Just another winter day in North Idaho! Temperature is predicted to hit negative 44 degrees. With weather like that it’s a dangerous game to keep animals alive. Today we’re checking on them throughout this time to make sure they’re surviving.
Highland cows are well suited for cold weather with their long hair, but it’s important to keep them fed so they continue to produce heat.

Tell them mom and dad sent you!!😂😂
This is beautiful Chad , weather and all . The whole four legged family are looking happy and thankful , they come right up behind ya to say hello .
God is good my brother , keeping y'all in prayer . Looking forward to seeing your daughters new channel .
Thank you Lord for these folks being a part of our lives .
Love the crunching snow! I miss that. I grew up in Northern Minnesota. Had lots of snow and COLD Temps. Most winters growing up the high temps in Jan thru to early March were in the high single digits below zero with the lows in the high -20⁰s to low -30⁰s. I recall a time the thermometer that had the lowest number on it was -40⁰ but the mercury in the thermometer wouldn't come up out of the bulb. Dad estimated the temp was somewhere around -45⁰ to -50⁰.
Living in central Missouri I do miss the snow but not the 20⁰ to 30⁰ below zero temperatures.
I’m betting you had harsher weather up there. We don’t usually get negative temps
Happy new year Chad and Shelby and your beautiful kids
Man! It's so beautiful up there!
The animals look good in all the cold and snow as you seen to be doing Chad.👍
Good to see.
We've been in the single digits a few days and have more snow than previous years here in Eastern Washington BUT NOT as much as what your family is dealing with.
Thinking possibly of getting some land in the north of Idaho maybe or Washington. If we can find some good areas for recreational land up in the trees.
Stay Safe and Healthy out there. 👍🇺🇸
I’d suggest getting out of Wa ASAP

Yah, I get what your saying. I'm not able to make anything happen yet BUT I'm sure looking into the possibilities Soon. Be safe out there and
Happy New Year!! 👍🇺🇸
I subbed to their new channel. Believe me I understand the work it takes to build a channel.
Haha it can be a pain
Thanks for taking us along on your bitter cold chores. I’m proud to say that I was one of the girl first subscribers, really the content your channel and the girls channel bring. Happy New Year!

I just went over and subscribed to there amazing channel congratulations Happy new Years to you and your Beautiful Family we had -35 here in Cleveland Ohio but we definitely didn't get the snow like you we received the ice Prayers to you and the farm
That’s cold for sure!
All good here, we have a whole house backup generator. It’s like the best insurance I’ve ever purchased. You don’t always use it but when you need it, it’s there automatically.
Glad you and your family are doing good with the weather as well as all the animals. I am in Southern Idaho and glad our snow is gone now and warming up a little. But it will be back soon.
Our area looked like that the other few days..
I MET YOU. WE ARE GETTING OLD AND BEARD GREY. HAHA! GOOD TO SEE THE PROGRESS!
Thanks for the support!
Yep its not for the weakat heart. Been living off grid in northern Maine for almost 5yrs. We have horses & small livestock. You can get the horses blankets. We are the same way we worry about our neighbors who are on the grid. We have our horses for others means of transportation if our vehicle dont run. Never a day off when you have animals
Those rescue horses can toot up a storm I guess! 🤣
Good for warmth too? 🤣
Haha
Hi Chad, all the animals look great and I've already been promoting the girls channel on my lives. And will continue to do so. I've got their six!! Hiya Shelby 💜🙋♀️
You’re the best! Thank you Lilah

Honestly I liked the video until I found out your animals don't have a barn in that climate. Nice videos though; but that's going to be gnawing away at me like the bitterly freezing cold gnaws away at your BARN animals. Good DAY sir !🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!🧊!!!
Cows aren’t housed in barns…
