- In today’s video we will be talking about the 4 daughters of Emperor Frederick III of Germany, Charlotte, Victoria, Sophie and Margaret. Their tumultuous life stories range from throwing salacious parties and entertaining much younger lovers to serving as a nurse during the world war and hosting dinner parties for Adolf Hitler. Their biographies bear many high and lowlights and we’re about to explore them all.
Hey there, I hope you enjoyed the Prussian princesses‘ biographies!
Can you guess which video will be next? ;-)
Their brother?
This particular video was most interesting and educational! And I thought I knew everything about the extended royal families! Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! I am most grateful!
You‘re very welcome, I‘m glad you liked it!! :)
This was a really amazing video! I’m working on a video about Queen Victoria’s Daughters, so it was nice to learn about some of her granddaughters :)
Thank you, glad you liked it! That sounds interesting, I‘ll definitely tune in :)
Great! I have subscribed.
Oh I'll definitely check out that video too !
This was fascinating! I have always been interested in their mother. I remembered the names "Moretta" and "Mossy." It was good to learn more about them; they were all so interesting. Thank you for all your hard work!
I‘m glad you liked it!!
I agree, all their biographies are so different, yet equally exciting.
You‘re very welcome!
Great video yet again!
I like listening to you & personally I understand you perfectly fine. Maybe slow down a bit at times, but otherwise I think you‘re doing an awesome job for being new to UA-cam, keep going! 😊
Thanks a lot, I‘m glad you liked it!
I‘m thankful to finally receive some feedback so I can make better content :)
So after Sophie was no longer queen of Greece, she left Orthodoxy and "returned to the Christian religion." What? Orthodox are not Christian? Surely you meant to say she returned to the "Protestant" religion. This is a flaw in an otherwise excellent presentation. Some might be offended by that mistake. Perhaps you should correct it.
Hey, Thanks for pointing it out, That’s what I meant of course. I can’t really change the audio afterwards, so the only thing I can do is point out what I meant with it.
@@historyfoxy5278 You're welcome. I enjoy your presentations. They are informative and interesting. Keep up the good work.
@@blakewilley2754 I‘m glad you enjoy it. I‘ve only been on UA-cam for 10 weeks and still have things to work on. It‘s work in progress on this channel! 😁
Thank you. I did not know much about the queen-consort of Prussia, Victoria's daughters. I have always viewed her husband,
Frederick's death a tragedy for Prussia/Germany, as well as for his wife and children. Had Frederick lived he would have been
a ruler who would have worked with Britain to contain the rabid authoritarianism of both Russia and Austria that was
impossible to maintain as Europe entered the 20th century.
I knew as soon as I saw the thumbnail picture that they were descended from Victoria and Albert. They'd got that "look".
They have a distinctive look for sure!
Fascinating! Good to hear about Vicky's daughters in more detail as Wilhelm stole all the attention, being the heir. Thank you from Scotland.
You‘re welcome! 😊
What a great video, I can see what you mean by it taking a bit of time. I really love the family overview with which you started the video ! Very cool !
Thanks, glad you liked it! :)
Hi, this video just came in my recommendations so watching now, already hit 👍, & sub'd. Love history videos! Gonna give you a chance & go through & watch some others after this one!
This is wonderful! Thank You!
Glad you liked it!! :)
Excellent, well researched video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I just found this lovely gem of a channel. Great content, I love hearing all the juicy bits of gossip from the past. Any chance of the Borgia’s getting a series? Lucrezia was fascinating!!!
I'm glad you found your way to my channel! :)
Sure! I have some videos planned for the next few weeks, but I'll add the Borgias to the list and I'll see how I can create a series around them, including Lucrezia. I find her very interesting as well, also because she's so infamous and it's always interesting to shine some light on historical figures from today's perspective!
I think this is a great synopsis but I could barely understand the running commentary. I would like to suggest if you could add written comments as well as audio. That may help with the program. Good luck.
Thanks for your comment and your suggestion! :)
I turned on closed captioning.
Is the narrator german? Very difficult to follow...
I love developing my ear to accents and different dialects.
