    *By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

    I still come back to these Chi Chi's kettlebell workouts even though the videos are many yrs old now. This is one of the best instructional kettlebell workouts on UA-cam.

    Just found your channel and this kettle bell work out. After suffering with a back muscle injury physio recommended some kettle bell work outs to try and slowly strengthen my back.
    Easy to follow and good steady pace.
    Many thanks Ron & team.

    Chi Chi, Thanks for the workout! Winter is keeping me off my bike and gyms are expensive. You're helping me to manage my diabetes at home. I usually do this or your beginner workout 2x-3x in a row. It's been the best blend of cardio and strength for me of all the bettlebell workouts I've tried on UA-cam. Definitely the most accessible helping me get these kettlebells I bought figured out.

    I recently started using the kettlebells as a staple workout, I wish I had started using them a lot sooner because I feel so much better using them because they don’t have the same negative impact on my body. Your workouts are great and I like how you explain each move but you chain the workouts together for a full body workout.

    A good light weight could be 20 to 30 pounds and a medium weight could be 35- 40 pounds. It all depends on your strength levels and how you feel being able to finish the workout! Let me know and play with the weights to figure things out! Good luck and keep it going strong! Cheers,

      Daisy Fields Good day! Great to hear you are using the videos. You know know when you can move on to the next when it feels easier so listen to your body. Move up the weight when needed, especially for bigger muscle groups, (back and legs). You don't have to run if you have knee concerns....work around that with other drills you see in the videos posted! Good luck.....have FUN! Cheers!

    I spent two weeks doing your first video lesson, which was great. Just starting on number two! I'm 68, but find these exercises great, already seeing and feeling a difference. I do three sets three times a week, at the moment only using a 15lb kettlebell. At what stage should I move up to a heavier weight, and what would you recommend?

    • @chichihealthfitness
      @chichihealthfitness  9 років тому +2

      Brian Bailey Good day Brian! Congratulations on your achievements with training. I am very happy with you. In regards of moving up weight, do this when you feel very comfortable and it seems easier. I would do this in two weeks but keep me posted on how you are doing! Continue to mix up the training videos when you can....have fun and keep staying YOUNG! You are an inspiration to many out there! Cheers!

    loved this! I got a kettle bell today as I read that they help arthritis, which I have in my neck and back. Can you stick with the same weight you always use or should you move up once it get light to you? Do you still get the toning effect if you just use the one kettlebell or is it better to have several? thanks for the video!

    Hey Chichi, I've recently "graduated" to the intermedium workout. I feel great and every day the routine feels a little easier. Thanks! But I have a question regarding the three 'locomotion drills' (jumping and climbing the ladder). I'm a big guy and I live on the second floor - I can't really pull these off without bugging the downstairs neighbor. Any suggestions for less 'noisy' substitutes?

    • @chichihealthfitness
      @chichihealthfitness  7 років тому

      Good day and thanks for your questions. Try it one time and if it too loud and someone complains avoid this and do something else that doesn't make you jump up and down. Go for a walk/jog after on the road. Just do any other type of body drills that don't pound on the floor. Just do full squats and alternate lunges instead. Let me know how it goes first and do the options if necessary. Keep up the good work.......you are only investing in your health! Ron (Chi Chi) Gonzales

      Holly Jordan
      Hi Jordan,
      That is a good question and I don't know the answer to that....I can only guess but we do know this......many calories are used up using our style of training.....It's a total body workout and it can be 500 to 1000 if the workout is 45 min or longer! The entire body is challenged and what I could do is wear a device doing one of my videos to see! I will keep you posted....but for now enjoy and keep up the great work with training! More to come!

    Hey thx for the videos!!! Just starting to workout with Kettlebells (did weightlifting before) and your workouts really brought me to my knees. I did 3 different workouts in a row cause on wasn't enough...is that ok or do you think I should rather start each workout from the beginning 3 times and do another workout (x3) on another day? I just started kettlebells this week with your first two videos. Because you did a warm up and cool down I assumed the workout was over and done. Am I supposed to be doing this longer than 10 min? (Ex. 2 or 3 sets?) I do feel like I've worked my butt off after 10 min, but I want to make sure I'm getting all the benefits.

      shadee15 Good morning, the 10 minute videos are just teasers to show what I do with our style of training at Chi Chi Health and Fitness but the beauty of it that everyone all over the world is using them to train all the time. You can do a video once and go to another video! You can repeat videos a few times depending on your health and fitness level! Take breaks when needed and work up to get fitter! So overall, continue to do the warm up and cool down after a video. You may do two training videos next time........keep me posted in how things are shaping up! Cheers to you!

      +Eddie Strike That's okay....you can use all of the workouts with one kettle bell. Keep me updated with things.....when you get the time, you can invest in another heavier one.....all the best for now. Have a great day! Ron (Chi Chi)

      +weavehole Good day, You would have to go with your feel with the exercises and use pain as a guideline. Let me know how it goes. Good luck with it. Cheers.

    Nice Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Chireetler Kettlebell Miracle Rule (google it)? It is a great one off guide for learning some amazing kettlebell challenge workouts without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my GF after many years got amazing results with it.
