- Sneaking into the King of Hammers event in Johnson Valley, California was an exciting adventure for our team as we had the perfect opportunity to showcase the new Losi RZR Rey product. We entered the event just like any other attendee, taking the Boone Road from the 247 highway and exploring the rocks. As we made our way into Hammer Town, we stopped by our partners' booths for some fun and to promote our new product. The Losi RZR Rey immediately caught the attention of many attendees with its impressive design and performance capabilities. As the day drew to a close, we made our way to Lasertown, where we had a chance to test the car on the RC track. The Losi RZR Rey did not disappoint, and we couldn't resist showing off its impressive front flip capabilities. Our experience at the King of Hammers event was unforgettable, and the Losi RZR Rey left a lasting impression on everyone who witnessed its performance.

I understand the cost of materials are up considerably but man 620 for a 1/10 sxs. Polaris must be charging them out the wazoo for that license...
It isnt a true 1/10 though it is more like 1/6 and it is only $40 more than the hammer rey with just about every chassis and suspension part being new.

And the Lasernut is still cheaper.
It’s bigger than 1/10 if you compare it to a real 1/10 crawler. Cool idea ,but wrong size and price point if it was a true 1/10 scale it would sell like crazy. But it’s more like1/8 or 1/6 scale unfortunately

I was so excited especially when I saw the killer new suspension setup, but then I saw the $620 price... For a 1/10th 3S that is even smaller than a typical 1/10th, more like the size of a 1/12th Truggy or MT. Thats simply ridiculous Losi, you can nearly buy TWO Arrma Big Rocks for that - a legendary, nearly indestructible basher that people love all over the world. NOBODY is going to buy these at that price, it is CONSIDERABLY smaller than the Hammer Rey or LaserNut for a lot more money. This pricing is as bad as the HPI Savage Remake, nice try Losi. Try $399.99, then I'll consider it.
I honestly had to do the math in my head to why it was so expensive. I was thinking, was 1/10th in side by side somehow larger, like 1/8th? No, it's actually backwards, like you said closer to 1/12th. The price point is illogical, even for Losi. Not that far off the SBR version 1 that was 1/6th in size. No one is going to buy these, not with all the competitive 1/10th stuff for literally half the price.

@@rj7072 Check out RCDriver Online's review. In one of the very first shots its parked next to a Hammer Rey and 1/10 SCT, its smaller than BOTH The Hammer Rey absolutely DWARFS it.
@@rj7072 Because it's using a modified SBR 1/10 chassis, factor in the body and it's still a barely 1/10 vehicle on 3S for 7th scale money. Very overpriced in this market.

@@r.s.customz1502 I agree it’s over priced. I’ve seen a size comparison of it next to the 1/10 Baja Rey. And it’s obvious the RZR is not a 1/10. But I like how they developed the rear suspension. It’s not a solid axle like the Axial Yeti Jr Can Am. Overall it’s a great looking desert rig, but again for $620.00… well it’s quite overpriced

This Thing is basically 6th scale. 6,7th scale to be exact when doing the math when you compare its wheelbase to that of a short wheelbase rzr turbo , which this is resembling.
It's a perfect fit to be towed by the axial scx6. Just needs the apropriate trailer.

2s-3s lipo for this rig, $620 MSRP. Give me a break, this pricing is comical. Update your platform too and actually make something 1/8th scale. Just a few short years ago the Losi Super Baja Rey was $699.99, now that was a fair price for an amazing rig!

The Losi RZR Rey is almost EXACTLY 1/7th scale of the real Polaris buggy. Its wheelbase is 14.3", longer even than the 1/10th Axial Gladiator at 13.9". Wheelbase of the 1:1 2023 Polaris RZR Pro R, which is what Losi says this is a licensed copy of, is 104.5 in. A 1:1 Jeep Gladiator wheelbase is 137.3″. While the Axial Gladiator is very nearly spot-on correct being labelled as 1/10th, the Losi would need to have a wheelbase about 4" shorter to be 1/10th.

It's pretty cool but what's going to break right away? I have the rock rey and it's a shelf queen for the 5 years, bad choice for diff cups losi!

Ive had mine for 5 years with no issues at all and i rock crawl and everything in between
never been in the shop once and warranty is up now.

@SCOTT BAILS Nobody is comparing the two. Lol... The Fireteam didn't sell because it was overpriced at launch just like this RZR. Losi dropped the price to clear out the inventory. I got mine for $399 & I love it. The price will drop on this too...

i have the FT as well but its just a rehashed rig and the RZR is all new and very expensive molds to produce as well as licensed.
Losi has always been more money but i pay cost so is all good..lol

I get that it's a Mojave chassis with Kraton arms & axles but it also has a cage & wheels like no other. Read through the comments & see how many people believe the RZR is a good value. I'll wait...

If Hammer Rey is 1/10, and this RZR is 1/10, being both real cars, RZR must be smaller than Hammer Rey... lof of! If this RZR is almost the same size of Hammer Rey, it looks like an 1/8 or 1/7

Grab whomever sketched this up as 1/10th scale and $620……completely out of touch on who your customers are. RTR wise, when you exceed the $500 mark, you’re really limiting the audience. There better be something damn special about an RTR over $500 (meaning larger scale, something unique, etc). I don’t see it here.

I can't claim the original idea, but release this with a VW Baja Bug body and I'd love it. Otherwise, it's a huge "Nope" for me - it's just my opinion, but RZRs and their ilk are like Jet Skis for land - meaning obnoxious as hell... (yep, I've become an old man, while you're at it, just get off of my lawn!)
I'm starting to believe the joke rumors that the very purpose of the release of both 'reys' is simply to sell away whatever leftover stock of the lasernut - the losses are mitigated with limited production runs of these newer cars of the same styling vein.
It looks awesome, but y'all gotta be high to ask $620 for a 1/10 scale rc. I get licensing costs are expensive, but this rc should be $500 max. I would pay $620 if it was a 1/6 scale, but definitely not for a 1/10.
Should have just made 5th scale golf carts instead. Sell for $3000.

Losi is the most unreliable brand on the planet. They simply stop supplying spare parts of products that are still sold new.
They love to sell you a new car but simply discontinue spare parts.
This means I bought 2 cars for 1100$ wich are useless because they dont supply spareparts.
