I followed this tutorial, but what I did differently is copy and paste the stokes, I went into edit mode and edited the stokes to make a different facial expression so I don't have to draw new strokes, then I went back to grease pencil mode and clicked on grease pencil > Interpolate sequence and it worked perfectly, the facial expressions changed and the face moved (I had the grease pencil face follow the 3D character model's face). I'm using Blender version 3.0.1 and helping an animation project for a friend of mine. Thank you for this fast tutorial!
wow, so it can interpolate copied frame that edited on the next keyframe. it's even more advanced than synfig vector keyframe and opentoonz auto inbetween (vector)
@@RetroFan2.0 Sure, I'll see if I can make a video tutorial, I'll do my best. But it's basically copy/paste a keyframe and I adjusted the stroke so I can move the eyes, eyebrows, make the character blink, etc. The only thing I'd redraw is the mouth if there are sound for lip syncing. I tried moving the strokes and interpolate but the mouth strokes would not work for me, so I just redraw mouth strokes. Good thing is if I make a mistake on the mouth, I can move the points and adjust the stroke itself instead of redrawing the mouth.
@@desainekosjaya5745 That's awesome that it's more advanced than Synfig and Opentoonz. I'm glad it worked out for me. Thanks to this technique I was able to speed up the grease pencil animation process and help my friend finish his animation before the deadline.
As-salāmu‘alaikum, I thank you for the knowledge. May I imitate and modify this method for commercial purposes?? without including your name / youtube name??
it does the same thing BUT in its current state it takes so much longer to setup . and from my experiment it can become very confusing for complex stuff due to lack of simplicity . live2D is made for this type of animation and made for this reason only . it does it better and easier at this stage but the potential is huge for grease pencil
hello can someone help me out here I'm trying to do a walk cycle animation but i just can't seem to get the motion to loop as a continuing cycle anybody knows how to do this
You can maybe either copy the frames of the walking cycle multiple times or there is another way with the modifier Time offset. I saw this from the artist Dedouze. He covers it in his 2d/3d animation tutorial in GP Part 2 at 5:50 of the video( ua-cam.com/video/mhcNPYxPqhw/v-deo.html ).
lookup blender tutorials on " how to save animation as action " and " how to loop animation in NLA editor " any 3D tutorial should apply not just grease pencil tutorial
But those red labels aren't displayed for us, right? How do we know which line to draw next? Do we have to keep track? Has great results though. Thanks
That upbeat music really helps when dealing with stressful blender things
I can imagine animation projects being easy and fast

Would you by chance have a tutorial on how to do that 😮 ???

@@paolaanimator can i watch your friend animation?
This will animate things so much faster, Thanks!
As a hand drawn animator, it would take me several hours (if not a day) to generate all those in-betweens.
This is amazing! Thanks for making this video in english!
Thank you so much for this!!
Thank you! Love and blessings.
Thank you, very useful !
RIGHT TO THE POINT HECK YES
Ty for sharing, +subbed!
I cannot find the interpolation option tab that you pressed any idea how to access it
AAAH! That's amazing!
DUDE I HAVEN'T THIS BUTTON
Wow 💓 so cool!
a legend bro
That might be inspired like Disney Animation, I like that tutorial.
Mind-blowing
Wow super cool trick 👍
Now thats power
how to interpolate circular motion in blender 2d?
Oh, boy, so much more time can be saved
Cool!
Great cacani alternative
Más por favor, video completo
It's cool but will be much better if Blender will interpolate all strokes and fills.
Thx
YOU!!!!!!!! 😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Thanks!!!

I thank you for the knowledge.

You don’t need to. This is a feature of Blender (as far as I can see) therefore there is no copyright on the method
Could it work as a replacement for Live2D?
it does the same thing BUT in its current state it takes so much longer to setup . and from my experiment it can become very confusing for complex stuff due to lack of simplicity .

You no longer need to track the order of your strokes.
I don't have the menu interpolate

Yeah you just have to keep track in your mind
I imagine you could just do a couple of strokes at a time additively. Could even do it over a rough sketch with annotations if necessary.
Holy shit
WAIYTT WHAT!
Whaaaaaat!!!!! :cO
YES THANK YOU YES YES YES FIOWYSHODHX:
Great video, horrible music :D
