Question, within another BIEs youtube video describing the interview process, he mentioned he was a asked quite a few statistics questions in the loop interview. Do you happen to know if this is standard or maybe just specific to that specific BIE role? I am interviewing for a BIE role that mentions "Prior experience with statistical analysis" as a nice to have, but no where on my resume have I claimed to have a strong background in statistics. So I'm just wondering if I still may be quizzed on these sort of questions?
Anyone please tell during the SQL live coding screening for AMAZON BI engineer, which RDBMS syntax is required. Is it like mysql, postgreSQL, SQL server or something else. Do interviewer decide or interviewee decide to choose whichever RDBMS syntax.
Hi Rabin, this is solely from my and my friend’s experiences. So usually they pull up a notepad version of their own and they put the schema of the tables they wanna ask you. You can solve it with basic MySQL syntax and they will understand the logic more than syntax 😊
Hi Swathi, I’m afraid that’s confidential information so I won’t be able to give that information. There’s usually 2-3 rounds and final round consists of a panel of 5 interviewers. Practice these things for all rounds, they can ask it anytime 😊

No worries Isaias, try to create stories before going into the interview and your technical knowledge should speak for itself! Try to communicate as much as you can and project confidence while you are speaking! You should be good 😊

Not necessarily. Depends on requirements of the role. There are some roles where you are joining the core BIE team ( with a lot of DEs and BIEs). For business oriented BIEs, they won’t but it’s good to practice from leetcode.
Sir, I am a fresher pursuing my Bachelor's degree in CSE. How would their approach be towards freshies during interview? Do they go deep into the topics or just beyond basics? Thank you!

I would say somewhere in the range of 80K-95K base salary. Don’t quote me on this but this changes every year. The salary is also dependent on how much impact the BIE is gonna bring to the team. Happy to answer more questions 😊

Sure. It’s 120K to 150K base salary in Seattle. Now that depends on which city you work in. For example, Austin/Nashville won’t be the same.
