3:53 Freaking Aquaman has a shower over his head. Got to keep him moist
centpushups get him moist is to make the ladies moist and the floors sticky
I'm so sexy I have to carry 'Caution: Wet Floor' signs with me everywhere I go.
It says it's for him to be able to breath at least once every hour. Later they discarded that and made him just being able to breath in both mediums.
George Miller was going to direct?...dam that writers strike
Ginston that would have been something different
At least we got mad max but man that’s such a bummer
But the cast is so much better now
Ta Fefe that is true
That strike killed a potential Justice League film and Heroes...
George Miller's Justice League..... fuck.....
Umbrella Man that would’ve been epic af
Indeed, that would have been epic.
had a similar thought! The stunts would have been hard core!
Nicole Tunis bones broken, lives lost, but gd it would've looked amazing
Umbrella Man That would have been a better film than what we got.
I'd take Starro over Steppenwolf any day of the week...
or Despero or the Injustice Gang.
they could have gone with Morrison's Hyperclan or done a proper Rock of Ages story
TheImperfect don’t be silly. Geoff Johns is helping spearhead the DCEU which means we’ll only be getting his subpar justice league stories
Nikolas Mokalis, I'm sorry, you're right :D stupid me just keeps dreaming and then walking against walls made of exec decisions :D
uncle of darkseid, the most powerful and most evil villain in all of DC lore vs space starfish? lets be honest, everyones bitching about justice league now, imagine if starro was the bad guy? everyone would complain more then now XD
@@fuckoffannoyingutube got it now
You should do a 7 things about Austin Powers!
You know when you said, "7 Things You Didn't Know About Crossroads..." I swear, for a split second, I perked up because I thought you were talking about the excellent movie with Ralph Macchio. You then followed up with "15th anniversary" and I thought, "wait a minute. Crossroads is older than..." and then cut to a clip with Britney, Zoe and Taryn. I quietly uttered, "ooohh..." and slowly sank back into my chair.
hahahaha yeah I heard Crossroads and my mind instantly cut to Ralph Macchio!
I loved the Macchio Crossroads too!
That "I'm rich" comment is almost as good as in Justice League War when GL asked Batman "You're not just some guy in a bat costume are you?" and Batman just smiled back
BladeWinters I actually think those are two great quotes to compare how the “I’m Rich comment” ISNT good like the quote from war. Bruce isn’t the braggadocios type, that’s tony stark and that line is more akin to the “genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” line from the avengers. “Brevity is the soul of wit”, and Batman not even having to brag about his abilities or prowess but instead express it through subtle non-verbal communication is way more of a Bruce Wayne, Batman thing.
Makes sense, now I wish Live-Action Batman was like that, why is the story quality between Animated and the current Live-Action Movies so drastically different (well, not counting Wonder Woman), I mean I actually liked the animated Suicide Squad movie.
My favorite bat quote is: "I'm not wearing hockey pants".
Rafael Alódio may favorite Batman quote "What?"
There other funny quote in JL. I recommend it mostly on the characters interaction with each other. It falls kinda flat on who they fight but other than that it is funny, dramatic and entertaining. Just know it's not avengers or big and epic. It's a good super hero movie. I say 2nd best next to Wonder woman.
if you're all looking for funny Bat man moments may I suggest justice league dark the animated movie. Batmans reaction to all the mystical shit going on around him never gets old
Harkening back to the George Miller thing: I think one problem DC's had with their films (with all due respect) is that they keep using Zack Snyder to make almost all of them:
One of the reasons I liked many of the lead-up films to the Avengers was that they were all kind of unique in style (not so much in plot though): because they all had different directors. They would've gotten kind of tiresome if Joss Whedon did every single film, nothing would feel fresh and characters would end up feeling less unique.
Even then, on the rare occasions when DC's had directors other than Zack Snyder; they're not always well-known or very experienced (at least not After Man of Steel was made).
Which wouldn't be that much of a problem (as problematic as it sounds): Except they all seem like they're being forced to copy Zack Snyder on some level, which won't work because:
A) Why have someone try to Copy Snyder when you already have Snyder, who can do it better?
And B) Any raw talent that director had is wasted as they are unable to apply their own individual artistic style.
