Such a subtle but brilliantly brewing story/performances...years of dramatic tension...not screeched out in the packed pub after a two month anticlimax as in 2023 stories... Compelling and addictive to watch from the golden years...

1:08 Pauline’s got a point there. Michelle was only too happy to give Vicki away any time it suited her. “Can you look after Vicki for me, mum”? She took people for granted, big time! She expected a lot from her family but resented all the sacrifices she had to make. She hated how she didn’t have a bedroom of her own. She hated anytime Pauline and Lou took interest in her future (but I can understand her frustration there because they were a nightmare when Michelle was pregnant). But she always put herself first and threw a tantrum/pity party anytime anyone called her out on it. And her “draws” were so precious!
What Pauline is saying is wrong. Den has to play his own part as Vicki 's father. Fantastic acting by Wendy and Susan. They both worked well together creating this scene.
Incredible characters. And Wendy Richard and Susan Tully were always brilliant together
Full stop. The show was on fire for years with these characters.
Eastenders now is a shadow of what it was like with characters such as Dirty Den, Michelle and Pauline Fowler.
Everything has a shelf life and Eastenders should have finished more than ten years ago.
