Deepwoken is easily the most well made game on Roblox. Full stop, there are issues with the devs and such but it has COMPLETELY exceeded any level of quality that’s ever been on Roblox. The best Roblox games are ones that don’t feel like Roblox.
Yeah, when it comes to what it's going for it's the best I've seen on the platform. Level design, combat, build options, build variety, replayability etc. I'd easily pay $5 for the game to get 1000x the quality of the other games on the platform.

the second i heard the sentence "travelling in the game" i instantly felt the boredom of having to go from songseeker to fort merit every time i screw up a build ( and maybe erisia - trial of 1 aswell)
Honestly lol, it’s such a well made game with a bunch of different mechanics, I’d put it on par with deepwoken since it’s pretty original, unlike most of the games on Roblox nowadays
as someone who has beat arcane odyssey and has two elements i can say the game is hot garbage. unbalanced wonky combat that focuses on mashing and mana management opposed to actual skill based combat. especially with the block mechanic being nearly useless with the amount of status effects and chip damage. extremely unfun unless with friends
@@uppwardd The combat is wonky but saying it isn't skill based (and then saying blocking is useless) is straight up delusional lol. Now yes, there are some ludicrously overpowered builds and things you can do and those things need to be fixed (see volcano build, see size warriors, etc), but aside from very egregious number problems, the combat system on its own is very skill based.
@@kaptainmason6057 they are pretty similiar though. if I were to describe it, deepwoken is sekiro combat being more dark souls-ified if you get what i mean, just like in ds you wait for the opening to attack the monster, but instead of rolling and managing your stamina you have got to land precise parries and dodges.

After I came to Deepwoken, I felt like every other Roblox game I had already played was just not the same anymore; none of them could compare to what I experienced in Deepwoken. Maybe after hundreds of hours in the game, you might get bored but to new players it's a whole new world to Roblox platform nowadays.

Fast travel does exist in the form of hive fountains, aside from those the fastest way in between Luminant's is the hive teleport system, can get from upper erisia to Star struck in like 30 seconds.
I played deepwoken on release, ganymede as my first slot (still proud of it even though its just luck), and remember sailing around just in awe of the world, that was until I decided to dock at a shoreline in a part considered upper erisia, and saw black feathers, walked into them and a giant owl spawned, freaked out and tried running away, but it did the wwe slam move on me and tried to barrel into me but fell into the water. will never forget that feeling. But, ever since pyrekeeper it's been on a slow decline for me. Every update feels like it loses more and more of what made it unique tbh.

They should at this point, all theyve done is removed the risk of dying from the game. You honestly only wipe when you want to at this point, or if you're a depths ganker, which 90% of the community is afraid to fight in the depths. The game also literally created two different classes, PvE and pvp, which yes is a good idea but doesn't mix well with when you think about how pvp oriented this game is. People will just complain about pvp and PvE builds and why they lost etc.

I’d argue Block Tales is also saving roblox to be honest, one of the best RPG games on roblox currently and it isn’t even finished yet. Deepwoken is helping roblox show creativity, but at the same time the players kind of ruin it.

