Another zero effort video. People have these before anyone else, and do a vlog style review doing minimal effort to get a video out.
Several days and hours go into these. We have no material settings, go thru hours of testing and waste to get the review up. While it may seem like is a few minutes, it's several hours and days of testing. Still working on acrylic settings on mine. I have scortched to many sheets. Good news is by the time it's in the hands of mass consumers, material settings and all our testing will be included. That being said, it's a very easy laser to use
@@ebpman Reviewers had these machines weeks before launch. There was plenty of time to do the tests, and only a handful actually did for this machine. 75% of the videos out are low effort videos. It is a 40w laser module. XTool has had a 40w laser module since January 2023, and they have material settings on their website. That is a total cop out. Only a few did their homework, and produced a video that wasn’t vlog type video. Not pointing their cameras at a laptop and practically doing everything in one take. There is only a few that took their time, and actually put together a comprehensive review. Doing screen recordings, and mixing up all types of video.
I have a full size plan sheet for an RC model airplane. I would like to use an S1 to cut out the full size parts from bass wood and balsa wood. How do I go about putting the plan into the computer to allow me to do this?
Does this laser have to be connected to the internet to work, similar to the Glowforge?

If the material is L shaped how will the twin point positioning work?
Yes…great question.
I don’t think it would matter as long as your image is positioned correctly on the L shaped material. The laser is burning to the Co-ordinates of the image.

There is no doubt it's a nice "looking" laser, but the absence of a camera is a deal breaker. The 2-point system is only functional when using a square piece of wood, it won't map out a triangle, precut "hobby shop" wood shapes like a circle, arrow, plus sign...you get the point. With odd shapes, you're forced to frame it with the cross hairs.
They made a big deal about the 2-point being more accurate than a camera, then why did they put 2 cameras in the P2? They should of put a camera in the S1...opportunity missed.
They also made the work area too small, if you have a 13" x 13" piece of wood it won't work, and if you spend the money on the riser and conveyor, it still won't work because the 13" x 13" is too small and won't work with the conveyor.
They should of made the D1-V2 and put a nice enclosure around it, included the P2's camera and called it good.

Looks like you can’t buy the conveyor system in the UK, I believe it may be to do with the regulations. Gutted, because one of the reasons I bought this unit was because of that feature.
4:00 - "...this does come with a Riser solution..." It doesn't come with a riser, but there is one available for $199.

Roly is only 10w, which can only compare to M1 or aura. But this one is 40w, S1 is definitely the first enclose 40w diode laser
