People saying cyrax is broken is crazy. It’s only been a couple of days. Once people get use to the setup into reset they’ll find ways to get out of it. This isn’t anything new with the character lol she’s always played the same.
Idk having double bombs for set up covers a lot of options

They need to stop nerfing and buff tf outta the roster. Sub Zero is a great example, not only is he bad, he doesn't even have a lot of options in gameplay to be interesting either. Stripped down fighters are lame af, people wanna have access to crazy fun tools and weird sh*t. Geras is my main, and even though he isn't very good I love playing him because he has so many strange tools.

All I'm saying is, everyone always wants nerfs rather than buffs. We want buffs, but always get nerfs instead. I agree with most of the stuff Tom Brady says about this game.
@@mikeestill1672 If a Kameo plays too broken, you balance it. It's really that simple. In case you didn't notice, they nerfed the OP kameos and buffed the weaker ones so there would be more viability to any Kameo pick
Cyrax seems insane but i feel like she can have a hard time actually get the hit to start the loops. She doesn't have any mix prebomb setup, but people are just getting hit by unfamiliarity more than anything. Both of her strings that have overhead in it (21 and 112) are full combo punishable, her overhead is reactable, and her low doesnt give her much. Her b3 mid is also kind of stubby and the second hit can be ducked. The string looks like a low but its not.. Now when she does get the hit though, she is broken- but i think she is going to kind of play like Kenshi where she has to win neutral to get the hit and then she gets really scary. I dont wanna see her nerfed just yet. I will say though, her F2 mid is slow but is a great shimmy and armor break tool.
As a cyrax main I approve. That’s why I like Stryker to cover me on unsafe or punishable moves to get the confirm or take the next turn. Now that you mention it, perfectly put she’s like kenshi

Ok if you skip ahead as soon as the combo starts, you can usually find honeybee hitting the floor for the next combo to start lol
Check out her frame data on the bombs… and remember if you trade with her foam, she gets a full combo. Sub doesn’t.
Correct. She can trade with Ice Ball and still combo Sub-Zero.

It’s been many people saying they tired of the rinse repeat combos that will take all your health. This is not competitive, this is just remembering combos.

I think they should bring back Hard knock downs and Tech roll ( NOT MB ROLL from mk11) hard knock down limits set ups off any hit. This will probably affect sindel, mileena, Kitana, and cyrax the most but it will universally nerf all character.

I really hope NRS does not nerf any of the new DLC characters. This looks like a lot of fun and very creative from the combos to the setups.

I anticipate Cyrax nerfs coming lol. This Cyrax feels like an amalgam of UMK3 Cyrax and MK9=MK1 Cyrax.😂 I'm not demanding nerfs btw just a guess as to the future for Cyrax with NRS future patches with the bomb cooldowns, how many you'll be able to toss but I guess time will tell.
I'm not all about the nerfs, but when you compare the things Noob or Sektor do that's super strong, some of these bomb setup loops seem just a bit OP. Like, let them happen, but maybe adjust the scaling a hair or the gravity with each bomb launch to sorta self-limit. But who knows, maybe it'll be like SF6 bison and it turns out that there's an obvious gap or something that'll get discovered in a week or so. Especially because she has a ton of cool stuff in her kit and this optimized stuff is boring to watch.
@@Jarrych83 Yeah for sure, I feel Sektor definitely has to work harder IMO as a Sektor main for combo damage, her air cancels are a pain in the butt and definitely take timing for extensions combined with kameos vs Cyrax here dropping a lot of bombs on the ground, it's more about consistent timing imo this game is easier to do ground combo set ups with kameos vs air ones.
Yeah true, Noob having the limitations with the shadows is a big change, though he has the beefiest damage of the 3 easily he still has to work a bit. Of the 3 IMO I see them like this.
Noob-Biggest Damage combos with some zoning tools.
Cyrax-Easily the biggest set up character with the bombs.
Sektor-All about the zoning, anti-zoning tactics, combos that won't be too nutty and only when you get an opportunity.

Only nerf I would give to cyrac is her throw extension having the same property as a real throw that she falls out of the trigger of the bomb so she can’t net the opponent

How do you stop an untechable grab that if you try to duck you get launched by the bomb? You can’t armor either because the grab and bomb are two hits that break all armor except Havik’s.
When the DLC dropped, I said Cyrex was the better of the 3. Looks like i was right 😅

Yeah Cyrax seems like one of those characters that was designed to already be solid without even considering kameo’s (just like Cage, Sindel, Peacemaker, Homelander) 😅
people need to remember that this aspect of the character may SEEM broken, give it a month, they built Cyrax in a way that everything else she has is balanced towards the bomb setups. If they nerf her I will be very surprised, it would just be unneccessary, just dont get hit, same can be said for so many characters.

@lulclip6236 if everyone is broken, then everybody is boring to play against. The reason its boring to play against broken characters is because one mistake could lose you the game, so you have to be extra defensive. Thats only gonna get worse if every character can hit you with a 100% combo

She’s doing what Reiko does, when the bomb is down, you pick between a shimmy into a combo, or a throw into a combo. Jump if you think they’re gonna throw into EX teleport to full combo punish.
I honestly hate nerfs but she needs a slight delay on how the bombs or a shorter foam trap but just SLIGHT

Spray foam lasts too long....and that one last bomb she lets off when the combos over, keeps her turn
its insane how people can watch this and complain about it getting nerfed in the future. the fact that you guys know its gonna get nerfed is proof enough that it NEEDS the nerfs. bee is insanely good, way better than most (if not all) people in the comments complaining about potential nerfs, and even he is having trouble dealing with it. i get that buffing characters is more "fun", but if characters are just buffed, then the game would turn into, like what bee said, "dont get touched". the fun should come from the unique and interesting ways each character plays. not from broken mechanics that can be abused for easy wins.
maybe someone will find a way or ways to get out of the loops and then it won’t need to be nerfed, the character just came out, gotta give it some time

@touka6589 both characters came out at the same time. Bee was popping off with insane combos, and his opponent was spamming bombs and net. Bee is usually pretty upbeat, even when he gets dominated, but you could tell by the end of the video he just wasnt having any fun.

@ziontea7045 bomb and net spam with the occasional armor. Do you actually think the developers wanted the character to be played like that? They just added all the other unique mechanics to her kit that nobody uses just for shits and giggles? Dud bombs, ex tracking helicopter bombs, wall jumps, ex teleport, ex net, all of these were added just to waste development time and money? Her intended playstyle is unique and fun, with a lot of interesting mindgames and setups, but it turns out the most "optimal" way to use her is just spamming default bombs. If the developers actually planned it that way, then maybe they needa spend a bit more time on character design.

These dlc characters are all equally incredible! It's really taking some time to get my muscle memory on cyrax though. Things will cool down. We don't want any further nerfs especially when cyrax is a very difficult character to learn.
Yes, we do want nerfs. Cyrax is ridiculous. It doesn't need to be extreme, but she does need some rounding out while others recieve buffs(cough cough Sub-Zero).