Deepwoken currently (pve wise) is 13x easier than it was in verse 1, dying to things out of your control is gonna happen a lot. That's why you train to become better. "A pvp interaction i didn't want" it's a game that mainly prides it self on its player vs player combat, of course you'll fight people when you don't want to. And most of the people who probably kill you did it for their own progression because that's the only way they could progress/get what they want.)
I’ve been playing deep for like 2 years. The main reason I really like the game is because they update weekly. There’s always something new to get and new to do. There’s a new legendary weapon almost every week and people complain about them being “unbalanced or useless” but they most likely get buffed or nerfed in a few weeks. I’d say deepwoken is a must play for people who enjoy combat games. If you have the robux, might as well buy it.
bro deepwoken isnt even that difficult to fix tbh, most are just balance changes like: 1. turning down the graphics of some moves (relentless flames, blast spark shadow gun, twister kicks, emotion wave, blood cyclone, the grab move of bloodrend, some other blood moves that i dont know the name of. 2. changin certain moves/reworking them to have way less particles and "worse" graphics to fit the deepwoken style (new pyrekeeper looks so weird compared to the blocky design of the deepwoken world, old one didnt look as cool but fit way more and i liked that way more ngl) 3. stop adding legendary weapons, never add anymore, maybe even remove some, each attunement shoud only have like 1 or 2 legendary weapons at MAX like wraith claw, and hero blade of wind, gran sudaruska and frost hero blade, pyre keeper and flame hero blade, ignition deepcrusher and metal hero blade (finally add it dangit), storms eye and storm hero blade, the shadow rapier and shadow hero blade for shadowcast 4. make legendary weapons LEGENDARY, first of all, reduce the chances to even getting a legendary weapon to like 0.5% or 0.1% (1% for hero blades), i know thats absurdly rare but there LEGENDARY weapons remember? there nowadays treated like a stiletto bro, i got 8 crypts that i dont even really want. also add a unique boss for every single legendary weapon, minibosses for hero blades, and no, not just random ass npcs with erisia bandit ai with the legendary weapon that are killed in like 5 seconds, the bosses shoud be like the scion of ethiron, legendary long lost heroes of some sort, that are really difficult to kill, with unique attack patterns, unique music and so on, i dont really know the deepwoken lore that well so i wont give like boss idea suggestions. 5. add way more mobs, like ALOT more, theres currently no reason for you to kill certain mobs like: erisia bandits, stone golems, the black golems, mudskippers, the parasite mudskippers, brootlords, squibbos, and prolly more, other than for xp, but youre either at the hive farming threshers or killing bosses. some mobs shoud maybe even be reworked like: lionfish, broot lord (purple boss version), parasite mudskippers. 6. add way more land and a actual reason to explore, theres no point in some island nowadays, literlly, minityrsa is USELESS, expect the trial of one, erisia is also useless, nobody fights bandits, expect like freshies so rework the island or smth, and the duke is so useless its insane, no good loot, just anoying and painful, and difficult for most people, then we got songseeker, also just useless, theres nothing in songseeker other than shrine of order. ancient rotlands is just a joke, what even is this, it has actually no purpose, the area is tiny, theres not a single npc in it, theres nothing useful in it, and no the angel caves are just anyoing and useless, then we have that gun island, i forgot the name of it, it only has a thunder trainer and a big ass anoying canon that wont even insta kill you if your hit by it, you have a giant like 30 meter canon shoting little pebbles at me bro. 7. rework ethiron, just a running simulator, literlly 8. every single mantra shoud do below 40 damage at MAX, they shoud not be your main source of damage, expect mage builds, then the cap shoud be like 60 or so, and requires a talent from inteligence at 50 or so, mantras shoud only be a way for mixups, plenilune is a good demonstration, altough some moves do quite alot of damage, but youre mainly m1 in the game. thats about it in short: more islands, more mobs, rework certain islands, completely rework how rare legendary weapons are, and maybe even remove some, rework mantras (damage wise and some visual wise), and prolly something i forgot (i forgot to talk about enchants but just rework certain ones and make them like 1 or 0.5% rarity
@@YoichiTenkai Legendary bosses dropping legendary Loot would be a sick idea. Chaser and flareblood kamas was a good idea but the weird thing is the template for some of these drops are already there. Kaido could drop a ice legendary, ferryman the lightning ones, Duke the wind ones etc
I agree except for number 4 I think there should be rare stuff but not legendary and enchants because it’s not fun having to grind hours upon hours for one and everyone already has a bunch of enchants and legendary weapons
@@amrmans2 duke and kaido shoud get big buffs then, like duke being way more aggressive in the 2nd phase, kaido having improved ai a bit like a lionfish maybe, and ferryman shoud have double his damage and like an ult, all characters shoud get a like double damage buff and way more moves

Deepwoken maybe Roblox's last hope, but we still have other *absolute* banger games, "Pizza game", "Phigting" or whatever it was called, HOURS, Decaying winter, and so on... Creativity's not lost, not yet. We can still change this sloppy, rng/Anime "games" that had been coming out, yes. There is good games. Yes, there are games that maybe good and that take the anime genre for what it is, but for the majority of the platform, it's the same sloppy, trend-filled games, like take for example tower defense simulator, yes it's a TD, it has it in it's name, but it's actually good and it doesn't have as much rng as, for example: Anime Denfenders, Vanguards, Last stand and so on, yes, there can be a "good" anime tower defense game, but for that you don't need your units to be locked down in a GAMBLING SIMULATOR, that's going to generate a early-on gambling addiction on children. As for the other stuff, i reccomend gems such as the one's i stated before, and counting on: Phantom forcers, Combat initiation, Block Tales, games that actually have substance, and maybe Fisch, but that concludes my horribly written rant about games, i hope those who'm read it had a nice time hearing a stranger's opinions. Do not take anything to offense, most of this is truth and facts, due to people actually calling the devs of the games i mentioned being trash, over and over.
Honestly I disagree, mainly because looking at deepwokens impact, it just brought alot more budget parry based combat games, rather than actual innovation. Personally, I think Blocktales will be the savior of roblox if it can maintain its popularity on full release, the game perfectly shows what will happen if you decide to actually care about gameplay. i thought deepwoken DID bring actual innovation? if you were to say it brought more budget parry based combat games, then it showed innovation that really showed out in the game catalog for people to take some inspiration because it appealed to them enough to replicate game mechanics after it, even though most of the games created are dumb and made with not a lot of thought and somehow unoriginal. And THATS if you base deepwoken’s innovation by COMBAT MECHANIC impact, which i think deepwoken has many many more notable innovative game mechanics/features than just its combat. As for block tales like you said I really like that game and im glad you brought it up, it’s a great game thats actually already very popular, there’s just tons of idle people like me waiting for the next update after clearing all dungeons, getting all cards/secrets and making another hardcore save slot. @@its1664 Yeah but my issue with deepwoken IS the fact that its innovation is the combat, this combat is being used in horrible games (with exceptions) that completely disregard every other aspect and think the combat will make the game good. I think deepwoken excels when it comes to the map and exploration aspect, and it hurts to see such potential for good games be wasted on bandit beaters that have parry based combat. Deepwoken is a star amongst the games it brought to reality, which sucks knowing there are devs who could do better but refuse to. (Mainly, because of robloxs' monetization methods)

