More information on Russian TV: There is a 20 "public" TV channels which broadcast in 2 digital multiplexed channels (DVB-T2 system). In 2019 analog transmitters of those channels were shut down. But other transmitters for channels that didn't get slot on DTV were allowed to keep broadcasting. This is mostly regional channels and some other minor federal channels, like Yu or Che. I also want to note that under a Russian law it's not allowed to show ads on a paid TV channel. To bypass this, some channels are broadcast in distant small towns so their owners can claim that those channels are free, thus they can show ads. P. S. Analog cable TV is still around btw.
What a splendid ATV catch you encountered my friend :) It is nice to see that within the SpE season of 2023, ATV is still alive on VHF Band I. Thanks for sharing and keep it up buddy 73!
Fascinating. What is the propagation mode for analogue satellite DX? Multi hop E skip? F Layer? I had no Idea this was possible or that satellite analogue still existed.
@@alexlawler9515 No hop involved, just direct reception from a satellite using a (big) satellite dish when its position on geostationary orbit is visible (above horizon) from your location and the transmission footprint strong enough, but this is an another topic, terrestial vs. satellite tv.
We also got analog tv in Romania, with even some new tv channels owned by the TV State company popping up on analog, even if the analog channels were supposed to shut down a few years ago
This is a Russian channel "Yu" (Ю), who broadcasting some сrарру tv-shows from Ukraine and Russia . He is still broadcast on analogue TV Also, signal aired from Saratov Oblast
@@koekone youtu be/ndYregM659o also, video with analogue tv in saratov oblast in saratov oblast on the analogue broadcasting only 2 channels, "Yu" and "Solntze" (Sun, Солнце (former "Disney Channel"))
Earlier I actually thought I saw "40" at 0:11 when I looked from distance, but it seems very different in every frame. Also are they actually sending the analog version in full screen 16:9? This would make the logo seem higher in that 4:3 screen.
Analog TV still exists in both Russia and Ukraine. In my location, ch.8 broadcasts both an ahalog channel and a digital multiplex.

Can I receive tv signal with airspy network server
Still exists in Brazil on 70W in C band. I caught it from the UK a few months ago (video on my channel)
That is nice! Unfortunately the 70W satellite position is below horizon in my QTH, but great that analogue satellite tv still exist too 👍

@@alexlawler9515 Actually, tropo MIGHT be possible if the footprint is horizon limited. But chances are the signal would be rather unstable.
70W or 70E? I guess it would be 70E from the US which is unfortunately below the horizon
We still use analog TV anyway, because my country never shut it down (yet).
Great reception. I only wish that some analogue TV still existed here in Australia.

Kullandığınız anten nasıl bir şey? O mesafeden o yayını yansıma ile bile tutturmak mucize.
WHY IS THE AUDIO SO CRISPY
that's insane
We have analog tv in Romania
Awesome stuff.
Analog is still exist on Turkey
For me, it looks like YuTV (Ю)
Yes, it is YuTV, thank you for confirming :-)
What about 2024?
I know. It's Первый Канал Евразия(First Channel Eurasia)
Analogue tv still exists in Bangladesh.
What are you using to view analog tv on computers? Does it require any cables or anything?
Hello, this was received using AirSpy-Mini USB SDR dongle. And yes, you need an antenna for the VHF-1 band.
@@koekone Probably a really dumb question but is there a website that simulates analog or would that be impossible/illegal?
@@matty6598 I do not know of anything like that being online.
I have seen plug in cards(modules) for PC`s on eBay.
I was about to buy one for my own analog transmisions.
