- Nylon screen, also called “pet screen," is soft and pliable, and a fun fabric to embroider on. Watch as the team at www.emblibrary.com demonstrates how to embroider on this fabric by making a fun beach tote out of nylon screen.

I just received my black and my white screen material. I also purchased some at Home Depot. I can't wait to work with the screen tomorrow!
This is awesome. I bought some of this screening a year or so ago at a quilt show and never knew what to do with it. Can't wait to try this. Thank you so much.
Love , Love , Love this. I have 5 years worth of gifts to make for Christmas!
The ideas keep coming and coming :)
Amei a ideia! Amo bordar!
That's something I'd like to have a go at - thanks for the inspiration. I love your machine! I own a Singer Quantum stylist em200.
+J. R Hartley Have fun! I had a great time making the different bags, and thinking about all the different uses.

Thank you for this great idea
Most welcome 😊
Hi Deb ! I just want to thank you for making these instructional videos. I have learned so much from them ! I am going to make totes. I would also like to make some with pockets inside.....to use like a purse. Maybe another tutorial from you on how to do that? I have an idea, but you seem to know exactly how to do these types of projects ! Thanks again !
+Jack and Chris Warren I'm so glad that you like the videos! My talents definitely lie in simple patterns. For things that are more complex, like purses with flaps and pockets and zippers, try commercial sewing patterns. I've seen beautiful magazines and mini-books at JoAnn's.
These bags also make nice Halloween bags. And can be personalized
+Sherry Burton Oh yes - perfect for trick-or-treating!
Gays you are amaizing😊😘...ty for all good and inspirative ideas 😊😉👍 u are the best .
Thank you, this was such a great video.
Glad it was helpful!

thanks😄
Thanks.
where did you get the different colors of screen.
+greenrmytears Metro Screenworks. I have that listed in the written instructions: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592
Where can we get the nylon screen? Only finding polyester and fiberglass or wire.
+Donna H I have two sources in the written instructions: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592 JoAnn's carries black, and Metro Screenworks carries more colors. Also, I've seen it at Home Depot, under the "pet screen" label.
Will ripstop nylon work? I'd like to make a few of these before we leave for vacation (in about a week lol) and my Joann's doesn't seem to have it.
+Rachel Blackburn I've never tried making this bag out of ripstop nylon. Part of the fun is working with the nylon screen. I've found it at JoAnn's in the utility fabric section. Or, try Home Depot, called pet screen.
+Embroidery Library I'll make a trip to Home Depot tomorrow, thanks for the reply!
I just found the screen at Joann' s and used a 50% off coupon!
+Tracy Duecker I really enjoy working with it - have fun!
Hardware stores carry it also
No stabiliser underneath?
Hi Amanda, we only recommend using one piece of high-quality heavy-weight water-soluble stabilizer. Thanks!
What is the name of the embroider fish design on the mesh bag?
+Deborah Alvarez It's called Something's Fishy Stack. The written instructions usually has links to the designs featured, and that's a very convenient way to find them and save the instructions also: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592
Thanks! Can't wait to make one of these. Love ur videos, keep them coming. Happy embroidering!
Can i Embroidery on a Mesh Book bag as well.
Hi Patricia, depending on the bag and the embroidery area, you should be able to. Thanks!
Did you use cut-away embroidery Stabilization
Hi Patricia, we used heavyweight water-soluble stabilizer. Thanks!
Where do you get the designs?
UH, maybe Deb of Embroidery Designs found the designs at Embroidery Designs?!
Hi Catolyn, the designs are from Embroidery Library. You can see them in the project instructions listed in the description under the video. I have a direct link for you here: www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1592
I found them, no need to reply. Thanks
I apologize for not looking there.
+greenrmytears Oh goodness - no apology necessary! I didn't mention it in the video, because if the colors change or if Metro Screenworks stops selling small amounts, then the video would have bad information. So I just dropped it in to the written instructions. Thanks for asking!
