I missed him when he left Late Night but when he came back for the Tonight Show he was just an announcer, pretty much. He used to do a lot of bits but is just the announcer now.
Conan makes himself the center of the comedy. Andy makes others the center of comedy, and him staying subtle. It is genius. Their polar opposite comedy styles really work together
Yooooooo same! That's the problem with being a KISS fan, loving something your whole life, and being put on the spot to answer why this thing is so awesome. Don't worry guy I'm totally with ya! :D #KISS
Andy is 6'1", Conan is 6'4". I thought Andy was taller, but he's also thicker than stick thin Conan, which throws a lot of the height off. I know people in common with those two, and when I see them pair up on screen, I have to wonder if someone is wearing flats or heels.
They’ve changed the music on this. It had KISS music on it when it aired, not this stock royalty free stuff. Had it on VHS for decades. The scene with the tribute band drinking had Cold Gin playing.
And then months later Conan would announce the original band on the U.S.S. Intrepid for the Reunion Tour Press Conference, my first memory of Conan, and I’ve been following his career ever since, love you CoCo 🤘🏼
I wouldn’t say first half. There was a period there for a year or so (90-91) where there was a clear transition between the two decades, but with the emergence of grunge near the end of ‘91, there was a distinct new era.
@@assmane999 I totally agree! I was goin' to write the same thing. A decade attitude doesn't end when the decade ends on a calendar. I'm doin' a lot of researches for my youtube show and from what I discovered the transition year from the '80s to the '90s was 1992 and from what I know right now the transition year from the '70s to the '80s was 1982... Go figure! With the '70s the things are a little more foggy... it seems that the '69 was the transition year but I ain't sure, I'd like to visit all the '70s before sayin' anythin' about it!
Relentless Flashbackin' my impression of the transition from 60’s to 70’s also occurred about 2 years after the turn of the decade. However, the 60’s was broken up into 2 distinct halves I think. “The hippy, flower power, everyone be happy” half, and the jaded hippy psychedelic and harder rock half. They were similar but distinct.
@@perroloco4784 hehe ya, i figured... I tried Shazam and came up with nothing so I'm thinking it was created by Conan's sound team? But its pretty killer!
Poor Bruce. He had like 30 seconds of camera time and that was it. Probably all because egos were too high for some people in that room, and I'm looking at you Andy Richter! I'm kidding of course, though Bruce did kind of seem like just some random guy sitting there lol.
I kinda met Ace seven years ago, when he was GOH at ConTamination 2013. He apparently asked for an area "all by himself", but Dave had to put him off in a corner away from the main room and general gathering areas. Ace was PISSED. I nearly ran into him as he was coming back from something, did not recognize him at first until someone pointed out where his table was, then I realized who I almost ran into. I came back from checking out the celeb room to find this confrontation going on at our table. wtF? There are like three other ghost guys here! Go bug them!
This is legendary footage. This is just 1 year before the big reunion of 96'. Its amazing seeing eric singer and bruce kulick still in the band.
Andy was more involved in things back then
No kidding. Why not anymore? He’s more useless than Ed McMahon.
@@JohannGambolputty22 announcing stuffs getting It's toll
Andy has the greatest job in tv. Steady paycheck, health insurance and you get to throw in a funny line

The band at 5:47 is my band ALIVE. We did nine shows on this tour (in various formations)
Andy’s comedy is so fluid and natural!
Conan makes himself the center of the comedy. Andy makes others the center of comedy, and him staying subtle. It is genius. Their polar opposite comedy styles really work together
I really related with that guy at 4:47 not being able to get his words across. The struggle to articulate.
Holy crap that was funny and very painful too watch, poor guy...
Yooooooo same! That's the problem with being a KISS fan, loving something your whole life, and being put on the spot to answer why this thing is so awesome. Don't worry guy I'm totally with ya! :D #KISS
I believe prolific was the word he was looking for
Kiss saves Santa is an underrated holliday classic.
Zac _ those pterodactyls were terrifying
Well we all know pterodactyls hate the screech of an electric guitar!
Lol omg. I haven't seen it but my God it looks bad.
I thought kiss saves Hitler went a little too far in the sequel though
santa is a mess, someone always needs to save him. get your life sorted out, santa
So Are you gonna buy anything here today?
Yeah.. ALCOHOL!!. lol
But like, now I need to know who's parents had a Kiss wedding?? 😂
My future children, haha
How many people’s parents have had a Slipknot themed wedding?
Suddenly a Kiss wedding seems pure.
Andy Richter is quite tall. He just seems tiny in comparison with Conan.
Andy is 6'1", Conan is 6'4".
I thought Andy was taller, but he's also thicker than stick thin Conan, which throws a lot of the height off. I know people in common with those two, and when I see them pair up on screen, I have to wonder if someone is wearing flats or heels.
The guy in the beggining is the real Carl from aqua teen hunger force lol
We are so blessed to be able to watch these also for Free
They’ve changed the music on this. It had KISS music on it when it aired, not this stock royalty free stuff. Had it on VHS for decades. The scene with the tribute band drinking had Cold Gin playing.
I was only a baby when this was filmed. I sometimes forget how long Conan and Andy have been doing this!
Your comment makes me feel old.

