Massive empty buildings, wasteful water management, a show of overwhelming wealth (I've no dreams of mega bucks) and tons of boring crap (I loved the grand canyon and red rock). Nothing beats the originals.
Norm - if you want a Tie-Fighter that big, you could always scratch build one. I mean, Adam made bigatures for The Matrix Revolutons and A.I. He can probably help out on giving tips on how to construct your own and you live in a area where you can get supplies to make one.
I don't think Norm or Adam are skilled enough to achieve that level of accuracy and detail, that was a seriously good model ! Adam's particular skill is in quick builds, Norm can just about manage Lego.
Ian Clarke Adam is very capable of making a model of that level of detail. Have you not seen some of the stuff he's built? Do you not know his job history, particularly as a model builder at ILM? Not to mention he taught Advanced Model Making at the Art University in San Francisco. Any one can build that tie fighter by the way, they built those doing kit matching. You can literally buy every single little piece to build that thing exactly the way ILM did it.
It's not that he can't make one, it's just that it takes an enormous amount of time and effort to build one. Maybe he could get one done up using every bit of spare time he had, but that would probably take half a year or more.

Simone was consistently good at talking to the audience/camera, and not turning away from us. Hope Norm gets more comfortable with interacting with the camera from working with her more. In the opening/closing clips, you can see how Simone would look between the camera and Norm, but she'll never completely turn away from the camera. We keep seeing only Norm's side, which makes me feel like Norm doesn't want to talk to us, which I know isn't true because Norm's very passionate about sharing this stuff. It's just how it feels.
As some who had severe social anxiety Ill offer 2 pieces of advice. 1) when you are in a crowd think about how you viewing everyone. Even if you have an adverse reaction to someone do you ever think of them again? Even that very night. No. Thus no matter what you are no one is truly paying serious attention. 2) just being honest here, have a couple drinks. Don't rely on it but there is definitely something in being able to be loose one time and realize the ridiculous nature of it all, next time, sober, you will you remember.
