I watched a lot of baseball over a long course of time. I think Alomar was perhaps that greatest 2nd baseball of all time. He could do it all. Incredible fielder, incredible power, incredible speed, incredible average hitter. I don’t think any 2nd baseman comes close to him in reference to all around incredible attributes. His swings were so effortless. He had incredible range in the field. I think he’s the greatest 2nd basemen of all time.
Well you are right he is nobody comes close I studied his game for years and played second base and made plays like him just from watching him hands down best second baseman to play the game
The HR against Mesa was so sweet. All the public in Cleveland was literally turning their backs on him due to the Hirschbeck incident, but they quickly turned back around to witness that game winning homer. And of course, those same fans would later embrace him as an Indian.
Best 2nd basemen of the generation. Not even close. Was to 2nd base what Roberto Clemente was to Right Field. I know... That’s saying a lot. Graceful and explosive aggression.

Are you kidding me? One highlight of Robbie as a Jay. When he was a Jay he was the best baseball player in the world. And you’re so ignorant that you missed it. Carry on.
Watched Alomar become a superstar particularly his days as a Blue Jay, the highlights selected are mostly meh and don't do justice to how great he was.
this is it? Including 2 ground balls that were booted by the infielders. The ball hit too short was a generous call and a so-what play, and the one that bounced of the top of the second baseman's glove hardly looks like career highlight material. Maybe who made the vid was too lazy to look for impressive defensive plays or homers of importance.
I came here to see his plays as the most athletic 2nd baseman ever. You show 2, and a bunch of homeruns?! Every homerun highlight is the same, who cares. Show the crazy catches and spin throws... how did you mess this up?
@@esportshighlights2457 Because his highlights are mostly defensive masterclasses, any monkey can hit a homerun, no one could do what he could do on the defence side of the ball, especially at this time in the game. If you included his small ball abilities on the offensive side, i'd be less critical. His base running and hussle was off the charts, and so heads up. If home runs were inc, they should have been limited to game winners, big deal HR's, ect. @@ramonortiz3095 you're right. spitting on an umpire in front of millions of people is really nothing. he's just a great guy when he's not under pressure.
Exactly. There have been plenty of athletes over the years who have done great things both on and off the field. This piece of shit had a natural born talent to play the game of baseball exceptionally well…maybe better than a lot of others, as the creator of this video would have you believe, but to spit in the face of an umpire is absolutely reprehensible.
Stop saying he was the best 2nd baseman. He was a 5 tool player. Tommy Lasorda was asked “ who do you think is the best player, Bonds or Griffey”? Tommy looked them in the eye and said…. Neither. The best player in baseball plays up North. Alomar. This was when he was winning two World Series for the Jays. Sorry, well before he went to Baltimore. Continue your bullshit highlights of him on your team. Laugh.
What do you want people to say? Best second baseman of all time is quite the compliment. The best player ever? Because Tommy Lasorda said so? Clearly a hall of famer but he’s nowhere near the elite of the elite

Yeah hes one of the best he’s up there with Jackie and roger
I can't believe somebody made a Roberto Alomar career highlights video that was made up of 90% homerun footage.

Honus Wagner would have a been a fan of Robby Alomar....
Dude could have easily won 2 or 3 more World Series when he was on Cleveland and Baltimore.
Alomar or Javi Báez?
You cant compare Baez. Early in his career.
Alomar
Alomar of course
That’s a stupid ass question. Even if you were asking this after his top 5 mvp season
