LEARN ABOUT GEOCACHING HERE!
Geocaching is a fun and rewarding hobby that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. For those who are new to geocaching, the prospect of finding hidden treasures in the great outdoors can be an exciting experience. However, it can also be a bit intimidating, especially for those who are unfamiliar with the hobby or don't know where to start. Here are some tips on how new geocachers, or "muggles," can get involved with geocaching:
1. Create an account on a geocaching website or app: The first step to getting involved with geocaching is to create an account on either Geocaching.com or the Geocaching app. This will give you access to a database of caches that have been hidden by other geocachers in your area. The free version allows access to limited caches, but you can upgrade to Premium to gain access to all geocaches!
2. Find a cache near you: Once you've created your account, use the search function to find a cache near you. You can filter your search by location, difficulty, and terrain, depending on your preferences.
3. Read the cache description: Before you head out to search for a cache, be sure to read the cache description carefully. This will give you important information about the cache, including its location, difficulty level, and any hints that might help you find it.
4. Bring a pen and some trinkets to trade: When you find a cache, be sure to sign the logbook and leave a trinket if you have one to trade. This is a fun way to participate in the geocaching community and leave your mark on the cache.
5. Follow the geocaching etiquette: As you get more involved with geocaching, it's important to follow the etiquette of the hobby. This includes leaving the cache exactly as you found it, respecting private property, and being mindful of other geocachers and muggles who may be in the area.
If you want to learn more about getting involved with the geocaching community, you can subscribe to Hullsome on UA-cam and follow me on TikTok and Instagram. Between watching my videos and following the steps above, you can quickly become a pro and experience all the thrill and excitement that geocaching has to offer!

How too not look sus while geocaching: just wear a lime green vest
Sounds like an investment I gotta make 😂
That’s what I do lol it still gets me looks and a few security guards have been slightly more aggressive than usual
@@hullsomein-VEST-ment
@@hullsome So this is where it started
@@MG_52 bro we found it
Geocache should standardize a sticker or something designating actual infrastructure for that is potentially harmful and not part of the hunt.
that would literally just tell you whwere the thing is...
@@Hiyo420not necessarily, it would just be on anything potentially harmful, such as an electrical component to something. even though it would eliminate any dangerous thing as the spot, it would prevent a lot of potential injuries.
Or geocachers should just pick safer places to hide shit.
I understand the concern and it’s valid, but at the same time, not everything in the world has to be bubble wrapped.
@@jaykay1899when the risk is significant bodily harm, maybe it should be
How to accidentally get electrocuted 101
I was terrified that was gonna happen
I had the same thought also
seriously DON'T touch that stuff tbh
Oh yeah when that panel came off I was like nope.
I kinda’ feel like hiding them in emergency alarms should be a super giant no-no.
This cache is pretty sketchy
I dunno if disguising it as important infrastructure like that is a good idea
Or legal. Interfering with fire alarms is generally a no.
This was my comment. NFPA 72 which covers fire alarm code states if a device is present it must work. Meaning it would cause a deficiency on the system that would be reported on an annual inspection that needs to be corrected.
Limited edition geocache? 💀@@ninjaofslo
I wonder how much accidental damage novice cachers do to spots like these...? ... asking for a friend. 😅
Won’t touch the rat trap but happily opens up the high voltage electrical box
even as a fire alarm enthusiast, it would take a bit to find
Your username suggests you're a bit more than an enthusiast 😂
That's an interior strobe outside. It seems obvious
@@omniferousswan593 There are outdoor modles. And the sticker that says "EOL" makes it more realistic
I love the idea, but bad placement. Someone could get shocked or killed messing with that stuff. I agree with some of the other commenters. There should be a sticker or markings to alert people that those panels are not part of the cache. Hopefully the cache owner at least put it in the description.
I completely agree, I don’t think it was in the description but I believe I marked it in the activity!
@@hullsome yep I had the same thought also
that box you opened with the metal busbars has full main voltage in there
This cache is so cool!
I get asked how exactly did you get up doing this for finding them they're coming across this formal Center game
I saw the alarm and immediately wondered why there was a fire alarm outside 😅
some are outdoor rated
Day three of asking hullsome to post videos of geocaching in north-western Indiana
You need to make a videogame where people are just hunting down geocaches based on all your experiences. Shit would be a best seller.
Most open world games have this mechanic.
To list a few
Assassin Creed
Kingdom Hearts
Genshin Impact (in several forms)
And it’s typically attached to in game rewards or a trophy system that can be shown off in the community
I literally love your videos maybe a shout- Briggs schaffer i subbed?
The first time me and my mom went on a scavenger hunt with her friends around the town, it was so much fun, but she saw a rat trap, stuck her hand up it, and then realized what it was/she’d done. We did win tho😂
W song choice Hullsome
This location should have been disallowed for a cache. Also a fire alarm as container? Nice, next time the cachers will try to open real ones.
Fun fact: if there was a fire inspection on that building, the owner could be fined for using a real fire alarm for anything but that fire alarm system.