And just because deepwoken is a root factor for bandit beating parry based games doesn’t mean they should get traced; along with its horrible qualities, over to deepwoken, therefore you should eye at deepwoken because of it. deepwoken's combat is literally just reworked TFTV's combat system 😭 parry based games were around roblox since 2018 my guy (they were just underground)
If I told my younger self during the time of Deepwoken's public release I wouldn't believe how different it is now and that my expectations were way off. Though it isn't what I thought Deepwoken would've evolve into, Deepwoken is at its peak and definitely one of the best if not THE BEST game on Roblox.
I hate deepwoken, devs promised their faithful community (rogue lineage playerbase) a hardcore game that probably wouldn't have been for everybody, with simple and hard pvp like rogue, not the same type of combat just the same hardcore feel, then they showed this to us through deepwoken testing phase directs and leaks, dropped the game without saying a word about how different it would be so I spent money on a game that was completely different than what they advertised, essentially a scam. I hate that they abandoned rogue to make this game, and promised us this new hardcore game, while abandoning their entire community that known them for that type of game especially when its actually what they advertised to us. chill before anyone comes for me, deepwoken IS a very well made game obviously coming from some of the best devs of on roblox I just think its easy to see where im coming from when you see how they lied to their already established community, and turnt it into a flashy big aoe unavoidable move meta roblox game.
It’s still a hardcore game but only for new players rogue lineage is hard because of PvP progression and terrible community while deepwoken is hardcore for the pve with once you learn and master pve there’s barely any threats
I mean rogue basically gave ptsd to ppl, personally im not doing all that. Deepwoken is hard but not "will cry in agony and regret your purchase" hard. And don't tell me that deep is too easy now ofcourse its easy when you are 600 hours in and you played before all of the qol updates.
@@Penguin-oj7xm Deepwoken is just not anything they promised us rogue players, it's not about how hard the game is and pve and what-not, rogue pve is not hardcore and its pvp isn't hard just risky I simply mean that the very simple easy to learn hard to master combat is like barebones fighting and the skills just add a little bit of spice most classes in rogue have to get face to face with each other and use game sense to win, its hardcore combat, no insanely flashy multi hitting skills. all im saying is, if you look at pre release deep the combat videos and directs they showed us were much different and appealed to more of the rogue lineage type side of gameplay and combat style. regardless of if you wanted that or not or if you were even apart of the rogue community or not, they showed us something completely different than what they released and we did not know this in the slightest until we bought and entered the game that everything was different. I think its ok to see where im coming from when I say I just feel thrown out by the devs because they specifically changed the game to appeal to a wider audience, it makes sense I really get that, but they could have at least shown us their changes and been more transparent.
You know what I hate about this, the players who disagree just say “Use the wiki so you don’t die randomly” what if I don’t want to use the wiki? What if I wanna discover stuff on my own, and the main reason, what if I don’t want to spend most of time not looking at the game but at a screen that tells me what to do. At that point just read a book or something…

I think what he means by “last hope” is popularity. All the games you have mentioned all fail to scrap together even 2k players, with block tales being the exception. Block Tales, while still being popular, is no where near as continuously played as deepwoken. Thus by “last hope” means only game to have a shot at good games being popular. I agree with most everything except being mad that deepwoken is a souls like perma death. I think that's what makes deepwoken so unique and fun to me because losing a fight actually matters and winning a fight feels amazing.
as much as i hate to admit it, deep is in its worst state rn. the devs are lazy fucks and they just add shit all to meet their friday deadline. Most things are released bugged or unfinished, meanwhile conquest probably isnt even close to dropping and rag is working on his stupid cursed gear game or whatever. They abandoned rogue for deep, they'll probably do the same with deep and leave it for cursed gear
yes the game is really good, unfortunately it is beginning to be influenced by the very things that are ruining the platform. As the weeklies go by, more and more anime slop and untested content is being added, and powercreep is currently a massive issue as well, with new content being better than anything else in the game 9 times out of 10. I really hope the devs can take a step back and focus on what made the game originally good; a relatively balanced, parry-based pvp system, depth, exploration, pve, and lore. edit: this is the first time someone has pointed out the horrible middle-point deepwoken finds itself stuck between in regards to souls-likes and rogue-likes, I've never seen someone put that issue into words so succinctly, good job man
deepwoken is a mess with its pvp last time i heard and that its unfair which is horrible for a perma-death game, yes in concept a game like deepwoken can be good, but it with what i've heard it just isn't

This is just my opinion, but saying deep is our last hope is quite extreme, but I guess not everybody likes moveset fighting games or games like Hellmet, but certainly yes due to how the company is currently ran passion projects are getting buried by low effort cash grabs meant to farm for premium payouts and get kids to steal their mom’s credit cards
Honestly i like the way deepwoken is the perma death system adds stakes to every battle and without death lore wouldnt make any sense and all challenging things like diluvian mechanism or layer 2 or even hell mode would become meaningless you didn't really include the really important part i feel like which is testing different possibilities in builds for example i mean you did mention different paths but i didn't see you mention anything about different talents and being creative with builds and ngl deepwoken is best enjoyed with friends also trying different origins is fun since it changes the way you plan the game and also gives you benefits Edit: Sorry if i made any spelling mistakes english aint my main language

The permadeath system does undoubtedly add stakes and excitement to the game coupled with how many mechanics in game are built upon this feature it is integral and intended. I just dislike the implementation of difficult combat with the games death system. It's draining to me.

