    Very enjoyable video. The fish fry looked delicious. Made my mouth water. That is a fine rife you have and very versatile. I have a skinning knife from the same company as yours. Mine is the swing blaze model and has been a very good knife for the 4 years I have had it. Good luck with the rest of your hunting season. Atb my friend

    Hello Martin back again.
    Tomorrow i have a day off so i am very curious to a new video from the norwegian woods.
    I know that you work or help out on a farm, but now the harvest and most of the work, mow grain, press staw bales, and so on,... must be over?!?
    I do live in a house on an old farm with girl friend, my daughter, two dogs, six cats, 38 horses and two cows.
    Kind regards from the Eifel (low mountain range of Germany near Belgium) . My home region is very natural too. Maybe you have time to gain an impression (Individual Translated). Take care and always health. Alexander
    PS: This summer it was too hot in germany for the farmers here, but quite enough food for the animals in winter time. But less vegetables for us. 40% less than last year.

    First let me say that I really enjoy your videos. They are always beautifully shot and both informative and entertaining to watch. I had a couple of questions after watching this video:
    1) What is the name of this sitting hammock? I am always challenged to find a comfortable place to sit in camp and many of the backpacking chairs or stools are too heavy. This hammock looks ideal!
    2) How do you clean and sanitize your cutting board, knife, pans, plates etc after preparing and cooking fish? This is the number one thing I have always wanted to know before taking such a trip myself.
    Thank you for your wonderful videos and sharing your knowledge and environment with all of us :)

    • @NorwegianWoods
      @NorwegianWoods  4 роки тому +2

      Thank you for stopping by my friend.
      For your first question, the hammock is from Eagle Products. It is a Norwegian company and I do have a lot of their stuff. I like the hammock as a chair, not so much for sleeping. I do have other hammocks that works a lot better for that.
      When it comes to cleaning my cooking gear I do some different stuff depending om what is available. Sometimes I use wet sand and water. That is good for scrubbing away on stainless steel or titanium stuff, but if tend scratch up wood and plastic. For that I like to use moss or grass. As I say it depends on what is available. In the wintertime snow works pretty good. If I have the time I like to use hot water for cleaning. It works a lot better for cleaning away fat and greasy stuff than cold water. Sometimes I also use paper tissues. If you really want to get your stuff clean you should bring a small container of dishwashing liquid and use hot water. Hope this helps :)
      - Martin

    It is good to see you post again Martin. I enjoyed the video; but I was saddened near the end for you to have to mention security for your tent and rifle. Your woods look so lightly traveled that I guess I had a naive conception of how remote and safe your Norwegian woods are. To now know that you have to deal with the ghouls of modern society is sort of depressing. Still, your woods are beautiful, and your fishing refreshing to watch. And I guess the vultures of human society exist everywhere. We adapt, eh?