that guy behind Andy was just epic
Oh man young Andy and Conan, full of life and energy
I was so surprised that the audience didn't even applaued when Andy interviewed the real KISS members..
i'm sure they realize it too late
It cut from the tribute band to the real KISS. For half a second I thought he was interviewing the tribute band.
Hearing Destroyer for the first time as a kid was a mind-boggling experience! Would loved to have seen em live in their prime. Absolutely killer 🤘
I was definitely born about 20 years too late
I think the guy at 4:47 was trying to find the word consistent lol
Is the guy impersonating Paul Stanley actually Paul Stanley. He looks exactly like him, acts just like him, and sounds exactly the same.
And that was the middle of the greatest decade in human history. I will remember it fondly till I die.
How many Carl’s from aqua teen hunger force are at these conventions
Every middle aged Jersey guy
oh yeah the band Kiss, that's pretty awesome Greetings from Turkey , lick it up dude, ı love u guys, kick-ass
That Guido was hilarious.
1995 was a magical year to be alive.
Hale-XF11 My senior year of high school.

This bit actually killed
omg conan and andy look soooo young in this clip

Lol That guy behind Andy!
It’s weird that even without the makeup the members of a tribute band look exactly like the real members.
I got see Kiss for the first and supposedly last time. In January of 2020, before the outbreak! My only concert of this year.
Band seems like nice guys but those mannequins were freaky as hell.
They suck but why stop being a fan?
True😂
best bit!
He said the Grateful Dead sucks. But yeah, that was a hilarious exchange.
You can say a lot of old bands suck now, but back then they were class.
Some are timeless like the Who and the Stones.
The Stones are a classic.... Kiss is a novelty.
we want more Andy remotes, thanks
Remember the photos with max, Conan, and Joel
6:31... WOW... Andy Richter made Gene Simmons laugh his ass off... awesome!!!
Last concert of 2020 was Kiss in LA
Conan used to have so many freckles on his face and hands!!! Guess they do actually fade with age, huh.
heftyyjelly nope. It’s all make-up.
Gingers can't feed on souls forever. Once they've digested one, the freckles fade.
You can see them better in stuff where he's off set, the camera isn't as grainy as it used to be, so it doesn't pick them up with the makeup anymore
Like Conan and many people of Irish/British descent I had rosacea and freckles when I was younger. they do fade away
Any number of dads at that convention would probably make a better kiss than kiss
This is amazing!
I like that all the mannequins are ripped even though kiss was already an elderly band back then
They are just as funny 25 years ago as today
That guy in the beater is a classic
4:50 I think he's Italian.
This is basically an episode of all gas no brakes
He looks exactly like Patrick Swayze in the thumbnail
I LOVE KISS 💖💖💖💖 !!!! I Would Be sooo happy If I Met Them 🥰🥰 But sadly When I Saw Them In London The VIP tickets were too expencive 😭
I was five years old when this aired. Wow.
Coach Steve cameo at 1:47
They had to call Marilu Henner to remember the airdate.
Goddammit, that’s a good comment
i just watched this on their website lol
Love Andy..he rocks! 🤘💀😘✌️
Andy!!!!!!!
I was there!
I didn’t know Andy was so thin before. I see myself in him.

@Robd1 replies Andy is still there. Just not as big of a part as he used to have.
I feel like they are in such close quarters on the stage...

I miss the Roseland Ballroom.
What is the song called starting at 1:06??
It’s generic Rock Music. Not a KISS song.
Probably royalty free stock music, although it sounds similar to Wild Child by WASP 🤘