Meanwhile, Marvel is still getting different directors for each film, looking towards those who are already big names like Jon Favreau, Kenneth Brannagh, Edgar Wright (even though he didn't end up working with them), Taika Waititi and many more.
They just need to step outside of their comfort zone a little, but with a whole foot, not a toe. It may be a little late for them to have Miller's Justice League: but definitely try to get him back for a different film and give him creative freedom.
Also they need to think about their casting choices a bit better; I think Ben Affleck did pretty good as Batman, Gal Gadot did really good as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavil was a great Superman and Margot Robbie was a great Harley Quinn (and other people have had vastly different opinions about these four) but...
...Jared Leto isn't the Joker, as much as I love the stud, because I know he can act but something was off there.
More to the point: giving him tatts and grilles just deviated from his essence: the Joker is a homicidal clown, not an Instagram gangster.
I'm all for different adaptations and I appreciate them trying new things; but don't kowtow to big trends, if you don't completely understand the characters yet: don't make feature-length films about them.
I mean: I don't remember Leto's Joker even making a single Joke.
Sorry, I know people work hard on these films, that's just my two cents.
I remember first hearing about them making a Justice League movie and was SO EXCITED and now ten years later its finally here!!! #teamjustice
I mean, you know, an episode on Ocean's Eleven would be nice
1947 Human Torch is completely different from 1961 human torch and the former has entered the Public Domain.
THANK YOU! Original Human Torch was an Android. This channel needs to read MARVELS by Kurt Busiek for a quick history lesson.
The JLA / Avengers book is worth it for all the extras but you can still find the original 4 issues for a LOT less than the hardcover edition. Also, Gardner Fox was a creator of BOTH the Society and the League. Boom! Bonus thing!
OH, I wish they let George Perez finish that book. Some of those story boards look great!
I️ learned at least two things in this video, and I️ consider myself knowledgeable about comics. Well done, guys.
Starro should've been the movies villain, he's actually really powerful. When the Avengers faced him they got wrecked during the Dc Marvel crossover.
I want to see 7 Things You Didn't Know About Crossroads (the Ralph Macchio and Steve Vai 1986 blues film)!
I really hope the movie doesn't disappoint, I just want my Flash movie. That is it WB, keep making them until my Flash movie.
I want a flash movie but not this actor or outfit.
Oh I disagree, Ezra is a fantastic actor and I think is perfect for Barry. I also like this outfit because it fits the universe the movie it taking place in.
He is so annoying and none of his "jokes" are funny. and I don't like the outfit because it's to strapped together and crappy looking.
Before The Credits Hope you know there is a flash movie inbound (Kinda). If you look up the flash actor on IMDb. You'll see he has a listed movie named "Flashpoint".
I know a Flash movie is in the works ( :) ) however if this movie bombs (which it sounds like it wont) they could easily cancel the Flash movie.
I wish the flash would
Be better than the flash they have I love the suit and also I liked Martian Man Hunter than cyborg. Cyborg is fit for the teen titans
BOOYAH!
No Starro!? Blasphemy!
Rodney Roque it would’ve been so much better with Starro...
I want to see 7 things wrong with Crossroads...
Ryan Spees Top 10 Anime Mashups
Lame? Oh c'mon! Those Stan Lee cameos are hilarious.
Crossroads? Ain't that the movie with Ralph Maachio going cross country to learn blues guitar?
CoolTrainer: VaultBoy-39 And that Paganini showdown with Steve Vai!
I've always been more of a Marvel fangirl (with a substantial comics collection of both Marvel and DC - and even the late Image Comics - started in 92'), but I really want this movie to be good. DC's legacy is massive and I want this team of characters to be introduced to the modern cinematic medium in a respectful and entertaining way.
Justice League it's out tomorrow here in Brazil. Oooyah
I think this movie will be good as it seems DC have learnt from their previous mistakes given Wonder Woman was amazeballs. Geoff John's involvement will hopefully make sure the movie is good and I hope it is cause I'm excited for it. Let's hope that the year without bad comic book movies will continue.
