Old Trafford for Liverpool no matter the form of Man united is still one of our hardest away games. We came to Old Trafford in great form last season while they were not and we couldn't win the game. Old Trafford will always be a hard game.
United have given Liverpool a hard time recently. Both in the league and domestic cups. The 3-0 win at Old Trafford was significant, you're absolutely right. I don't see Arsenal as a better team. It's basically City vs Arsenal/Liverpool.
The game at ManU is always a hard game. Somehow even when in bad form, they have always found a way to give us a testing game! Last season even when you expected us to win easily in the FA Cup at OT, they won! So winning that game was massive!
7:05 The one game I always fear as a Liverpool supporter is ManU away. In my view it is the thoughest game of the season. I was expecting a 2-1 loss or a draw at best. To beat them 0-3 in that mannerr took me by suprise.
Slot’s system is surprising me. The ability to control and then quickly kill the opponent is something I was personally hoping for. It’s still exciting, but it feels like there’s a script. We possess, we score, and then nothing else happens in the game and we win. The ability to disperse the opponent’s response is something that the best teams do very well
Mate when you see the way we press, they know that down to a T. Makes it a lot easier for slot to teach his tactics when we know how to hunt down the ball in packs so well
Klopp said in a interview not to long ago he wanted liverpool to become the best "in-possession" team in europe aswell as the pressing and all that. feel like Arne has continued on that path
Klopp made massive inroads in that - Liverpool was 2nd in possession % in the league a couple of years ago. Had Tiago been healthier for longer, Liverpool would have been even better in possessing the ball.
Danish Liverpoolfan since 84. I agree with you. No matter the League table, its the game that worries me the most. Maybe a pstd leftover from the 90', but I dont think Im alone.

Im a United fan and im devastated my dad made me support them, i really love Liverpool and want to jump ship now that they are miles ahead of us, any advice?
I feel the victory away at the San Siro was a great sign as well of Slot's influence over the team. After the early goal we completely dominated them, they could barely get the ball out of their own half for the rest of the first half, and we have a history under Klopp of doing really poorly away in Italy for some reason. If we can turn over Bologna as well I'll be really confident of our chances of getting to the latter stages of the CL.
Bang on in regards to Man U . Regardless of form we always struggle against United away.!! Good point to make . However consistency will be our biggest challenge I reckon.

We haven't played anyone yet to say we will win the league. 2 goals is misleading because we've given away good chances. But it feels good, the manager is reiterating how much improvement we need to make, and if we can get to January without any serious injuries and we pick up a couple of players to add depth then who knows. City will drop a few more points without Rodri so there's every reason to be positive
50/50, the Utd game away is one which we can bottle even last season when we were so much better than them we lost. Also there will be tougher games to come.
Even tho Rory can be dramatic and reactionary talking football I just love listening to him, I just love the passion don't know he got so much hate on Sky Sports fan debate

They have had the easiest first 6 fixtures in the league. The only challenge on paper is Utd at old Trafford but looking at the mess that club is in makes it a significantly easier result than usual
Liverpool fan here... we're loving the fact the transition between managers has gone smoothly so far but to be real contenders we have to get results against, respectfully, better opposition. The Utd result was huge, coming from behind to comfortably beat AC Milan was decent. We should enjoy where we are but it's a bit early to be getting too excited
We do look great, and theres a strong feeling theres more potential in the tank. But be realistic, weve only faced bottom half teams so far and lost a game at home. As said, the next 2 months are key in the title challenge, and that will show where we really stand.
The only thing I know for sure so far is, you can clearly see we will be 20% better in a few months from where we are now! Where that leaves us I’ve no idea, but I look forward to witnessing the small improvements.

Dutchie here: Liverpool have got a huge load of new fans all comming from The Netherlands. It did'nt happen with Van Dijk, Gakpo or Gravenberch. But Slot is something else. He's considered one of the best coaches from The Netherlands in a long time. Here in many parts of The Netherlands Liverpool is closely followed. We want to see and hope he does with Liverpool the same as he did with AZ and Feyenoord. Especcialy Feyenoord. Feyenoord was in the same situation as Liverpool. Not enough money to buy better players. But then Arne Slot came around. He made the Feyenoord players so good, 7 (!) of them were sold to bigger clubs abroad. But this was no problem for him. After losing all these players, Feyenoord became the Dutch champions with players who, with all respect, were not the best in the Dutch competition. We beleive Liverpool can win the PL.