Only time you can pull a fire alarm.
i knew it was the fire alarm because why would it be outside, but this is the first 4.0 i’ve noticed before you XDD, either slowly getting an eye for them or i overthink it
that definitely throws people off
That was definitely an I door fire alarm
Where the hell is the lock on that meter socket? Someone's going to get fried. ⚡😮
We need like some sticker or color to tell you to not mess with this thing like red dots mean don’t touch or something but idk
I was gonna say that it's weird they'd have a fire alarm on the outside of the building... 😅
Bro is just casually touching 480v boxes like he cant get arc flashed 💀
That's really bad.. like death bad.. you need to report that those panels come off to the building owner or at least make the cache placer aware of the danger...
I instantly thought it was the fire alarm. Who puts a fire alarm outside? But i could understand the confusion for it.
As an electrician this should be a no no lol
Yeah saw it immediately, who puts a fire alarm outside
That black box that says do not touch h is a poison bait box for rodents
It just me or did that fire alarm just appear. It was not there at the start.
I now want to geocache, how do i get started 😅
I mean, why would that be outside? It should've been obvious
Anyone realised the background song is the nights
That’s in indoor fire alarm…outside. There’s ya clue
If I saw an irrigation timer box outside, I'd set the sprinklers to on, and flood the place
Zero paint on the fire alarm
Bro not the fire alarm!!
Times like these you gotta use the camera to get high😂😂
Only thing he opened it does say, do not break seal
Am I the only one who heard the song the nights
Lol not sure how the velcro stayed when it rains
When the cam first capture the fire alarm I was thinking : go check that bro
And wow he did
Let’s train people to rip down life safety devices
Why no one taking about the song
A fire alarm outside ?
Why’s a fire alarm gonna be outside anyways
This rat trap says DO NOT TOUCH.
But touched breaker panels and opened breaker panels
As soon as I saw the smoke alarm I knew it was fake.
Now that I think of it why would there be a fire alarm outside
why would a fire alarm be outside
That’s so dangerous XD
😂now that j think about it, what is a fire alarm and strobe doing on yhe OUTSIDE of the building
It's a smoke detector outside
Pretty dangerous putting that near an electrical panel
Why would there be a fire alarm outside?
In Russia you would be suspected in a drug seek 😂
You gotta use the camera cause your short! 😂😂 Haha... I was trying to roast u but to be honest I'd have to use a ladder 😢
Hey hullsome is there any chance you can come around my around my area soon 🙏
Thats a 4.0?
Think for a moment. Tell me when you have ever seen a fire arlarm outside. Along with that, when have you ever thought one outside would be a good idea?
Hey this my home town
Taco Bell Thuesday
What is the hardest one but you found it fast ❤❤❤
What a stupid place to hide a geocache. Also that electrical cover should not be openable without a padlock or tamper proof wire loop security.
Literally the first thing I noticed was that and said “why would there be a fire alarm outside?”
How do you start geocaching?
What app do you use to find the geocache
seriously DON'T touch that electrical stuff tbh
how do you even get information on this stuff
42:06
How is none of that stuff locked???
that is very very illegal
How I do I start geocaching
I had seen this video before, in the end he didnt get his order since like told he forgot to write the dialogue for receiving the food. Even though in the end he may nkt have received his food I still was so proud of him even if I dont know him or anything. I an still so proud of hin for even just trying and he already cane so far!! Usually I dont rlly comment anything but yh.. I honestly also have social anxiety (though for me on social media and etc not as much but still) and my dad always says I should juat try to "open up" more or that I should try and say "good day" and etc to people. I told him I simply cant do it and he says I can, I still wasnt able to say it but I already am able to say a "good day" to rabdom teatchers in school wich maybe isnt much but its still is something wich ig I am happy about and just yeah! You shouls know yiure stronger then you think and that your not alone in this!! :)
That's an electrical meter dude. You're gonna die
i called it as soon as i saw it. that wouldnt be there
What is geocache
Again begging you to go find another one
Is it a app?
Can anyone guys the song in the back round answers reply⬇️
The answer is the nights
This is a really bad idea.
Yes because I would touch a fire alarm that is in my height level
When you figure it out before @hullsome
I knew the fire alarm looked sus!
Right…it’s not very often you see a fire alarm outside. 🤔
@@peacefulmonkey7368 Well they make outdoor weather proof models
They do, but it’s far more common to see an indoor fire alarm than an outdoor one. The only places I can recall seeing them is at the police station or hospitals. 🤔
@@The09creeperthat's clearly not waterproof. And would be a useless spot for one.
guys he is talking about that fire alarm that looks like amongus
Bro whenever i go geocashing i cant find it
It takes a lot of practice! Try looking for 1.0 or 1.5 Difficulty caches first to get some experience and confidence before you look for the high difficulty caches like this! ☝🏼
Me too but in my town there is only 5 geocahches and all contrey no more then 200
That's for when the fire department is just across the street lo
This seems like a fantastic idea, absolutely no risk of damage to important infrastructure or encouraging people to tamper with safety devices in future hunts.
The fire alarm was so out of place
I’d have to write that up as a fire alarm inspector. NFPA 72 which covers fire alarm states if a device is there it must work. Soo that wouldn’t last long
Yea this one just seems irresponsible
I didn't understand his content
You’d be so great at escape rooms
Lately I've really been wanting to try some escape rooms and document my success!!!!
Day:11 of asking hulsome to find everygeichache in Lawrence Kansas
None of these are real be honest pal
Do not disturb ✅
Do not touch ❌
that seems illegal for some reason
Yeah this is the worst spot for a geocache 💀
That one looked fairly easy.
can someone please tell me what he is looking for?