You poor poor man… if only you knew what would be coming…
Correction - Martin Goodman was the publisher of Timely Comics (predecessor of Marvel). Goodman had a prior successful business relationship with Jack Kirby. Lucky for Goodman, Kirby was available to create a team book for Goodman that was based on characters that Timely/Marvel owned - with the exception of "the Thing" which Kirby kinda just came up on his own. Stan Lee "helped" but he was pretty young at the time and inexperienced. Goodman was training Lee to take over the family business (or so I am told). Bam. Many "things" only a few really really good comic book historians know (sources: The Art of Jack Kirby/Wyman, Kirby: King of Comics/Evanier).
You guys have tons of subscribers now (2.6 million!). Congratulations! I remember about a year ago you released a video saying that the channel was going to be slowly phased out. That doesn't seem to be happening anymore, thankfully. Are you planning on ramping back up again with staff and content? I heard Michael Truly in one of your videos recently.
Did you guys hear about the not so thinly veiled review of JL? Its a series of tweets that followed a pre screening. He uses a fish sandwich as a metaphor, so he doesn't get in trouble for violating the embargo.
Basically, he really enjoyed the sandwich for the most part, and even though it was prepared by 2 different chefs, their contrasting styles worked well together. Apparently, the fish was a bit underwhelming, but it does sound like the dark meat was the best he's seen in quite a while, and the wonder-bread definitely seemed to be a highlight. He also says that the icebOrg lettuce turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
I always knew DC/WB would be in trouble letting Snyder direct their movies. Sucker Punch and Watchmen were a dead give away. Snyder's film style is like a bunch of different "moments" edited together rather than telling a story. But that's just my opinion. It's time for actual story tellers to have a bash at DC movies.
2:53 Also taken for a tiny villain of a major Japanese comic Manga, Bleach
A lot of the things mentioned made me appreciate more Watchmen
Little did they know justice league would be the single worst superhero movie ever
The big question you have to ask yourself: is Khal Drogo gonna be a better aquaman than Vincent Chase???
They were WAAAYYYY too optimistic above the Justice League movie. Grant it, this is hindsight. But man... I can hear their disappointment at what they actually got from that movie even to this day!
I never thought I would live in a world where not a single person talked, online, offline or otherwise, is excited for Justice League.
I don't know anything about any of this.
Well, now you know 7 things and a few bonus things!
The JLAvengers mini by Kurt Busiek is AWESOME
What's cross what ?
Fact Check: The Avengers wasn't actually created because of JLA. The story goes that the printers were having trouble properly rendering Daredevil's red and yellow OG costume in his new comic book, forcing the issue to be delayed. [Marvel's] publisher, Martin Goodman, was faced with an empty book entry that week, which would result in zero sales/income, and asked Stan Lee to try to come up with a solution. Lee, not wanting to risk another printer issue (OG Hulk design was even worse), decided to just use already established characters who didn't have their own book (meaning not Spider-Man, or Fantastic Four), which the printers would already know how to color-render. Thus the Avengers was born.
damn I thought they would do a "Creepshow" 7 things you (probably) didn't know about for its 35 anniversary
I got something thatll blow your mind, a comic about lobo infected by the carnage symbiote or venom
2:12 - Not according to Julie Schwartz, the editor at DC at the time. According to Schwartz (see DC Comics Secret Origin documentary), he hated the word ‘society’. He said it sounded like an old ladies group. ‘League’, to Schwartz, sounded more heroic, something the readers would want to part of. So he changed it.
I loved Man of Steel, Batman v Superman is one of my favorite movies, and I'm not worried about Justice League although I do expect some issues with pacing due to studio insistence on a two hour runtime.
So there, I'm actually excited for Justice League and like Zack Snyder's work, do with me what you will comments section.
For number 2, the reason they changed it was because they had 2 good selling characters: Superman and Batman, the rest of the characters were not selling at all at the time. So the 2 all stars were meant to boost the popularity of the 5 nobodies. And it worked.
Shut up about the Star Lee cameos! Love those!
Dc is a better comic series but marvel is better at movies, except for dark knight
That wasnt DC who helmed it and who you should give credit to, that was all Nolan.
DC is better in pretty much everything except live action movies.
I'm not a fan of their movies, or really their books (aside from Spider-Man, Deadpool, Daredevil, X-Men, and The Punisher) so I'm going to have to disagree MoS was meh, BvS was good (not great had many many problems but still good), SS was awful, and WW was amazing.
Debatable
Green Arrow it's ok to come out of the closet, we know you want to.