I think Block Tales might be the thing that saves Roblox due to it being about Roblox and less difficult. Deepwoken might discourage the majority of regular people not just kids due to its difficulty, while yes you could argue that just like Dark Souls it could develop a niche but large community but still most wouldn’t wanna play it due to difficulty… Block Tales has much more easier and simple combat and is a great story game, while yes it doesn’t have the same replay ability as Deepwoken. It still has SO MUCH TO DO and I think when the game is finally complete it’ll be a genuine 10/10 and while yes Deepwoken does get more players right now, I think as the games develop more and more and they both get a lot of players, Block Tales will get more due to the easier gameplay and less nicheness in gameplay.
I like both games but if you downstate deepwoken because it’s too hard that would be crazy. The game is under the impression and expectation that once you bought it, you read the description that it’s extremely hard and hard by design. So you can only really blame yourself if you find yourself hating it knowing you didn’t like its deliberate difficulty. Blox tales I like but there are just tens of thousands of idle people waiting for next update they can finish in 2 hours. It doesn’t have much replayability despite me completing all dungeons, having all cards and secrets and making a hardcore save
What I love about Deepwoken is its PVE, PVP, and especially the map there is so many things to explore. And I love the way the game is hardcore getting your slot wiped by 2 deaths
Deepwoken is amazing, the problem is for new players it has to be one of the worst designed roblox games. No tutorial, parry based combat with clunky movement and attacks, complex abilities etc. It's unreasonably hard to get seriously invested for a new player.
There is a tutorial wdym? unless you only played like in verse 2 or something you wouldve never heard about the tutorial they had put in. The game is deliberately hard and the game assumes the player bought and played the game knowing its description read “Deepwoken is a difficult game with permanent character loss”. The combat mechanics is fine, but the balancing with everything else outside isn’t if i had to add. If i had to label some game as “It’s unreasonably hard to get seriously invested for a new player” it would be rogue lineage; their previous game before deepwoken, which just throws you out into a wolfs den with a naked character and no tutorial and harsher permadeath
Honestly in deepwoken there’s that wiping curve that u gotta get over, once u wipe at least 10 times in 1 day & start crashing out on everything around you, it’s pretty hard to wipe after that & u can usually max a build in a few hours

the thing with your biggest criticism, after playing for a few days the combat becomes much easier and after I've played for 2 years I literally never wipe unless I want to or I'm jumped by 3 dudes in depths

I played near Deepwoken's release and they definitely made a ton of quality of life improvements, but they also made bad ones too. Mainly the new combat system, new mantras and weapons being too flashy and not simple, and how the new combat system pushed everyone to clonetrooper mage builds. It pushed me away from the game for a year.
they do this to bring in more players because we are in the battleground game flashy big aoe unavoidable moves epidemic which is what everyone says, it makes me angry because I come from their previous game rogue lineage, a much more hardcore game and they never worried about a ginormous playerbase, it had a good 10k at the start and dropped to 2k in its prime and they made hella money. My time with rogue lineage had me very excited for deepwoken and I thought they would continue that hardcore legacy to their next games, and they kinda showed that with the deepwoken testing phase, now deepwoken resembles nothing close to the fanbase and community they previously had and did not appeal to us in the slightest, only annoying because they said they would.

Deepwoken WAS, keyword WAS Roblox's last hope, I have lost all faith in the game making any sort of comeback with the amount of terrible SLOP they have been adding, it has become a slightly better blox fruit at this point to fix the game they would need to remove/rework all the content they've added in the past 6 months for the game to even go back to a playable state (pvp wise), pve wise there's NOTHING to do anymore because they refuse to add pve content and just more unsynced animation 2000 particle effect slop that punishes you for parrying.
On the topic of the criticism I also found it incredibly counterintuitive the perma death system. My major problem with it is that deepwoken doesn't feel like a rogue like it feels like an rpg where you can permanently die. The rewards you get after dying are simply not good enough and a huge issue is layer 2 floor 2 since you have to risk losing eveything to explore an unknown area and fight unknown enemies and an unknown boss due to the max time limit of the light hook being 10 minutes for floor 2. The solution I have is to either give grander rewards after dying either by giving our different rewards or increasing the amount of echoes by a lot. And for layer 2 floor 2 I think they should just make it where your light hook replenishes to a full 20 minutes if yoy decide to go down to layer 2 after beating chaser or even just let players go directly to floor 2 after beating chaser once.
Honestly i like the permadeath because otherwise everyone who has played for more then 100 hours would have the most op build with literaly all the best items and the best weapons, which would not give new people a chance to learn combat at all.
Talking about perma death in deepwoken saying how its a bad idea is insane when one at the current state right now getting wipe means nothing and two taking that away is basically just another bandit beating game nobodys is going to care about pvp builds or even try to fight because theres no point in fighting if i just keep coming back that takes away the stakes of a fight
Ill be real with you yes the countless hours of playing and wiping really gets anoying but deepwoken being the game it is find a freind and boom insta best eperience like its insane how good it becomes. each time i wipe i take it as im not good enough and i need to get better but i dont fully focus on that aspect knowing how difficult getting better in the game is. But in the end its all about how much fun you had dont make getting better at the game your main priority becuase when you do the game will be to EASY and boring for most people. So playing with a friend or having fun in generall really makes the game better. main point is you want to get better but dont fully focus on that and have fun.

