    Oh boy... we went super cheap with this baby. Osocozy flats $11 on amazon for 6. And I got a 6 pack of kawaii covers for $24... less than $100 for diapers till 25 pounds (these flats only go to 25 pounds... but my babies don’t got that weight till around 2 anyway... so $50 a year on diapers.. and then reuse for multiple kids... pennies spent!

    Nb clothe diaper is worth it if u have smaller kids.. I have 10 kids.. They are in the nb size for a long time.. My son is 8months now 16 lbs but is so slim in the waist one size swim on him.. My 3 yo wears a size 3 diaper and the onesize cloth at a very small settings.. I personally like half size flats for nb diapers or small babies.. I cut my nicki large bamboo flats in half.. Or receiving blankets I cut down..
    I get hemp inserts 18 at a time ebay.. Use for everything even cloth pads boosters.. I also like osocozy doublers!! I like my alva covers for smaller lil ones u can nb hack them.. Happy flute and kawaii cover I use for bigger kids.. I like Nicki diaper cover also but they are bulky on my kids for a while.. Osocozy wipes yes plz.. I love love osocozy bamboo flats also.. I got a sprayer online like $11 been Using for like 4 years now.. But mostly use my shower head cause it reaches to the toliet.. And my mini washer..

    People also forget you have 9 months to build a stash. Or you can slowly build over time, repurposing house hold items, buying used.

    Don't be afraid to buy second-hand and local. My stash was about 40% used but if you don't mind stripping your diapers, you can save a lot!

      Impressive stash! I'm new to the game and just wondering what to purchase, due in 9 weeks. With soma much variety, what do you prefer !? Any favorites to lean towards. (I'm trying to think of hacks or buy second hand for NB, and beyond)

    Yuss girl! I use flats (gmd) & covers, too, and pockets stuffed with doubled up flats at night. You save much more with cloth diapers if you plan to have more than 1 kid. We have 40 flats, a few covers & pockets, wipes, a sprayer & some random fitteds and things leftover for baby #2. I just need to replace the bulk of the covers & pocket diapers that got worn out. I'm buying more this time for fun because I think I'm done having kids after #2.

    My whole stash (daytime only) is around $200. I have 12 alvas that my cousin bought for me for around $37 for a 6 pack x 2 then I purchased 3 dozen (36) osocozy flats and 4 thirsties size one covers for $70 and a $40 pack of 6 mama koala and 2 fluffy penguin pocket diapers for like $20. I use one disposable a night. So cloth diapering has been nice and cheap for me. I do need more covers because he is almost completely grown out of the size ones. So hoping to get more soon 🤞🏾

    We love flats for overnight too. Birdseye flats are my favorite because they're so trim. Our overnight diapers went from one large, to two one size, to two larges, and now three one size.

    My 7 month old baby is having a blast watching this video with me! Have you done the newborn stash video? And do you remember what eyeshadow you were wearing here? I know it was a long time ago but it’s such a gorgeous look!

      I haven't filmed my newborn stash video yet because my sister is borrowing them for her baby who was born in January. I probably won't get them back and filmed until April, I would guess.
      And I'm sorry I really have no idea about the eyeshadow! I own too much makeup lol.

    Phew, $500. I have 34 pocket diapers, 29 inserts and 6 prefolds. I have spent $130 I plan on buying more prefolds to have a bit more. I also do need a wet bag/sprayer and some snappis. I’m building my stash with a budget and I do not want to spend more than $200. Adding up with what I still need I think I’ll stay on my budget.

    My husband has been nagging me for a diaper sprayer for 13 years lol. Never used it. Just flip it face down in the toilet, leave it for 5 min... grab and edge and flush and it pulls everything off. Even sticky sick toddler poop just rinses right off

    I feel like my flats seem so much bulkier than yours. I have the same GMD muslin flats. We use them during the day because my daughter is a flooder? Do you have any tips for using flats on squirmy babies? My daughter is 15 months and it's like wrestling an alligator

    • @lainaslife6351
      @lainaslife6351  4 роки тому +2

      I'm sorry, I only have some basic tips, like always have a toy on hand for them to play with during changes. My youngest is pretty good about diaper changes. And I always remind him if I'm pinning flats that we both need to be super careful so we don't get poked and he seems to understand and cooperate more.

      I also have a little alligator. At about 15 months, I taught her to clap her hands while she gets a diaper change. Can't roll over when she's clapping her hands. When clapping gets old, I tell her to wave. Then back to clapping. It doesn't always work, but it helps most of the time.

    Do you have any recommendations for cloth for a bigger toddler my son has special needs and he's about to outgrow the one sizes I have he's 2 and a half and he weighs 28 pounds not particularly a big kid and he's not a particularly heavy wetter thanks

      If you're looking for really big flats, Green Mountain Diapers has muslin Swaddle blankets that can be used as diapers too. And thirsties makes a duo wrap cover in size 3 that's super roomy.

    So for 2 babies in cloth , newborn and 18 month old what rough numbers should I look at? I’ve been cloth diapering since newborn days with my daughter and my son is due soon , potty training is not in sight. He has newborn diapers but when they are both in one size I’m nervous about how many covers, prefolds, flats , night time diapers and wipes I’ll need.

      You might want to double your stash if you'll have two in one size cloth.

    If i purchase all one size pocket diapers (like 30 to 50) with inserts will that be sufficient? When i hear one size they wear them until potty training right?

    • @lainaslife6351
      @lainaslife6351  4 роки тому +1

      It depends on the brand. Most one size won't start fitting until baby is a couple months old. But most will take you to potty learning as long as you don't have a really big kid. I'd say 30 is a great start for the newborn days, washing every other day. If you end up feeling a little tight with those 30 after a week or two, maybe invest in some more. You might go through 10-12 each day in the newborn days, but my 2-year-old usually uses about 5-6 daily now.

      @@lainaslife6351 thank you. I think for the first month or so either disposables or flats with covers so its not too much money on newborn size specific just basically covers is what im considering. Its a very new world. I'm hoping the learning curve isnt overwhelming.