Out of the 17+ live action Marvel/DC TV shows I think most of the DC ones are better, even the 'campy' The CW ones.
But out of all the Marvel and DC films so far, Marvel are undisputedly the best.
If Marvel films are 'gay', then what does that make 'Arrow' then Green Arrow?
Martian Manhunter was my favorite character as a kid when I watched the animated series from the 90s. I’d love to see him on the big screen
0:52 Bat spittle!
Crossroads being 15 years ago make feel old!!
This is your one chance, DC. Your one chance left. Make a good Justice League movie or you get your ass kicked by a Thor movie this season. A Thor movie. A fucking Thor movie. You got Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman team up, so don't you let yourself be kicked around by a standalone Thor movie. If even the non-team up marvel movies can kick your ass, that's it, no point in going forward, might as well burn the whole DCMU thing to the ground. So you better not dissapoint this friday. You better not. God dammit, DC, I warned ya.
Jessica Biel as Wonder Woman was always my first choice... and a personal fantasy. Still, I think George Miller could have pulled it off in a unique way. He's got a pretty broad ranging background of successful movies.
OF COURSE I know all those. Except for that last one. Toe-Cutter Hunter? I'm in.
Just want to point out The Human Torch from the All Winners team is not the same as Jonny Storm from the Fantastic 4. Its the orginal Human Torch (Johnny is the second) who is an android.
"Excited for Justice League" is a strong choice of words. Cautiously optimistic maybe? Don't get me wrong, I'm a bridge fan. Love Marvel, love DC. Especially love DCs animated expanded universe....DCAEU? Too many letters. Point is, DC doesn't have the strongest record with live action adaptations. Wonder Woman was good. But that's about it in the last 15+ years. I'm hopeful. I really want it to be good. I'm just not holding my breath on it.
It wasn’t Justice League Or the society of justice it was the doom patrol from DC Comics that came out first
"What are your super powers again?"
"I'm an awful actor, who against all odds, keeps getting work"
Is it just me, or when you look at that Justice League poster you start imagining Batman singing "Mamma... I just killed a man... 🎶"
Late Sleeper I see what you mean, but if you look up Alex Ross, you’ll find his superhero paintings that inspired the poster composition and lighting
With the current horror trend, I'd actually love to see a JL movie where they fight Starro. They'd definitely make him a creepy mind controlling \ slime monster thing like *insert any of the freaky film creatures you can think of here*. It would be like superhero horror film and that sounds downright fantastic. I think they might do that since DC is dark like that.
They would probably give him a long scientific name like Stalringrenlero and they would just abbreviate it to Starro.
Brain controlling starfish?! Like in that Batman Beyond ep where he saves the future Justice League?!?! Holy s**t! I didn't even know that was a callback 😮😮😮😁👍
+Cinefix I love these videos but i want to see the old ones like homemade movie trailers & Costume Squad!
Had DCEU started relatively closer to when MCU was at Phase One, I would have loved a JL and Avengers cinematic crossover. That would have been the cinematic peak of this genre, but I believe it is all good that everything is as it is now. Hoping JL is a success!
can't wait for justice league🙉🙊
I hear the new batman movie has some kid who runs fast, a robot-dude, a guy who talks to fish and a new love interest for batman. 'Cause batman gets all the bitches, amirite??
thanks Cinefix for doing a video on my birthday
I’d still prefer Superfriends.
Please do birds of prey & the suicide squad
If they just made bvs a solo batman film, and replaced suicide squad with a flash film, the justice league would be way more hyped and better
You should make the justice league homemade movies and do batman aquaman cyborg and the flash costume from costume squad
WTF fans split between marvel and dc. I don't give a shit i just want good movies.
DCEU for the win. JL makes superhero movies turn7 to the next level
Surprised you talked about Marvel as much as you did but not mention that Marvel basically copied the Justice League under the group name "Squadron Supreme" back in 1971 to allow Avengers to legally battle the Justice League. Squadron Supreme had a 12 issue mini-series run in 1985 that basically tells the story DC now is telling in it's Injustice series. Also, there was a Marvel MAX variant titled "Supreme Power" penned by J. Michael Straczynski of Babylon 5 fame (and also has writer credit on the first Thor movie). Supreme Power has stronger parallels to the modern take on the Justice League.