I've played this game a bit with others and it is quite enjoyable at times but I heavily prefer to experience progression in this game solo for the most part. IF it's not fun to progress the game solo however then I don't think it's a very good progression system at all I also really do your guidance and helping hand with a positive outlook in a game with such a negatively perceived community. deepwoken isnt a well cooked steak with shit seasoning, its a medium rare steak left 3 weeks in the fridge, pulled out, shat on, then microwaved and served lukewarm. you had a good base, but now its pretty much worthless and they'd have to start over to make something actually good. not to say they CAN'T, i hope they do, but i have very little faith. Yeah there are still gems on Roblox that keep me playing, like block tales! and other really well made games of varying genres. I honestly feel the same way considering I do play solo 85% of the time on roblox. Ngl Roblox is kind of carried when you're playing with friends because its easier to have fun when you're with someone else, If the game isn't entertaining, your friend sure is! but alone you have to entertain yourself, imagine having to entertain yourself while playing a game when its the games job. As someone who's been playing since 2012 as a guest and since 2014 from when I actually made my account, I don't believe Deepwoken is the future of Roblox because it is not the type of game alot of people are going to enjoy, it has a permadeath mechanic and it's combat system while developed and high quality also isn't going to work for some people, it's a significantly more difficult game than most others and I can tell that cause I play difficult games, alot of Fromsoft, It'd be less of an issue if Deepwoken didn't have a permadeath system, it's the main thing about the game that makes me not want to play it, apart from a combat system that relies almost strictly on parrying, that works for Sekiro, I personally don't think it works for a Roblox game because Roblox's engine is hot dogshit with "Registering hitboxes in games" and stuff like that.
I have like 900 hours on the game and i still cant beat any bosses without a cheese build, ive never even tried to fight ethiron because i know i suck and that i know that im gonna lose and wipe, the drawbacks for losing against a boss which pretty much requires experience fighting, where you wont win unless you have fought them many times is just too harsh
thats very sad like duke and ferryman are extreamly easy on a no meta no shrine of order non max level no enchant 400 hp build after only a like 4 tries, also the hole point is getting better over time the game just isn't for you... which is okay
also, the prog is easy, u dont know the routes to make things quicker, progging takes 40 minutes tops, bell is an hour tops, u do chaser and like 6 chasers and u have bell... literally the only issue with the game is the playerbase, the game is good

After I came to Deepwoken, I felt like every other Roblox game I had already played was just not the same anymore; none of them could compare to what I experienced in Deepwoken. Fast travel does exist in the form of hive fountains, aside from those the fastest way in between Luminant's is the hive teleport system, can get from upper erisia to Star struck in like 30 seconds.
I played deepwoken on release, ganymede as my first slot (still proud of it even though its just luck), and remember sailing around just in awe of the world, that was until I decided to dock at a shoreline in a part considered upper erisia, and saw black feathers, walked into them and a giant owl spawned, freaked out and tried running away, but it did the wwe slam move on me and tried to barrel into me but fell into the water. will never forget that feeling. But, ever since pyrekeeper it's been on a slow decline for me. Every update feels like it loses more and more of what made it unique tbh.

They should at this point, all theyve done is removed the risk of dying from the game. You honestly only wipe when you want to at this point, or if you're a depths ganker, which 90% of the community is afraid to fight in the depths. The game also literally created two different classes, PvE and pvp, which yes is a good idea but doesn't mix well with when you think about how pvp oriented this game is. People will just complain about pvp and PvE builds and why they lost etc.

Deepwoken currently (pve wise) is 13x easier than it was in verse 1, dying to things out of your control is gonna happen a lot. That's why you train to become better.
"A pvp interaction i didn't want" it's a game that mainly prides it self on its player vs player combat, of course you'll fight people when you don't want to. And most of the people who probably kill you did it for their own progression because that's the only way they could progress/get what they want.)

