This video is very insightful and really helpful when answering questions on the interview hot seat. I think that, when you answer the question with a story front, always resonate well with the interviewer

I have a phone interview tomorrow. This really helps! Also, I'm terrified. I was asked to apply via a recruiter on LinkedIn, but wowsers, I've had to absolutely guzzle information in the past week.

Each one of us has our motivation, so I think this is one question that’s not going to determine your ability to work at Amazon. The only way you could mess this up is if you’re unable to answer it at all.

I thought that was the best response! It has more of a personal or personable touch to it.
All of the other ones generally struck me as disingenuous, lacking substance or based on hearsay to say the least. Also, were like something you can find off of your favorite search engine (not naming the obvious one starting with the letter G). Or like giving their OPINION about something they've never experienced.

I live in India. I had been a Sr customer service professional(L1) in both technical support and sales for Bell Canada process for over 12 years. I quit my job last year. Now I'm planning to apply for a manager role at amazon. Directly from L1 to manager. I read the basic qualifications for the role 'team manager' at amazon.jobs. It said 'bachelor degree Or experience in a Leadership Or related position in management'. I do have a bachelor's degree. I was not a Team leader or quality assurance or SME before. Although I mentored new associates and helped my team members achieve their targets since I was very good at sales and technical support. Can I apply for a manager role at amazon? I mean from L1 to manager? I've seen some people getting area manager jobs at amazon as freshers with no experience at all, as soon as they finish their final year in college. How do I apply for the job? Can I apply in amazon.jobs directly? Will I get a response? I'm not on LinkedIn or anything. Do I need references?

Hi! very good question. I will be super honest, I think it will be challenging to join Amazon as a manager without previous manager experience. However, I do not think it is impossible. I would highlight your experience in managing teams or people when you were working in your previous roles. Hope this helps!
