Learn how to fell a tree using a 2-1 rope system and a standard scarf and quarter cut with wedges. Also climbing and pruning using SRT with a rope runner pro and echo top handle.
Each to their own with wedges, it's a very debatable subject. But if you are crap like me and you are going to hit the wedge... Then probably get plastic!
We have a few 395's all with different lengths, not sure what this one is... But there's less teeth to sharpen and it a bit better weighted with the short bar
@@Jackofalltrees Love your channel. I enjoy watching climbers from around the world, especially Australia. Im a climber in the US. You’re a great teacher. Keep up the good work my friend.
Oh he never responded lol. That’s called stump shot when the back cut is higher. Used if you think the tree might kick back at you. But makes it more difficult to get the tree to hinge over.
Beautiful demonstration…. On how to nail your steel wedge. 😂🤣😂😂 just teasing. Shit happens. Love the videos guys. Keep them coming!
Cuts pretty decent after kissing the metal wedge :-D
Nice fell. Great communication with the helpers as well.
Knew some would have noticed!
I thought I'd seen that but wasn't sure. Is that why plastic is more commonly used?

that looks a fairly short bar you have on the 395, what size are you running?

Back cut too high
Yeah maybe a bit high, how high would you recommend for that tree?

Ope.... knocked the corner off about 7 teeth.... 😅😅 a chainsaw is the best metal detector in my experience
...ya got me!
Alloy it will be fine. Wedge not so much 😢