I’ve been playing deep for like 2 years. The main reason I really like the game is because they update weekly. There’s always something new to get and new to do. There’s a new legendary weapon almost every week and people complain about them being “unbalanced or useless” but they most likely get buffed or nerfed in a few weeks. I’d say deepwoken is a must play for people who enjoy combat games. If you have the robux, might as well buy it.
bro deepwoken isnt even that difficult to fix tbh, most are just balance changes like:
1. turning down the graphics of some moves (relentless flames, blast spark shadow gun, twister kicks, emotion wave, blood cyclone, the grab move of bloodrend, some other blood moves that i dont know the name of.
2. changin certain moves/reworking them to have way less particles and "worse" graphics to fit the deepwoken style (new pyrekeeper looks so weird compared to the blocky design of the deepwoken world, old one didnt look as cool but fit way more and i liked that way more ngl)
3. stop adding legendary weapons, never add anymore, maybe even remove some, each attunement shoud only have like 1 or 2 legendary weapons at MAX like wraith claw, and hero blade of wind, gran sudaruska and frost hero blade, pyre keeper and flame hero blade, ignition deepcrusher and metal hero blade (finally add it dangit), storms eye and storm hero blade, the shadow rapier and shadow hero blade for shadowcast
4. make legendary weapons LEGENDARY, first of all, reduce the chances to even getting a legendary weapon to like 0.5% or 0.1% (1% for hero blades), i know thats absurdly rare but there LEGENDARY weapons remember? there nowadays treated like a stiletto bro, i got 8 crypts that i dont even really want. also add a unique boss for every single legendary weapon, minibosses for hero blades, and no, not just random ass npcs with erisia bandit ai with the legendary weapon that are killed in like 5 seconds, the bosses shoud be like the scion of ethiron, legendary long lost heroes of some sort, that are really difficult to kill, with unique attack patterns, unique music and so on, i dont really know the deepwoken lore that well so i wont give like boss idea suggestions.
5. add way more mobs, like ALOT more, theres currently no reason for you to kill certain mobs like: erisia bandits, stone golems, the black golems, mudskippers, the parasite mudskippers, brootlords, squibbos, and prolly more, other than for xp, but youre either at the hive farming threshers or killing bosses. some mobs shoud maybe even be reworked like: lionfish, broot lord (purple boss version), parasite mudskippers.
6. add way more land and a actual reason to explore, theres no point in some island nowadays, literlly, minityrsa is USELESS, expect the trial of one, erisia is also useless, nobody fights bandits, expect like freshies so rework the island or smth, and the duke is so useless its insane, no good loot, just anoying and painful, and difficult for most people, then we got songseeker, also just useless, theres nothing in songseeker other than shrine of order. ancient rotlands is just a joke, what even is this, it has actually no purpose, the area is tiny, theres not a single npc in it, theres nothing useful in it, and no the angel caves are just anyoing and useless, then we have that gun island, i forgot the name of it, it only has a thunder trainer and a big ass anoying canon that wont even insta kill you if your hit by it, you have a giant like 30 meter canon shoting little pebbles at me bro.
7. rework ethiron, just a running simulator, literlly
8. every single mantra shoud do below 40 damage at MAX, they shoud not be your main source of damage, expect mage builds, then the cap shoud be like 60 or so, and requires a talent from inteligence at 50 or so, mantras shoud only be a way for mixups, plenilune is a good demonstration, altough some moves do quite alot of damage, but youre mainly m1 in the game.
thats about it in short:
more islands, more mobs, rework certain islands, completely rework how rare legendary weapons are, and maybe even remove some, rework mantras (damage wise and some visual wise), and prolly something i forgot
(i forgot to talk about enchants but just rework certain ones and make them like 1 or 0.5% rarity
@@YoichiTenkai Legendary bosses dropping legendary Loot would be a sick idea. Chaser and flareblood kamas was a good idea but the weird thing is the template for some of these drops are already there. Kaido could drop a ice legendary, ferryman the lightning ones, Duke the wind ones etc
I agree except for number 4 I think there should be rare stuff but not legendary and enchants because it’s not fun having to grind hours upon hours for one and everyone already has a bunch of enchants and legendary weapons

Deepwoken maybe Roblox's last hope, but we still have other *absolute* banger games, "Pizza game", "Phigting" or whatever it was called, HOURS, Decaying winter, and so on... Creativity's not lost, not yet. We can still change this sloppy, rng/Anime "games" that had been coming out, yes. There is good games. Yes, there are games that maybe good and that take the anime genre for what it is, but for the majority of the platform, it's the same sloppy, trend-filled games, like take for example tower defense simulator, yes it's a TD, it has it in it's name, but it's actually good and it doesn't have as much rng as, for example: Anime Denfenders, Vanguards, Last stand and so on, yes, there can be a "good" anime tower defense game, but for that you don't need your units to be locked down in a GAMBLING SIMULATOR, that's going to generate a early-on gambling addiction on children.
As for the other stuff, i reccomend gems such as the one's i stated before, and counting on: Phantom forcers, Combat initiation, Block Tales, games that actually have substance, and maybe Fisch, but that concludes my horribly written rant about games, i hope those who'm read it had a nice time hearing a stranger's opinions. Do not take anything to offense, most of this is truth and facts, due to people actually calling the devs of the games i mentioned being trash, over and over.

i thought deepwoken DID bring actual innovation? if you were to say it brought more budget parry based combat games, then it showed innovation that really showed out in the game catalog for people to take some inspiration because it appealed to them enough to replicate game mechanics after it, even though most of the games created are dumb and made with not a lot of thought and somehow unoriginal. And THATS if you base deepwoken’s innovation by COMBAT MECHANIC impact, which i think deepwoken has many many more notable innovative game mechanics/features than just its combat.
As for block tales like you said I really like that game and im glad you brought it up, it’s a great game thats actually already very popular, there’s just tons of idle people like me waiting for the next update after clearing all dungeons, getting all cards/secrets and making another hardcore save slot. I think deepwoken excels when it comes to the map and exploration aspect, and it hurts to see such potential for good games be wasted on bandit beaters that have parry based combat. Though it isn't what I thought Deepwoken would've evolve into, Deepwoken is at its peak and definitely one of the best if not THE BEST game on Roblox.
I hate deepwoken, devs promised their faithful community (rogue lineage playerbase) a hardcore game that probably wouldn't have been for everybody, with simple and hard pvp like rogue, not the same type of combat just the same hardcore feel, then they showed this to us through deepwoken testing phase directs and leaks, dropped the game without saying a word about how different it would be so I spent money on a game that was completely different than what they advertised, essentially a scam. I hate that they abandoned rogue to make this game, and promised us this new hardcore game, while abandoning their entire community that known them for that type of game especially when its actually what they advertised to us. chill before anyone comes for me, deepwoken IS a very well made game obviously coming from some of the best devs of on roblox I just think its easy to see where im coming from when you see how they lied to their already established community, and turnt it into a flashy big aoe unavoidable move meta roblox game.

