None of that matters, tonewood gets lost in an electric guitar because the tone that gets changed from the wood doesn’t feed back into the pickup therefore not altering the sound… pickups also do not make a difference as long as you use the same type meaning humbucker and single coil… argue with me all you want but you are wasting your own money if you do.
It's probably Laurel since AZES are manufactured in Indonesia. You're obviously not gonna get real rosewood from a $299 guitar, just like you wouldn't get a real floyd rose or real Grover tuners.
The pickups on the 1300 definitely quantify it's price point. I'm just not sure the difference is that astounding to mark it that high. You can get that same sound with effects medaling.
The premium definitely has better quality components. The AZES could be the better bang for your buck, situationaly of course. Honestly, despite the pickup difference, the $350 sounds largly the same. The difference I find is the premium has some more sustain and it becomes notably apparent with the hammer-on section. Otherwise, both have great quality so I'd go $350 if I were on a budget.

It's absolutely how they sound. Does it really have to be said that pickups that are made differently aren't going to sound the same? For instance some Seymour Duncan Designed humbuckers vs. "real" Seymour Duncan humbuckers. There's a very clear difference in the low end, and the Duncan Designed are muddier which means it's harder to get a clear and bright tone out of them. From a sonic standpoint, the Duncan Designed sound worse because they aren't made with the same materials and with the same care as real Seymour Duncans.
