Phantom Pain has destroyed my life 70 surgeries 23 broken bones above knee amputation and 25 years of excruciating phantom limb pain 4000 hrs of research My family is clueless
lost my leg back in 2009 due to cancer, but the prosthesis I get I haven't been able to use any of them. I guess African we have a long way to get here. Now that I'm pregnant for the third time, by back is killing me because I also have no help in taking care of the kids the doctor told me that long term USA of crutches will eventually have effect on my spine. I wish I can get such a prosthesis
I'm from spore and look forward to have a osseoingration limp implant cuz ..I lost my left leg due to a work place accident my left leg was cruched by a folklift weighing 3 ton..Doctor had to amputed my leg above knee..now after a year of post op..i was given a socket prothesis which dosen't seem to works for me.I had skin irritation and sweating with the silicon linear get tired just walking a short distance..saddly there is no such surgery in spore now..l hoping that i could have this surgery by Dr Munjed Al Muderis.
please please help me, how can I contact doctors, I am from Palestine and I have a disability in the right femur due to an injury in the Gaza war in 2014
How does one become a member of? I lost my right leg just above my knee 8 months ago and have a prosthetic but nerve pain and a thigh bone that looks as it has fangs on the sides. I’m frustrated with getting nowhere and trying different prosthetics and same problem.
Hi I got mine done this year by December I’ll have my leg it honestly is crazy and amazing so far the PT training is great I use a small practice prosthetic to learn to put weight and it helps a lot doesn’t feel like it’s there at all
I’ve live in Australia been looking at this as I’m a hipdisarticulation amputee. Just wonder the risks and how long before you’d have to change out the implant or even whether I’d be a good enough candidate for it. I use crutches as my main method of getting around as my socket has had 4 revisions and it just never seems to work. It drops off, slips breaks down the skin from extended use, out extreme amounts of pressure on the stomach an intestines when sitting or even using in general just deters me from using it so much. This looks amazing but just got to way up the risks
Esto es otro mundo... Yo seria megafeliz, creo que sería fantástico tener una pierna funcional. Lástima que en mi país no se le dé prioridad a este tipo de cosas.
My dad is an above Knee amputee after he met in an accident he lost his job we wish we had the money to afford this procedure he struggles with the normal prosthetics he gets cut all the time too by the way I'm from South Africa
This is awesome, I m an rbk for about 5 years now, would love to have this done if it was not so far away plus the cost to get there plus the cost of the operation +pt+hospital
Hi I have just had my right leg removed from above the knee and my left lower leg is paralysed from the knee down and thay sent me home a week after the operation without any information talked to people on UA-cam and thay got something called a shrinking sock and sead that I would not receive an artificial leg for my right stump because my left leg dose not work I had hoped that I could use my artificial leg to pivot on so my wife didn't have to left me everywhere and I also figed that I could use crutches to hope on the Artificial leg and lift my bad leg up I live in Maryborough vic Australia so I could not come in to see you but was wondering if you could help me out with some information I am practically blind here at the moment Kind Regards Peter Rose 🌹PS I'm on a disability pension so have no money to pay for one
I do have some concerns:- 1) On the residual limb, it is as if the bone is sticking out of the leg. There could be problems with, say, sleeping. 2) What is the rate of implant failure?
The bone itself isn't sticking out it is then end of the implant there is always a risk of localised infection so i believe. I am actually looking at this for myself at the moment I have been a below knee amputee for 14 years and recently broke my femur and destroyed the knee joint and this is the most plausible option going ahead so far it seems according to my Orthopedic surgeon
не знаю где у вас. А у нас в России делают отлично сам на таких же хожу протезах, но в кость имплант вставлять ни за что не соглашусь,зимой навернулся смачно и вырвал все там у себя...ааааа аж больно стало

Dave Edward my wife found a Facebook group and has been asking questions for me, not one person has said not to do it. Everybody says get it done if possible, Dr. Rosbrach seems to be the guy in the US to talk to. But if you research, there are options in NC, CO, CA, as well. Even a couple more if you’re a veteran. Derrick Carver just had it done recently if you’re a US veteran, check him out on social media. Very inspirational even before he had it done, but hard core.

Will patients need to be on life long suppressive antibiotics to prevent infection?
No they only give antibiotics if there is a infection but no

Emmanuel I had read somewhere it's easily contracted microbes 🦠 because it's put directly metal in bone. So it's potential to have another operation.
Can you swim with them? Does it hurt when it rains?
yes you can swim with tis and no it doesn't hurt when it rains ..

I am RBK 4 years post surgery, I tell everyone I have my life back I walk as far as I want, have NO driving restrictions and NO pain.
They put a treatment plan together that includes everything. Their dollar is so low, it is cheaper going there than anywhere in the US
