2) Wait a couple of days and then send them a compliment in the DMs or reply to an inspiration story through DMs.
3)Wait a couple of days again, and then send them a Loom video?

Have you run into the problem of Instagram limiting the number of DMs you can send? Like, after you send a certain amount you just get error messages when you try to send more, and you're pretty sure it's not your wifi or the Instagram servers being down?
Yeah bro Instagram only lets you send a few every couple hours to avoid spammers. My rule of thumb is 40 at a time max

So after making a professional business instagram account from 0, how do we grow it? Because most people you DM will definitely look at your profile and when they see that you're a nobody after using the bait and switch, I feel like they'd stop replying.
Great point, I would say that as long as you have a couple hundred followers, you’ll be alright, I personally have built my account from scratch over a couple years so I was “lucky” enough to to have started early.

i dont have instagram so when i create an account it would have no followers. I plan on putting case studies up in posts but I feel like I would get rejected a lot quicker if i have no audience.

It would help if you had a couple hundred followers. Usually ig is infested with bot accounts that have 0. So it helps to distinguish yourself a bit

I got a response and I asked the potential client if they had newsletters and if he had a form of email marketing and the answer was 'yes". I made the mistake of engaging with him even more about his product which genuinely interested me. Long story short, he now wants to hop on a call about becoming a member of his services.... what should be my next step? I wasnt sure if I should send him a loom video expressing how i feel I could be a great match as a potential copywriter in the future if he needs one or scrap him all together since he thinks I will join his program??
Do the call and find out if he has problems that your services can solve.
May I suggest, it would be more effective if you only speak from the position of someone with no track record, majority of "noobs" would greatly benefit.
