A similiar thing happened to me too. My lovely grandma always wanted me to play some guitar for her and I always said I am still not good enough and still need to practice. But I realy was looking forward to play for her until I suddenly found her dead in her bed one morning while I was staying in her house like often some years ago. I was so sad that I did not play for her although I could have done a bit. She would be so happy to know that I began to play piano again and thanks to anime music and mainly ,,Animenz´´ developt some really great skills. I am sure your great best friend would be really proud of you too. You have a great future in playing and arranging piano music. The arrangements you do are getting better and better and are already extremely good and unique. So sorry for your lost!!! I hate it when such young and lovely people die and the evil ones getting older and older keep on hurting others!!! May your friend and all the other victims rest in peace!!!❤🙏🏼🥀
I'm happy that you finally got to play this medley; I really think this is one of your most slick performances thus far in terms of arranging. I've never had a friend irl who was into anipiano like myself, but I know that if I did, and I lost him or her somehow, I would...crumble. Mad props to you for playing this for your friend, Alexis, and I'm sorry to hear he passed.
Thanks Louis. Now I already stood up from pain. After experiencing sorrow, I finally realized that I have to get out from those negative emotions, and face myself bravely. And I also believe that K.L will always support me even we are in different world. I also believe my emotions and feelings can be passed to him. I will keep trying my best, not only for myself, for this community, but also for K.L, for those people who passed away but not achieved their dreams yet.
Very good job man!!! You continue improving, I love this arrangements! In your early songs there was a noticeably lack of experience on arranging respect to other big arrangers, but in this songs I have found a quite great combination of skills and rithms, they are very well done! I'm really sorry for what happened to your friend, but I'm sure he would have loved your arrangement of Dango Daikazoku. It's hard when a person passes away, but they will always be a part of us. My grandfather passed away arround one year ago, and with the time I have learnt from him one of the biggest advices: Never understimate things you don't like, and always be prepared to learn new things. When he came to my house every weekend, my sister and I played him songs on the piano, but he never liked them. He said that we should play well known songs (the songs that he knew more accurately), although he enjoyed only by hearing us play. But with time, by hearing us play those songs he grew to know them and he started to like the songs, even though in the beginning he didn't like them. So be always open to new things, they may surprise you! I find very interesting that all the songs that you have chosen (apart from dango) have a certain melancholic tone, but they are all very happy and live. With this medley you show how in the start you feel sad, lonely, but with time you have to overcome the loss, continuing your life, with new happy and joy, but never forgetting them and what you learned from them. That's it, I never know how to make a proper ending, I'm always surprised on how much I learn when making you this comments. This time I have been thinking and searching a lot about different philosophies, nihilism, existentialism... It probably has also to do with the game that I have just finished, NieR Gestalt, after completing Nier automata some months ago. We can talk about them in an other moment if you want, I have completely LOVED them and Nier Gestalt has become my new favourite game by far, although nier automata is a better experience in all aspects. They have both an amazing story, explore the human beying and different philosophies and both have the most impressive OST I have ever heard, I'm in love with the songs. Even Animenz has an arrangement of several songs from automata haha.
It is very glad to read your personal experience, and man. I would say this is my favorite comment I have ever received on UA-cam so far. A long, detailed comment shows that my arrangement has successfully impacted people. I totally agree with what your grandfather says, we should always keep learning. And man, you understood everything about this arrangement, everything that I wanted to show, everything that I wanted to express. You are right, my previous arrangements lack ideas and experience, and so does my recent arrangements. But I guarantee that I will keep learning, keep practicing and keep perfecting myself. And thanks for recommending me NieR, I will consider about its music in the future!
I am unashamed to admit I cried during all of Dango daikazoku. After reading about the tragic loss of your friend, I couldn't help but let out all the emotions that have been building in me over the past seven months. This was an amazing expression of both experience and passion. I love all the work I hear that went into this medley. The way in which you manipulate emotions throughout this video is astonishing. Well done man, rest in peace K.L and all those victims of Kyoto animation.
Sorry to hear about your friend, I dont know what to tell, but it is too sad that he passed away when he was only 20... Great cover as always. You did nice work for everyone, i could feel it.