Feels silly saying Slot has dethroned other managers after 6 games and you comparing Slot’s start to Arteta’s 4 years when this isn’t Slot’s first managerial role and he inherited a much better squad is kind of a stupid comparison especially with the teams they’ve faced. But do agree he’s doing a good job!
Historically UTD away is as tough as it gets. But this time round, it wasn't anywhere near the toughest game we'll play this year. Far too early to consider them title contenders. I'm not expecting them to be pushing Arsenal and City. Top 4 would be good enough. But if they're still up there come christmas, then I'll allow optimism in.
All of these players were in the title race last season. We should reserve judgement as this is still Klopp's team, and no one has left for ages. When VV, Trent, or Mo leave and Slot keeps them in the top 3, then you can praise the new coach. When Klopp went to Liverpool he change everything including players. High pressing with Alison, van Dyke, Robertson, Trent being able to invert or play midfield, Salah, Firminio, Mane, Jota, Macallister, Diaz, RG... all of thos players are Klopp players. Credit the new coach once he has his own team not a ready-made team capable of winning the league.
@nickdentoom1173 This was not an ideal signing. This was to replace Henderson. I rate Klopp highly, and I am an Arsenal supporter. The Gegen-press was all Klopp. I think give Slot his chance, but you can only judge his success when he completes his own rebuild with his own team! At present, Slot has inherited a team capable of winning a championship, and this could be won with any decent coach!
@nickdentoom1173 With the greatest respect, the Dutch league isn't evidence of suitability. Even the greatest team Ajax only focuses on youth development. When you coach Liverpool, there is a historic pressure that Slot has never experienced. I wish him luck, but rebuilding Feyenoord is not as significant as building his own team at Liverpool. Because he inherits star quality he isn't starting at the same point as Klopp when he joined Liverpool.
Very good analysis Rory. Liverpool have made a great start. I would say however, Man City away is the hardest game for anyone these days given the decline of Man Utd.
The difference between Feyenoord at the end of the last season before Slot and the end of Slot's first season was unimaginable. You have seen nothing yet.
We have the squad for it! But I feel that it will take a few more months before we properly click into gear and I think we will pick up a few loses/draws in that time that will take us out of it
A friend once said, “The true sign of leadership is when you step back or walk away.” Klopp is a true leader, setting up the team and Slot as if it was still his team. Klopp 2.0 was given to Slot on a silver platter. Slot is even improving them!
No Liverpool fan is currently singing about winning the league, it’s 6 games in and we have only played small teams, such a long way to go but so far slotts looking like the real deal 🔥
Sure, we have a massive run of tests coming up, but beating United away with a new manager and essentially no signings is a huge deal.....a big test of Slot and the boys. Honestly winning at the San Siro is also a big deal. I am glad Slot is not satisfied, but man this is fun and unexpected!
100% agree old trafford is toughest away game for Liverpool regardless of how shit this man utd team is they always try and play up a level when they play Liverpool, and although we have anihilated them at anfield its more often than not tough to win at Old trafford. ( albeit we have had some big results there in recent seasons) thats why it was significant that Arne Slot hammered them in his first attempt. Even Klopp struggled to get a win there initially and drew many games until he blew them away but then again lost last season when they were flying. I think even the season when they won the league and were beating everyone they still drew with Man Utd. Salah also took a while to break his duck there (but then has since broke all records in true Mo Salah fashion)😂. Thats why for Arne Slot to go there in his first big game of the season, against a fellow dutch manager, with all the added pressure that and the enormity of the fixture brings, was mightily impressive.
I hate the Mancs but Ten Hag isn’t a drama queen. He would probably like a lot less media furor but he signed up for it and has to take his medicine now.
Peps a bi-polar type chap now , Liverpool are always pushed physically under Klopp come February with Slot more possession and the ball running rather than players they may have a better late season run ins
Klopp gengenpress style gave opponents a chance, Slot style (with Klopp selected front line) gives opponents very very little. If Gravy forms falls then LFC style will break down.
As a Liverpool fan I think you are getting a bit ahead of yourself. We have a tough fixture list coming up. Yes we like to be confident but when we reach January we can assess we’re we are.
Liverpool fan here I think comparing slot to arteta would be a bit unfair since arteta walked into an arsenal team that wasn’t in great spirits. With that being said pressure will start to build on arteta if he doesn’t win a major trophy in the next 2 seasons.
We're 6 games in, a bit early for this there is a long way to go. First season, I'd be over the moon with top 3 and a good run in the Champions league. Then next season me go...
As a Liverpool fan, I know not to get carried away when facing a team with a near robot AI squad, backed with 9 - 12+ points of refereeing decisions going their way every year.

A friend once said, “The true sign of leadership is when you step back or walk away.” Klopp is a true leader, setting up the team and Slot as if it was still his team. Klopp 2.0 was given to Slot on a silver platter. Slot is even improving them!
Best premier league Era ever in domestic football pep vs klopp the best football head to head
We scored a 4-0, and 5-0 at the Old Trafford.
Salah has made its training ground. Scoring enough to be on Old Traffords top 5 goal scorers.
Keep it up Rory. I enjoy your football analysis.
Amazing video😎🔴👏🏾,
You just got a New subscriber!!!💯
I really believe Chelsea will be consistent by the end of this season an challenge next season, LFC fan
You can only say if were good enough come the end of November. Our fixtures are incredibly difficult
No Liverpool fan is currently singing about winning the league, it’s 6 games in and we have only played small teams, such a long way to go but so far slotts looking like the real deal 🔥
Cody Gakpo - 43', 50'
Darwin Núñez - 47' 75'
Mohamed Salah - 66', 83'
Roberto Firmino - 88'
Slot has gone about his business quietly and professionally. The complete opposite of the saga at Old Trafford
I hate the Mancs but Ten Hag isn’t a drama queen. He would probably like a lot less media furor but he signed up for it and has to take his medicine now.
@@grimbyrne195 He keeps repeating the same old rubbish and despite 2 years and £millions spent he’s still talking about the process
You are right Rory usually when we win at old trafford we are firmly in the title race. Chelsea at another under dog imo
Peps a bi-polar type chap now ,
Liverpool are always pushed physically under Klopp come February with Slot more possession and the ball running rather than players they may have a better late season run ins
Klopp gengenpress style gave opponents a chance, Slot style (with Klopp selected front line) gives opponents very very little. If Gravy forms falls then LFC style will break down.
“It’s 90s RNB classics” he sounds like a radio host.
It just feels safer 💯💯💯
Couldn't have said it better 👌🏻
Maybe you forgot that last season Liverpool went for a quad again. We proper fans know how good our team is. You will see it on Oct 20
Rory you're really eloquent I love the way you speak. I particularly enjoyed the girlfriend analogy...
Have to love Rory's analogies😂
If we win vs Crystal Palace and other Londoners teams that will makes Arne Slot one of the best coaches to come Anfield.