@@Penguin-oj7xm Deepwoken is just not anything they promised us rogue players, it's not about how hard the game is and pve and what-not, rogue pve is not hardcore and its pvp isn't hard just risky I simply mean that the very simple easy to learn hard to master combat is like barebones fighting and the skills just add a little bit of spice most classes in rogue have to get face to face with each other and use game sense to win, its hardcore combat, no insanely flashy multi hitting skills. all im saying is, if you look at pre release deep the combat videos and directs they showed us were much different and appealed to more of the rogue lineage type side of gameplay and combat style. regardless of if you wanted that or not or if you were even apart of the rogue community or not, they showed us something completely different than what they released and we did not know this in the slightest until we bought and entered the game that everything was different. I think its ok to see where im coming from when I say I just feel thrown out by the devs because they specifically changed the game to appeal to a wider audience, it makes sense I really get that, but they could have at least shown us their changes and been more transparent.
You know what I hate about this, the players who disagree just say “Use the wiki so you don’t die randomly” what if I don’t want to use the wiki? What if I wanna discover stuff on my own, and the main reason, what if I don’t want to spend most of time not looking at the game but at a screen that tells me what to do. At that point just read a book or something…
you shouldn’t anyways… the game is designed in a way u discover stuff on your own and it’s all deliberate. U only look at wikis when ur absolutely lost in direction

I think what he means by “last hope” is popularity. All the games you have mentioned all fail to scrap together even 2k players, with block tales being the exception. Block Tales, while still being popular, is no where near as continuously played as deepwoken. Thus by “last hope” means only game to have a shot at good games being popular.

I agree with most everything except being mad that deepwoken is a souls like perma death. I think that's what makes deepwoken so unique and fun to me because losing a fight actually matters and winning a fight feels amazing.
as much as i hate to admit it, deep is in its worst state rn. the devs are lazy fucks and they just add shit all to meet their friday deadline. yes the game is really good, unfortunately it is beginning to be influenced by the very things that are ruining the platform. As the weeklies go by, more and more anime slop and untested content is being added, and powercreep is currently a massive issue as well, with new content being better than anything else in the game 9 times out of 10. I really hope the devs can take a step back and focus on what made the game originally good; a relatively balanced, parry-based pvp system, depth, exploration, pve, and lore.

This is just my opinion, but saying deep is our last hope is quite extreme, but I guess not everybody likes moveset fighting games or games like Hellmet, but certainly yes due to how the company is currently ran passion projects are getting buried by low effort cash grabs meant to farm for premium payouts and get kids to steal their mom’s credit cards
Honestly i like the way deepwoken is the perma death system adds stakes to every battle and without death lore wouldnt make any sense and all challenging things like diluvian mechanism or layer 2 or even hell mode would become meaningless you didn't really include the really important part i feel like which is testing different possibilities in builds for example i mean you did mention different paths but i didn't see you mention anything about different talents and being creative with builds and ngl deepwoken is best enjoyed with friends also trying different origins is fun since it changes the way you plan the game and also gives you benefits

The permadeath system does undoubtedly add stakes and excitement to the game coupled with how many mechanics in game are built upon this feature it is integral and intended. I just dislike the implementation of difficult combat with the games death system. It's draining to me.

I think Block Tales might be the thing that saves Roblox due to it being about Roblox and less difficult. Deepwoken might discourage the majority of regular people not just kids due to its difficulty, while yes you could argue that just like Dark Souls it could develop a niche but large community but still most wouldn’t wanna play it due to difficulty… Block Tales has much more easier and simple combat and is a great story game, while yes it doesn’t have the same replay ability as Deepwoken. It still has SO MUCH TO DO and I think when the game is finally complete it’ll be a genuine 10/10 and while yes Deepwoken does get more players right now, I think as the games develop more and more and they both get a lot of players, Block Tales will get more due to the easier gameplay and less nicheness in gameplay.
I like both games but if you downstate deepwoken because it’s too hard that would be crazy. The game is under the impression and expectation that once you bought it, you read the description that it’s extremely hard and hard by design. So you can only really blame yourself if you find yourself hating it knowing you didn’t like its deliberate difficulty. Blox tales I like but there are just tens of thousands of idle people waiting for next update they can finish in 2 hours. It doesn’t have much replayability despite me completing all dungeons, having all cards and secrets and making a hardcore save

What I love about Deepwoken is its PVE, PVP, and especially the map there is so many things to explore. And I love the way the game is hardcore getting your slot wiped by 2 deaths

