  • A meeting of the City of Binghamton’s Commission on Architecture and Urban Design (CAUD), which was established to prevent the deterioration of property belonging to the City or property in which any City funds are involved and is responsible for reviewing and approving any project which alters the exterior appearance of any designated Local Landmark historic building and all buildings within the boundaries of designed Historic Districts. The Commission is also responsible for determining the historic significance of buildings in the City of Binghamton.
The City of Binghamton is located in Central Upstate New York near the Pennsylvania border. It is the County Seat of Broome County, and is home to Binghamton University’s high-tech business incubator and University Downtown Center, which is home to the College of Community and Public Affairs. Also SUNY Broome’s state-of-the-art Culinary and Event Center is located in the site of the former public library.
The City features year-round events that draw thousands from around the region to our revitalized urban core. A monthly First Friday Art Walk brings visitors through downtown’s ever-expanding network of art galleries and often into the many new restaurants that have made Binghamton a food destination in recent years. Community members and visitors alike look forward to beloved annual events, such as the LUMA Projection Arts Festival, July Fest, Blues on the Bridge, Porchfest and the City’s famous St. Patrick's Parade Day.
