5:20 grease is a sealant, not a moisturizer or leave in. For all of you watching, you must moisturize your hair thoroughly before applying the grease to lock in moisture because no moisture will be coming in or out until you wash the grease out!
I keep seeing people say this but it says hair and scalp conditioner on the front of the container and it has caused my hair to feel moisturized. I guess it works differently for different people.
I use CurlMax curl activator for moisture and Blue Magic to lock in the moisture
You can just put it on damp/wet hair and its fine.
Leave in conditioner/cream before is optional. Though if you havent detangled, i would put a leave in to help you do that. Grease isnt that great for detangling.
Im more worried about the amount she used for that larger section. Looked like more than a quarter!
Everyone please its a DIME to nickel sized amount for each section! Lik, actually, a dime sized amoutn or you will NEVER get it washed out unless you use mutiple washes with dawn dish soap.
For a small section, literally a pea sized amount.
Grease and very heavy and builds up easily so you only need a small amount.
If grease didn't let anything in afterwards then people who used grease for blowouts would have nothing to worry about when it comes to humidity. This reminds me of people who think silicone will form some kind of permanent layer on top of the hair that allows nothing to come through. If you spray your hair with water and it has grease, it'll still shrink for most people, so clearly the water's getting through somehow. None of our hair products are cement -- we just keep repeating the same inaccurate information and everyone believes everyone.

Try using mousse before the grease. It will give you more hold.

I agree. The other one was nice and bright. This one is dark and mellow tone like, still nice in its own way but I prefer the old bright 🌞 lights more too.
