Hi Marieka, what do you use for Australian History for your older son in grade 7/8? Or anything you suggest?

This year we just finished off his year 6 workbook from last year so I have not used anything for the high school years yet. My friend Kylie over on her youtube channel has a video on different Australian History books that you might find helpful

@@Mariekalake Hi Marieka, I have just found your channel yesterday...thank goodness! We have a super sensitive child going into year 7 next year who struggles with anxiety & ocd particularly when experiencing too much pressure or external stimulation. We are starting to worry that he won't cope with a much bigger school & much bigger workload & pressure. From your experience of being a teacher in the mainstream school system & homeschool, do you have any advice or thoughts on kids in the same situation. I'm starting to think we may be crazy if we don't homeschool.

@@ren8240 When you move into high school there is a lot more homework and assessments and assignments to complete and it can be overwhelming. As they move through to the upper grades of high school there are also exams to study for and sit. Sometimes it is so hard to know what to do and you will just have to go with your gut instincts. You know your child the best and what is best for them so just trust your judgement. The beauty of homeschool is that they will still learn these skills just at a pace that suits them and with less pressure. You can still teach them the skills of completing assignments with deadlines and how to study for exams and sit exams just in a way that suits their individual needs
