Trifles are always worth the work involved. They look so dramatic on the table - and then they taste incredible to prove it. Thanks for doing these videos, Rada!
Recipe worked really well but I'd rather recommend that the first layer of jelly not to be added before cooling down and even becoming more sloppy like... as unfortunately my cake absorbed the whole first layer of jelly as it was still in a liquid form. But other than that it worked just fine ❤️👌🏻
Looks nice but no cranberry in an english trifle....and many argue about the jelly too. True trifle is cake. fruits . custard. cream........ lots more cake...and sherry good amount sherry
You're very wrong. There is no set type of fruit flavours that may be used for trifle and jelly is the only way to make trifle, unless you're from the tudor or early victorian era. You could have argued that repeating layers is not English, but in this case, as the ingredients are all within standard, we call it creative freedom.
@@ericdpeerik3928 well the bottom line is its my trifle ill make it how l like.regardless of tradition or style or whats avant guarde Its each to their own l suppose ..personally l prefer no jelly but a dense cake filling sherry soaked .peaches.then the custard and whipped cream and a grated kitkat on top..
You should pre-set the jelly in the fridge for an hour and spoon it over the soaked cake so it doesn't soak up liquid. You can see at 2mins that the cake was full of liquid when she dips her spoon into the dish.

Hi Nagi loved the christmas trifle including the sassy christmas music 🌲👍🍷
It looks very good and must be delicious.
This is in fact a trifle, be it untraditional due to the double jelly layer. Well done!
I love this trifle and video is great to watch. Thank you😋

Yummy❤❤
Wouldnt it be wise to use 2 different flavours of jelly?
Raspberry and strawberry, although raspberry is darker and looks more formal.
@@thisistheendpt2 true, but i meant more like one layer strawberry one layer orange or blackcurrant or pineapple. So they look more different
How is that Ur jelly sets with the cake....in mine the whole cake(pieces) absorbed the jelly liquid
