Hardly! Too much wishful thinking, however much those ladies may have wished it so! Maybe they were trying too hard, but without success! Then, as they say in Scotland, “hard cheese!”
She was arguably the most beautiful woman of her time! A million thanks to you for this. - your - superb documentary. A great pity her beauty and gentleness of character was not passed down to her daughters…

Wonderful review of Viktoria's life. Politically expedient as her marriage might have been, it's hard to believe it wasn't a love match! I'd like to know more about her brothers. I suppose they married into minor or maybe not so minor German nobility. And fought in World War II.
@@BackToHistoryYT yep. Looks like both men and women today can agree that she looks out of this world-beautiful. I bet she got the good genes from her parrents
It must be those Saxe-Coburg genes. Nearly every royal family suddenly looked more beautiful or handsome when those got passed around. Even Queen Victoria was startlingly good-looking when she was younger (though not quite the level of the actress on that show).
The vanity of emperors plunged the world into war, the German, Russian & Austrian people had just about enough of their kings & by 1918 their thrones ceased to exist!
Unless a Woman was a Queen or Empress the role of the Woman was to be unimpressive to support her husband look respectable and add successors to the lineage. She actually did her job and fulfill her role.Great Lady and a beautiful Woman.
