Nice to see a swap meet with a lot of parts for 30s/50s vehicles. Meets where I'm from have gone to 60s /70s repop stuff ,rare to see much for anything older

Your extensive knowledge, experience and time in making these IOLA videos is much appreciated! No longer work on/build cars due to health issues but I still do love to see them and see all of these great parts out there still surviving. Lived here in WI for going on 17 years and have yet to make it to this show and swap meet due to health issues or other obligations, so thank you! Much love and respect.

I think you really outdid yourself on this video Dolloff. This event is HUGE and you covered so much content that it's was a blast to watch. The overhead speaker/announcer was as annoying as those kids in your last video yelling, " cold water for one dollar!!" constantly through most of the video. 🤣🤣🤣

@klwthe3rd Thank you for the positive feedback! If you think it's bad in the video you should have been there in person.. It's non stop over the intercom.

I see that you highly enjoy the advanced design chevy pickups. I do believe in my heart that this rig is one of chevy's finest models ever made. They lend well to many conversions for those who do not follow their traditional design or engines. What I say next may influence your enjoyment of these fine trucks. A canadian man, his name is Kyle Carter and his channel name is Carter auto restyling. What makes his channel so different is he is the best body and fender, and so to give it proper endorsement is his playlists, his work on welding, making patterns for restoring, this model truck. 48 through 54 pretty much is their year made as you already know. If you do watch his channel then maybe you can identify troubles he encounters with hate comments and the people who have given him a unique sense of humor. I have set there watching and also learning stuff I myself should of known. I am seventy four presently, and he always responds to peoples comments, and he is willing to still help people with their fixing these rigs. Even more is the fact that learning from his channel is so easy and would work on any model or make of auto/truck a person might want to work on. His playlist on a 36 chevy pickup is by far more fun, humor, and if you can't learn something from his tutorship, then your learning to walk on two feet might feel challenging. I share your channel by name of the channel and other things your doing on your channel name. I do hope you do watch and if you enjoy plus comment on it, you might mention my name ... Morgan Adair from alaska. I honestly believe he does remember certain names, places, and has shown me much kindness in many comments we have shared back and forth. If you do have interest in this kind of thing and respond to this comment, I will answer back as well plus give you another name just as important as Kyles channel. Oddly both are canadian channels that teach, show the different ways to use different tools in making repair panels, using the original metals as well as making them from new metal. Kyle is not a wealth guy and uses just about any metals he needs for repairs out of original pieces and parts from this model pickup. Have you ever wished that you could repair a top or hood and get every dent or ding, fix missing metals in same items like the top or doors, and even the best hood repairs I have ever witnessed. I too am a fab man, now crippled and at seventy four years of age..... makes me want to do this work again. If you wish to know the whys or what happened then I shall share that with you also. I worked in the motor pool in the army during the vietnam war, and we worked on many jeeps or anything that moved with any and about kind of steering systems. The braking systems and other kinds of repairs you can encounter on fixing any old rig of your choosing. I did multiple kinds of repairs as getting new parts in asia was not a Amazon overnight shipping plan. Okay, my comment is too long but hopefully you will give this young man a chance and watch him

Interesting video. The NORTH 113 sign near the beginning is a Wisconsin State Hwy 113 sign. Wisconsin state highways have the symbol that looks like a rectangle over a triangle, kind of like an owl. The other signs there are from Wisconsin County highways (like JJ). I went to Iola every year in the '80's and early '90's but have only been back a few times since (should go back sometime).

I’ve had both great days and horrible days trying to unload stuff but if it’s a big meet it’s well worth going even if you take all your stuff back home ; the automotive candy shops and friendly interactions are in great abundance

@@DolloffAntiques the idea is to just put four seats in the front section like a regular sedan. Keep it a long stretched limo as it’s historically very rare and has a lot of history behind it. I’ve learned a lot just by looking up this car. Then the back section will be space for an air mattress and a fold up table!! Lastly I’m going to mount up a camper air conditioner on the roof with vents. Also, I realize I’m going to probably try and restore and keep the topper. It was from TNM and O coaches Inc. and I haven’t been able to find another one like it for this car. The idea is to use it as a vintage camper and a unique car that will never be found quite the same same again. One of a kind!

The porcelain advertising signs (or as we call them in the UK ‘enamel’)are ridiculous money even for the most mundane and or damaged examples. It’s the same here, more so if it’s actually motoring related!….

@rickforeman8937 there is lots of Ford stuff in the video. Mostly 30s 40s stuff however as older Ford stuff is more plentiful there. One guy did have a lot of 55-56 stuff that I went thru his booth as well. I don't get stuck on any one make. I like all old vehicles. Matter of fact in my collection I have more Ford than GM.
