I love your deconstructed reverse coloring. It really is brilliant, and always can't wait for the next one. I have used them on different pages and loved the outcome. I love how you take the color pallet, and mix the different colors from the pallet together to make unique single color pallets. I never even thought to do that. Usually I would take a single color from a pallet, choose the light, medium, and dark shade of the single color. Boring! You have really opened my eyes and imagination to mixing the colors in a pallet in a different way. Thanks so very much for that! I really like this color pallet. It's so pretty, and your coloring is too. I am making all your deconstructed reverse color pallets in a book to save. Thanks so much for doing this and sharing your talent. I appreciate it so much.💖💙💜🥰
Stella, oh my gosh! This is the kindest comment ever, and it makes me so very happy to hear this. I absolutely love teaching people what I know (not just with my coloring, but also my day job, etc.). It gives me joy to grow people and help them reach for new levels in whatever the endeavor. I am SO very glad that you have a completely new perspective on color and how to approach color palettes. This really kicks open the door of creativity for sure. Thank you as always for stopping by. I always love hearing from you and appreciate you so very much. Hope your weekend is a good one! 💖💖💖
That light aqua and artichoke combo blew my mind lol🤯 I love it so much, I bet muted turquoise would look great too, I have said it before but you do come up with the best combos, Thank you so much❤
@@shellyt2906 Shelly, I’m so very glad you love this format! I plan doing so many more in the next year. Please let me know if you have a favorite illustrator or coloring book that you’d like for me to do these from. Hope the rest of your day is fantastic 💖✨💖✨💖
Hi Kim, you know how much I love your reverse coloring. Thank you so much for them. I prefer it much more than watching other channels coloring the same leaf over and over again over the course of 2 hours. And I enjoy the feeling that I am actually coloring more myself and I learn more. I do a lot of my own coloring but sometimes it is nice not to have to think over color combinations. I love the vintage look of the chair. I do have the original Sagor och Sägner, colored some pages in it but seeing all the flips and coloring in the new edition makes me want to pull it out again. I am defiinitely heading over to your kofi now. Have a nice Sunday 😘
Crista, you know, it's because of super kind comments like these, that I will keep doing these reverse color alongs. Y'all make it so worth it, and I absolutely love hearing how people are implementing these techniques. And yes! When I saw that chair I immediately thought "vintage", like something I might've seen in my grandmother's home back in the 70's. If you decide to start coloring in this book again, I'd love to see! Thanks for always stopping by and watching, sweet friend (and for the Ko-fi! way too kind!) 💖💖💖
Yes helpful! It’s great to know the colors upfront rather than scrabbling around for them too. By putting your finished picture up on my screen it was fairly easy to recreate it. Thanks so much
I absolutely loveeeeeeee how you did this video and hope you do the dragon page just like this one. You make it so easy and exciting to do a page and I so appreciate all you go through to make these videos❤
@@shellyt2906 thank you again, Shelly!! I really have enjoyed this format, and it makes it easier for me to offer color along on my channel. I don’t have the time or patience to do the long form videos. Don’t forget to grab the free download packet for this page in my Ko-fi account! ✨✨✨
I love that you have been loving this book! I knew you would, we seem to like the same type of things ❤ Thx for sharing how you did this page!! I’ve saved the combos of course! I love the reverse coloring style, it’s really working!!
