he has been waiting to spring for months now. And what we know now is- First of all, that is a pretty nasty trap, and with that little distance needed, it is a pretty low chance the team calling it feels anything but good about the outcome however they play it, and a pretty high chance that the other team feels BAD about it. You were absolutely right about one thing :: Detail. Details here caused momentum - which is a real thing in CFB. Psychology and momentum, things that make you feel _manipulated_ when you are on the wrong side of them can outwiegh how many stars you had whenever that was when you might have been recruited. All the stars in the world didn't matter Wednesday night because Freeman wasn't playing the same game most everyone else is. Jeebus. If he had a healthy team, who the hell wants to play the boogey man? Go Irish
J.D., I discovered this channel a couple of months ago and I gotta say I appreciate your well reasoned analysis. Even at times when I felt like you were being a little homerish (right or wrong because my own biases probably played a part) you still gave props where they were deserved and you never outright said anything intentionally negative toward ND. You still always pointed out positives and negatives for each team and the fact that you admitted you were wrong about the ND/Georgia game and (literally) ate crow, says a lot about your integrity. As long as you keep up the fair analysis, good or bad, I will be a lifelong subscriber. So cheers and GO IRISH!

Wasn't a bully beat down, but ND was never really in trouble here. Not here to gloat or kick a fan while down, but it was nice to shut some of the fans up who called ND soft or charmin soft. How many GA fans called ND a fraud? Again, I'm not here to kick the humble fan while down, but I'm just glad the arrogant fans can eat some humble pie.
Notre dame backs freeman way more than Kelly for one simple reason. Freeman works twice as hard as Kelly ever did. ND isn’t dumb they spend their money wisely. Who wouldn’t back your own employee who works that hard?
The real question is how will this impact recruiting and the transfer portal? A lot of guys committed to Georgia because they thought it would be a free ship to a deep playoff run
The reason Notre Dame deserves to win it is because after the NIU loss, which must have been as devastating as possible for Riley Leonard after the week 1 win at Texas A&M, he took the blame for the loss. That showed his leadership skills.
Can anyone explain how anyone thought Georgia had a chance with a back qb? Also while you’re at it explain to me how Georgia was given a bye and was ranked 2nd with a backup qb? If fsu couldn’t even be in the top 4 with a backup that actually started and won a game then why would Georgia be ranked 2nd unless the sec gets large amounts of help from the committee routinely
ND's defense won this game, they were a determined bunch tonight,gg though,I'm glad GA didnt start passing, this might have been a different game if GA wouldve used Stockton like ND uses Riley

Irish alumna here. ☘️ I think the CFP Committee needs to rethink the 4 automatic byes. People have been ragging on ND for DECADES about not belonging to a conference. Two wins (so far) by ND and bad losses by SMU and Arizona St in this CFP format pretty much destroys the argument that you need to belong to a conference. Don’t you agree?
Bad loss by Arizona state? Being robbed in regulation and losing in double OT is a bad loss? Especially when no one picked you to when?
Imagine how bad NIU would of beat Georgia
That’s the stupidest comment I’ve ever heard 😂😅
Wouldn't have happened. Refs would have called PI on 4th down and gave UGA a game winning drive in OT.
Proves that in this era every team has the ability to have a mulligan early in the season. NIU was a total fluke
It seems nobody got the joke.
ND has the smallest amount of transfers in the FBS.
Ah yes because USC wasn’t paying players back in the day. Guess we’re just gonna forget what happened to Reggie bush 🤷🏽♂️
SEC is down this year I agree but we will be back. Can’t win them all🤷🏾♂️
Your a clown.. Overrated is a strong word in this situation. The SEC has ran sht for the past damn near 20 years. But one bad year and they’re “overrated”🤡
Just walkin the dawgs!😎
Nick Saban retires and the whole SEC goes down the tubes!!!
It’s one year😂😂😂
Nick Saban would have gotten whooped this year too if he coached. He knew after his team got physically manhandled by UM last year. He got out right on time.
@@Slxckshoota12 might be the last good year. SEC is a joke!!
@hyrumhopkin3717.....What really is a joke is your lack of college football knowledge.
@@BaseHeadSports alright buddy. Keep crying about all your SEC teams getting dog walked!
Man this has been a fun season for my IRISH! Give Marcus Freeman his FLOWERS.
Two things JD. I appreciate you as a thinking caster, so hopefully you will take these two things in stride that you should have mentioned, and I don't recall you doing so:
1_Not only was no Carson Beck probably a blessing for Georgia, since Stockton is probably better and played pretty impressively, ND had a far worse casualty list when talking in toto.
And what we know now is-
First of all, that is a pretty nasty trap, and with that little distance needed, it is a pretty low chance the team calling it feels anything but good about the outcome however they play it, and a pretty high chance that the other team feels BAD about it.
Go Irish
Georgias 4 year stretch of luck and relying on other teams injuries is over. It’s back to pre 2021 lol
Georgia has been in the top 5 recruiting classes of the last 7 years , lets hear the excuses now
Shoutout Georgia they played hard but I’m so glad nd won
Last 3 ND starting QBs are transfers. Coan, Hartman, and now Leonard. Next year might be the first time they start a homegrown guy since Ian Book.
Buchner and Pyne started 3 years ago not Coan
@MarkFleming-d1j Thanks, I forgot about them.
@ understandable lol they did nothing for them to be remembered except the fake punts this year
J.D., I discovered this channel a couple of months ago and I gotta say I appreciate your well reasoned analysis.
You are honorable and respectable, I wish others who have been around much longer would learn a lesson and still care about earning their viewers through knowledge and humility. Miami, HERE COME THE IRISH!!!
Ok, good game Notre Dame, now go on to win the National title.
