Nice video! I like your attitude to just going and doing whatever you want. The reason I am fearful of travelling alone as a woman is because I have had some uncomfortable and creepy encounters with men sometimes on travels
Dear Sailor (I hope I pronounced your name correctly?!), thank you so much for this video! I have been dreaming for a long time to do a solo bike travel, now that I have seen your video it inspired me to just do it. I have traveled a lot by bike with my partner, but never alone. Maybe you would even make a video about solo bike traveling as a woman? This would be great:) Greetings from switzerland!
Hi Sailor, great van, and I want to say thanks for sharing the van setup with everyone. Could you tell me what brand the little fireplace is , and how much they cost ? I'm hoping to build a camper van too, so I'm trying to get as much information as possible. Kind regards, Neil.
Thank you for the comment 😊 the stove is from Cubic mini wood stoves and the price depends which accessories you choose so I recommend to find a best option for you. They have website: cubicminiwoodstoves.com/
surely all that glitters is not gold as they say in Italian ... but what you do is certainly very stimulating and courageous and it is called real life
Yes you're right. I don't find any reason for woman not to travel solo either. All the potential dangers on the way that you could possibly face are going to be equally dangerous and troublesome for the males as well when and if the shit really is about to hit the fan, as you speak. At least in a civilized modern western world this applies in my opinion... However, there could be some extra risks for the solo female traveller in a countries where position of women are not considered culturally equal. Of course you can go, but in these places I would still be extra cautious as a woman since if something really bad happens, your position as a woman is not going to be like you would expect it to be here in western countries. Otherwise, why not. I know many youtube channels run by the solo female travellers and now found also this one of yours. First of the kind from Finland. Your heating system is not that common in vans, but yet do clever and convinient if you just have access to wood. I also liked your way of electricity! If you run that stove around the clock in Finland, it's going to consume a lot of wood. How you have space to store all of that? Wood for burning is also quite expensive. At least here in Finland... Keeep up the interesting work and experiment! We here in a cousy and secured easy homes are following from fluffy and warm couches your magnificent adventures. 😊
Thank you for your comment. It is indeed different in different countries but also idea of travel alone itself shouldn’t be the case which stop you to do something that you really wanna do. I hear your good point. About the heating: in the north during the winter I burn wood whenever I’m in the car which is during the nights or if I cook something. Otherwise I stay outside and I don’t need heating in the car. I buy brickets and those lasts quite well when I burn them with less air. That works pretty well 😊
@@NomadsTrails ah, of course. That makes sense. Brickets and pellets are certainly good options as well and as you said in the video, if it takes just a 10-15 minutes to worm up the van, it's not that necessary to keep it all the time on, if not even present there. Thanks for clarification. 😊
Depends what you wanna do over there 😊 nature places are spectacular and usually free. National parks costs around 5€. I don’t know about restaurants, campsites and cities because I didn’t visit any of those. Diesel price was a bit cheaper than in neighbouring coutries.
@NomadsTrails I want to cycle in nature and be in nature, the only thing i need is food, petrol, and a safe place for my van..... So how much money do i need in a month for this kind of lifestyle
It is not only women who are asked whether they are scared. I've been asked a few times too but sure, far less than women are asked. Maybe I'm the exception because according to some people I come across as insecure. A couple of times I wasn't even asked but just told that I'm scared 🤣And to be fair, I've been (somewhat) scared a few times. Sometimes there is a good reason to be scared. Even though acting friendly, drugged up teen soldiers at a checkpoint carelessly waving around their machine guns doesn't exactly stimulate a sense of security.
Thank you for your point of view. It is true, everyone has their own experiences about situations. And also it is important to be aware of the risks but not let only the idea of traveling alone stop to do what you love. Awesome to hear that you are also doing your things in your style 😊
Fantastic to hear about your adventures and experiences Sailor. Nice van.
That is great advice to turn out phones off and to go outside. But we should press the like button on the video first.
Wonderful chat thanks, looking forward to watching both of yours adventures moving forward.
Good morning Sailor, thank you so much for the information, much appreciated. I really enjoy the videos that you guys make.
Regards, Neil.

Everytime I see you, I'm amazed how pretty you are. Greeting from Estonia.
Nothing to fear except fear itself. Man or woman can find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time just as easily.
Thanks. Hope you made it to the toilet
I did! 😂
Omg 😬🫣 Nono..nono.nooo 🫣