Deepwoken is amazing, the problem is for new players it has to be one of the worst designed roblox games. No tutorial, parry based combat with clunky movement and attacks, complex abilities etc. It's unreasonably hard to get seriously invested for a new player.
There is a tutorial wdym? unless you only played like in verse 2 or something you wouldve never heard about the tutorial they had put in. The game is deliberately hard and the game assumes the player bought and played the game knowing its description read “Deepwoken is a difficult game with permanent character loss”. The combat mechanics is fine, but the balancing with everything else outside isn’t if i had to add. If i had to label some game as “It’s unreasonably hard to get seriously invested for a new player” it would be rogue lineage; their previous game before deepwoken, which just throws you out into a wolfs den with a naked character and no tutorial and harsher permadeath

I played near Deepwoken's release and they definitely made a ton of quality of life improvements, but they also made bad ones too. Mainly the new combat system, new mantras and weapons being too flashy and not simple, and how the new combat system pushed everyone to clonetrooper mage builds. It pushed me away from the game for a year.
they do this to bring in more players because we are in the battleground game flashy big aoe unavoidable moves epidemic which is what everyone says, it makes me angry because I come from their previous game rogue lineage, a much more hardcore game and they never worried about a ginormous playerbase, it had a good 10k at the start and dropped to 2k in its prime and they made hella money. My time with rogue lineage had me very excited for deepwoken and I thought they would continue that hardcore legacy to their next games, and they kinda showed that with the deepwoken testing phase, now deepwoken resembles nothing close to the fanbase and community they previously had and did not appeal to us in the slightest, only annoying because they said they would.

Deepwoken WAS, keyword WAS Roblox's last hope, I have lost all faith in the game making any sort of comeback with the amount of terrible SLOP they have been adding, it has become a slightly better blox fruit at this point to fix the game they would need to remove/rework all the content they've added in the past 6 months for the game to even go back to a playable state (pvp wise), pve wise there's NOTHING to do anymore because they refuse to add pve content and just more unsynced animation 2000 particle effect slop that punishes you for parrying.
The fact you called deepwoken "Roblox's Last Hope" shows how good games are such a hidden gem that you focus on one game.
On the topic of the criticism I also found it incredibly counterintuitive the perma death system. My major problem with it is that deepwoken doesn't feel like a rogue like it feels like an rpg where you can permanently die. The rewards you get after dying are simply not good enough and a huge issue is layer 2 floor 2 since you have to risk losing eveything to explore an unknown area and fight unknown enemies and an unknown boss due to the max time limit of the light hook being 10 minutes for floor 2. The solution I have is to either give grander rewards after dying either by giving our different rewards or increasing the amount of echoes by a lot. And for layer 2 floor 2 I think they should just make it where your light hook replenishes to a full 20 minutes if yoy decide to go down to layer 2 after beating chaser or even just let players go directly to floor 2 after beating chaser once.
Honestly i like the permadeath because otherwise everyone who has played for more then 100 hours would have the most op build with literaly all the best items and the best weapons, which would not give new people a chance to learn combat at all.
Talking about perma death in deepwoken saying how its a bad idea is insane when one at the current state right now getting wipe means nothing and two taking that away is basically just another bandit beating game nobodys is going to care about pvp builds or even try to fight because theres no point in fighting if i just keep coming back that takes away the stakes of a fight
Ill be real with you yes the countless hours of playing and wiping really gets anoying but deepwoken being the game it is find a freind and boom insta best eperience like its insane how good it becomes. each time i wipe i take it as im not good enough and i need to get better but i dont fully focus on that aspect knowing how difficult getting better in the game is. But in the end its all about how much fun you had dont make getting better at the game your main priority becuase when you do the game will be to EASY and boring for most people. So playing with a friend or having fun in generall really makes the game better. main point is you want to get better but dont fully focus on that and have fun.

I've played this game a bit with others and it is quite enjoyable at times but I heavily prefer to experience progression in this game solo for the most part. IF it's not fun to progress the game solo however then I don't think it's a very good progression system at all

Yeah there are still gems on Roblox that keep me playing, like block tales! and other really well made games of varying genres. I honestly feel the same way considering I do play solo 85% of the time on roblox. Ngl Roblox is kind of carried when you're playing with friends because its easier to have fun when you're with someone else, If the game isn't entertaining, your friend sure is! but alone you have to entertain yourself, imagine having to entertain yourself while playing a game when its the games job. As someone who's been playing since 2012 as a guest and since 2014 from when I actually made my account, I don't believe Deepwoken is the future of Roblox because it is not the type of game alot of people are going to enjoy, it has a permadeath mechanic and it's combat system while developed and high quality also isn't going to work for some people, it's a significantly more difficult game than most others and I can tell that cause I play difficult games, alot of Fromsoft, It'd be less of an issue if Deepwoken didn't have a permadeath system, it's the main thing about the game that makes me not want to play it, apart from a combat system that relies almost strictly on parrying, that works for Sekiro, I personally don't think it works for a Roblox game because Roblox's engine is hot dogshit with "Registering hitboxes in games" and stuff like that.

I have like 900 hours on the game and i still cant beat any bosses without a cheese build, ive never even tried to fight ethiron because i know i suck and that i know that im gonna lose and wipe, the drawbacks for losing against a boss which pretty much requires experience fighting, where you wont win unless you have fought them many times is just too harsh