I would definitely argue that having Beck as QB would definitely matter in this game...but Georgia's WRs dropping wide open passes would negate that.
Now it's bc you didn't have your QB yeah we had two all Americans and 3 other starters out on defense so what are you talking about! 🤔
@JLong-yj4yc QBs make a bigger impact than those players.
This win was huge for Norte Dame as a program. I agree, Coach Freeman has the attention of the South now.
4 weeks off hurts alot, no team could overcome it. ASU came closest though
@@SurferRC spot on. The bye teams all lost.
Since ASU almost beat Texas, maybe that shouldn’t be used as an excuse then
ND just beat the SEC Champion Georgia BullDogs. J D. if you pick Penn State to beat ND imma going to humiliate ya
Great win ND, go Irish
Dude you do a great job. Well done.
Notre dame backs freeman way more than Kelly for one simple reason. Freeman works twice as hard as Kelly ever did. ND isn’t dumb they spend their money wisely. Who wouldn’t back your own employee who works that hard?
I had a feeling that this would be the result. After the GT game you could see how this could happen.
Long time ND FAN that lives in Alabama lol go Irish ☘️
The real question is how will this impact recruiting and the transfer portal? A lot of guys committed to Georgia because they thought it would be a free ship to a deep playoff run
The reason Notre Dame deserves to win it is because after the NIU loss, which must have been as devastating as possible for Riley Leonard after the week 1 win at Texas A&M, he took the blame for the loss. That showed his leadership skills.
Ga has been skating by all season and their luck finally ran out.
WALKED THE DAWGS😂😂😂😂
ND fan here. I'm now a lifelong fan of this show. Someone that has accountability
The SEC’s season will be over by halftime of the Cotton Bowl.
As a Texas fan I believe you might be right. OSU looks like an NFL playoff team currently.😬
@@williebates3398Texas will show up.
@@mash8856 im already praying bro, never surrender even when it looks impossible.🤘
Can we please put the sec narrative to rest now??
I sure hope so. I’m done with the SEC “hypothetically “ beating everyone! Hypothetically belonging in front of every other team.
It's not just a "narrative". There are objective metrics to look at. But sure. Go off with the anti SEC fetish.
NEW SOUTH IS SOUTH BEND accept it!
It was a beating 😂
Game was closer than what the score makes it seem
@@jayden12242Nah
@@Nitabita_it was, full credit to ND. But people saying ND dominated isn’t right
@@jayden12242refs kept it closer
ND's defense won this game, they were a determined bunch tonight,gg though,I'm glad GA didnt start passing, this might have been a different game if GA wouldve used Stockton like ND uses Riley
pls do content for other teams, notre dame fan here been subbed for a lil while
Orange bowl HERE COME THE IRISH!!🍀🍀🍀🍀💪💪💪
😂😂😂😂 Winter Came!!!
Nice to see you admitting and eating crow.
Congratulations to the Georgia Bulldogs YOU ARE the 12 team and the 2nd team in the SEC to lose to the team that lost to NIU!!!!😂
Let's Go Irish 🍀
Ask yourself what has Notre Dame done since NIU loss number one in point difference
Appreciate you taking accountability and eating crow, but it was an understandable call. You’re one of guys in the media who’s always given ND a fair shake.
Will look forward to your take on the Orange Bowl, brother.
a die hard ND fan I think going around YT to see these highlight chasing antiND yappers having to talk about this win is right up there with the win itself. It's glorious😂
What’s that coming down the tracks … that little engine that wish he could😂😂
The weakest link of Kelly coached teams was db depth, Freeman fixed that.
Just remember these items are hard to replicate
1. Playing your opponents backup QB
2. Redzone turnover
3. Opponents wide open dropped passes
4. Special teams score
Go ND!! ☘️☘️☘️
Respect earned for the accountability!
ND fan here. Coach Smart is a class act.
Anybody else ready to hear from Ryan Clark and Cam Newton?
the real genius is NICK SABAN..............he saw the writing on the wall with NIL..........sec will have it hard to dominate
UGA fan here. Congrats on the win. I'm officially rooting for ND the rest of the way. i think UGA will be a force again next year but this years team had too many flaws.
Gerogia's defense played really well. ND really only scored when big mistakes were made like the fumble or the kickoff return. Georgia's offense is what lost the game, mainly WR's dropping the ball and having a first time starting QB. Despite that, ND played really well. Congrats, I hope yall win it all.
SOUTHBEND IS THE NEW SOUTH! (out with that old in with that NEW) SOUTH BEND! The FIGHTING, HITTING, NOTRE DAME! Let’s Get It!!!!
ND totally outcoached and out disciplined GA. “Bully” is a stretch as Georgia did outgain them. However they made to many mistakes and Notre Dame capitalized. All credit to the irish.
I see a lot of excuses from Georgia fans, and im here thinking without all those self inflected penalties by Notre Dame the score would have been worse
ND won old school. They dominated the O and D lines. That simple. Season tickets holder. Pushups worth it! Well done ND!
I liked that, when Notre Dame drew Georgia off sides on the fake punt, Leonard took a shot down field.
Just win baby! ☘️☘️☘️☘️
As a life long UGA fan I am glad that this team was finally put out of their misery . The Oline killed the offense all season long . I blasted Beck but it really wasn't his fault because when he did get time to throw his receivers dropped them or ran the wrong route . Kirby needs to make coaching changes
Considering sacks lead to scores I’d say if beck played it would kept the score closer
Anyone else think that Ga. #86 (Bell) fumbled on that 4th quarter catch? I was mad they didn't review it.
Who in the SEC has been consistent other than the Fighting Sabans ? No more best coach ever. Just another school. Just another conference.