NukeMarine Holy crap I never realized the similarities between the Squadron Supreme storylines and that of Injustice. Hmmm.
Well said. Man I LOVED that mini series. The first run of which actually had the ashes of one of the creators mixed into the print ink!(boom! Bonus thing...)
NukeMarine - Fuck, if you're gonna start poiting fingers at who copied who let's see Batman is super inspired by the villain from The Bat Whispers, the Joker is a carbon copy of the villain from The Man Who Laughs, Green Arrow is just Robin Hood, there's this strikingly similar Superman like character named Hugo Danner (or hell even greek mithology characters)... just don't even start that conversation, nearly every single Superhero is a copy or at least heavily inspired by something else, might as well give up on the entire genre
Chio Chan, not exactly sure why you're getting riled up. This is pretty well known for those that followed that particular storyline. It allowed for the equivalent of a crossover without all the headaches dealing where neither comic company would want their title character to lose. Squadron Supreme allowed for that.
Yes, we know Superman is based in no small part on Moses and that Batman is based on Zorro. Hell, throw in Greek gods for a number of them. That's not an insult to point it out.
The Human Torch in the All-Winners Squad is not the one you think it is. This is the original android Human Torch, Jim Hammond.
Johnny Storm, the Human Torch from the Fantastic 4, is a different guy.
Most anticipated? Most anticipated to fail miserably you mean.
"His superpower apart from asexual reproduction"- Am I the only one who cracked up at this part? 😂
Megan Gale as Wonder Woman would have been sooo perfect
Honestly I was 10 times as excited for a CB movie like Logan that Justice League.
Nice Starro reference, especially given the recent Suicide Squad trailer.
DID YOU THAT GUARDIANS COVER! DID IT HAVE A TREE OR A RACOON NO! DID IT LOOK LIKE A COMEDY NO! Fuck what marvel did to the guardians
This was gold
Aqua man does not need to shower cuz he lives under water 🙄
Batman hates superman in bvs
The remark of Flash not getting cut isn't accurate. Original group had Jay Garrick as the original Flash, the revised group had Barry Allen, completely different person. Similar issue with the Human Torches but many others pointed that out already.
I would rather have the original justice league plans with Armie Hammer being Batman because that cast sounded amazing!
So happy Jessica Beil passed on Wonder Woman.
Love her in the new stuff she's doing but she would've never been able to pull off Wonder Woman.
1:39... One-Punch Man before moving to Japan...
I've wanted a Justice League movie for my entire life... and now that one is just 3 days away, I find that I couldn't care less. Maybe they'll be able to take another crack at it down the road.
You're thinking Mad Max George Miller, but before Fury Road, it was Babe & Happy Feet phase George Miller. I think Justice League would've been Family Friendly George Miller.
IKMNification even better. A JL movie that everyone could like
DC tried to sell all their Major heroes to Marvel in the 80s but it got vetoed... imagine.
I am so burnt out on superhero movies I give exactly no fucks about Justice league.
Now I want you to do things we didn't know about Crossroads.
Immortent Toe should still be Martian Man Hunter!
It would be funny to have a serious Justice League movie with that goofy 50's style: all heroes are scrawny to skinny average guys in goofy-colored costumes with 50's underwear on top. I wonder what those writers and illustrators, or their readers for that matter, would say if they saw modern comic issues with our present day art style xD
1:39 saitama? is that you?
yo staro the conqueror is now in the suicide squad
can't wait to see Superman & GreenLantern!
#JLfoLife!
Can't wait to see Justice League
Will we ever be getting Civil War vs Captain America: Civil War - What's The Difference?
Justice league must've done a bad job with the starfish alien cuz suicide squad finished it off relatively easy
Justice League do not kill, suicide Squad do, that is probobly why it was easy fore them.
@@eventyraren ohh I see that's why it came back
First Tuccipalooza, now 7 things you didn't know about Crossroads?!?
When will the teasing end?
"the star spangled kid? Who tf is that?!" 😂😂😂
I heard Star Sprangled Kid was Kevin Spacey's favorite hero
I hope there’s a bit where the flash and superman race
If they had Gaven the first justice league movie with the star fish it would of been a success.
After the absolute abomination that was Suicide Squad which was after the awful Batman vs Superman. I am not even gonna go the cinema when the Justice League shit is on