Your enunciation was perfect.
And, I truly appreciate somebody who's capable of mastering more than just one's own native tongue. It's truly an accomplishment.
My husband on the other hand ...🙉 struggles with any accent outside of southern California....🌻🌻🌻
@@christinemuller-wolff4575 I disagree. I'm from Finland and have no problem undestanding the narrators dialect.
Hi. I’ve just found and subscribed to your UA-cam channel. I love anything about European or British royalty.
Welcome to the channel!! :)
Sophia of Greece is the current queen mother of Spain (Sophia) grandmother 👌🏼🎯👌🏼
Por favor ,pongan subtitulos en español,,me encantan estas historias 😊
Very interesting. Thanks so much 💐
Great video.
Thank you
I really enjoy your video. Can’t wait to watch more from u. please remember audio is 50% of your video. Please make sure your audio is at a even throughout your edit. I can hear when u turn away from the mic.
Glad you enjoyed it. I‘m working on a better solution for the audio!
All Queen Victoria’s granddaughters have the same resemblance! Wow 😯
Actually Willie was her favorite grandchild, not Charlotte.
By now I‘ve read different versions, some claim that Elisabeth of Hessen-Darmstadt was her favorite, other sources say it was Wilhelm indeed and then there is a letter where Victoria says Charlotte is her dearest. Maybe it was hard to choose from 42 grandchildren
The music in the background is really annoying. It makes it difficult to concentrate on the speaker.
Thanks for your suggestion, I'll keep it in mind when creating my next video.
please do more videos on royal families of Europe
I‘m working on it! :)
Charlotte looks like her aunt Beatrice I see it alot
Agreed, I think she also has something from her Aunt Alice.
Your voice and way of talking sounds very sad! But the theme is interesting.
It's difficult to understand
Wasnt Alix pf Hesse the favorote grandchildten of Queen Voctoria? How could Vicky?Princess Royal hostd parties for Hitler when she died when he wae like 5 or 6? She died in 1901. Princhess Charlotte suffered from and inherited her Great great grandfsther's King Georhe III's disease Porphyria
Pictures U show Of Charlotte aren't her
Its not Constantin but Constantyne...
Thanks for your comment, I missed the e at the end, but I‘ve never seen it written with y anywhere?
Parents were first cousin?
Yes. Wilhelms grandmother Queen Victoria & Augustes grandmother Feodora of Leiningen were halfsisters, so their mothers were first cousins.
Кто из многочисленных детей и внуков Виктории унаследовал гемофилию, как её внучка и будущая императрица Александра Фёдоровна?
Non si può proprio fare la traduzione in italiano? É così difficile?
Hey there, I'm working on a solution to provide more subtitles, hang in there ;)
Its actually dona not donna
You don't hear much on German royalty. Thanks for sharing!
You‘re very welcome!
We lost the war.....think....thats why....there is still no peace....i remember many times when English speaker redicouled my mothertounge german as being HARSH AND UGLY....there was a,reason for it... mean spirited. . Pray for peace
Gota
Charlotte sounds terrifying, thank you.
Yeah, she seemed to have been quite a personality!!
@@historyfoxy5278 Another remarkable story is the fate of Franz Ferdinand and Sophie Choteks two children who had tragic but ultimately very noble, indeed exemplary, lives and are in many ways the forgotten first victims of the 14-18 War. Love your series.
Please listen to your voice over work and then listen to other content creators.
You need to add personality, energy and vocal interest…
Great info… the rest is hard to listen to your whisper
Thanks for your comment! I‘m quite new still and figuring things out. Definitely will work on some things and improve in my upcoming videos!
I think.king Charles looks,a lot like them..
Now nobody is royal anymore....Ann. married not aristokrat....prince Edward. Also. Not aristokrat....Harry. not Aristokrat.....KING CHARLES...i guess she was...a little. Lady Diana. Was aristokrat....and william also did not marry an aristokrat...little blue blood left. Oh Andrew. Also did not find an aristokrat.....
Yes, they look a lot alike.
Well, most aristocrates were commoners one day
How sad

And I thought I was ugly
