This is so hard to watch! So many people crowding the horse and guard, everyone of these tourists are ignorant. For those who are in charge please stop allowing this.
Ive mentioned this on numerous channels before, about using a rope barrier as a deterrent (someone else has also mentioned this in todays post) . This is to protect both the guardsmen and their beautiful horses and also the members of the public !! THESE OFFICERS ARE ON DUTY!! But I doubt they'll change (the tourists) It's not rocket science, these people are allowed to get way too close. It feels like it will only change when something awful happens! And what a shame that it'll be. This should also be used in the courtyard, because for whatever reason, tourists think its OK, just ignore the soldiers and the armed police when they tell them to move out of the way. I've noticed that sometimes the officers barely get turned around before they clammer around the horses again! Would this be managed in a different way by other countries, I think so? The rules would possibly be managed in a more forceful way (this is my opinion only) Take care everyone Hugs and stuff 🤗
The guard looks very uncomfortable with all the tourists around and so many of them crowding the horse. Bravo to who ever it was that told them not to touch the reins or the horse.
I can totally understand the children wanting to touch the horse, but the adults?.. As an American, why wouldn't I just stride right to a Marine guarding the White House, and start fondling his jigglies, while I'm at it?! If I was a tourist in London, I'm not gonna' touch the King's horse! It's a danger to the soldier, the animal, and the people around... Plus, it's disrespectful to that soldier, and his mount
I’ve posted this on another video. They do this for the guards in the quad. ‘I think it’s time to paint a ‘DO NOT CROSS’ line on the sidewalk around the guard and horse. Enough of a buffer to keep tourists at a distance. The guard and horse are on duty, it’s not a petting zoo. Hopefully, help prevent this kind of idiocy, but, still allow people to be close enough for a picture. If people can’t understand that then off to the dungeons! 😅’
The “sidewalk” is a well-used public footpath and not MOD property. Right now, tourists are allowed to touch the horses at their own risk as stated in government tourist brochures. Keeping visitors from touching the horses probably requires a change in MOD policy. If you’re a UK taxpayer, contact your MP.
I don’t understand people letting their children stand so close to the horse by themselves. They sure don’t understand what horses are capable of in a short period of time. So disturbing.
You see children made to wear safety helmets all the time. They wear them on scooters, etc. Why don't these parents realise the dangers of a large horse at close quarters? A complete mystery to me. Very unfair to the guards who are on duty.
I don’t understand why that lady had to cut in front of that little girl ?????? don’t people have any curiosity anymore ????? That poor baby is mobbed by kids and idiots…… the horse and guard are so patient 😱🤩