Jen, yes!! I absolutely adore this book and am now weirdly obsessed with it LOL! I agree that I think we like the same kinds of illustration styles for sure. Excited about you loving these reverse color alongs and also our buddy color!! Enjoy your day! 💖💖💖
Such a sweet picture! 🥰 The artichoke gave the book an almost golden look. ✨️ I was surprised at that! 😮 It looked more yellow than the rest of the page, except where the yellow distressed ink is!👍
I will have to look at the page again with this in mind, Karen. I love how art looks differently to everyone. That makes it so much more fun and interesting for sure. I already appreciate you stopping by, my dear friend. Enjoy your weekend! 💖💖💖
I love the reverse coloralongs Kim, I'm afraid to say this, but here it goes, first, I love this book, just got it for my bday! But I am struggling coloring with my prismas in this book. I have seen beautiful pages completed with only prismas, idk what I'm doing wrong? Maybe watching your techniques on this paper will help. I almost forgot, Beautiful page, artichoke and bronze are my favorite colors . ❤❤❤
Hiya, Jenn!! Yanno - if I've learned ANYthing with coloring, it's that we all have different paper preferences with our pencils and they won't always be the same. So first and foremost, please don't assume you're doing anything wrong, sweet friend. Do you have any other pencil sets? Maybe the Prismas are too soft for you for this paper, and you could try a harder pencil, like Polychromos, etc.? I would try testing out some other pencils brands on the paper for sure to see if you prefer another brand over the Prismas here. IF you choose a brand that I don't have the color conversions listed for you in the cheat sheet, please let me know, and I'll try to pull some colors together for you for that set. But let's start there! I hope you'll come back here and let me know how that goes for you. I always love when you stop by and share your thoughts. Really appreciate you! 💖💖💖
I like the reverse coloralongs as for me, I can see how I can use it on other pages. It doesn’t seem as confining. Not sure if that makes sense. So even if you do a color along and I don’t have the coloring book, I can take the palette and techniques and use them on a different page
Fortuna, this makes complete sense to me. I honestly never considered that when I started doing these, but it's such a wonderful idea. I'm so glad that this works beyond the original page. I'm so grateful for you sharing this with me an others that stop by. Really appreciate you! 💖💖💖
I absolutely LOVE your reverse coloring videos!! I’ve never come across anyone that has done this (not sure if it’s been done at all?!?) and I honestly think it’s a brilliant, new way to explain things and I learn SO much from you! I love the way you do your charts, and how you “match” your pages. This is my dream coloring right here! lol it’s exactly where I wanna be when I “grow up” into a better colorist! 😂 PLEASE keep doing these videos ❤❤❤
Tiffany, this is just the kindest comment ever, and you've made my day! I love doing these for y'all, and I will definitely keep them coming. I definitely have one Reverse Color Along on my Ko-fi page (free!) that I didn't do a video for, but you can see the finished page and easily see where all the color combos belong. I'm so excited that you're loving these! Thank you so very much for stopping by my little channel to watch. I truly appreciate you!! 💖💖💖
Steph! You're fine. Take your time - there's no timeline and these will be here for you when you're ready. I honestly wouldn't be coloring these so quickly if I didn't have this channel. I normally take a suuuuper long time on a page. I'm so glad you're enjoying these!! 💖💖💖
Yes I thought it was really approachable (good word!) although it looked a little intimidating when I first saw it your explanation broke it down into doable pieces. Really good tutorial, thank you!
Tamara, this feedback is SO super helpful! I always hope that by breaking it down one little piece at a time, that it won't feel so scary. I'm so glad to know that this technique is helpful to people. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Thanks again! 💖💖💖
Thank you, Jenny! You know what? I sat on getting this for so long. I thought..."meh... maybe someday". But once I caved and got it, I am now weirdly obsessed with this book LOL!! Let me know what you think after you get it! 💖💖💖
Glad you love it Kim unfortunately I am having a job to get it, seems to be out of stock everywhere I look, but am going to keep looking hopefully someone will have it in stock in the meantime I have asked to be notified when back in stock so keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 xx
Connie from Colouring Chemist did a video explaining color names. For instance, the "lake" is pertaining to the pigment - I think. lol I can't remember exactly. I really love Connie's videos. She did one on the difference in paper and why it acts like it does with different mediums. Got to love those science nerds! (Love the way you colored the chair, and the mice, and the leaves....well, the whole page. Good job!)
Sally! Thank you so much for letting me know about her video explaining color names. I can't wait to learn more about all that - yay! And thanks for the very kind compliments. I had a lot of fun with this page. Really appreciate you stopping by to share your thoughts, Sally! 💖💖💖
