- The Mini Dome Home is built using alternative building methods such a rebar reinforcing and spray-on concrete. David Brown the owner and builder gives us a tour of his mini dome that he builds for other people as well.

I love that this house not only has a tub, but a really kick ass tub. So many tiny houses have shower-only bathrooms that, while functional, don't feel quite like a real home. I'd totally live in a place like this! I just wonder if a house like this could stand up to Northeast Winter weather.

This looks like a really cool structure, but the total lack of any panoramic-type shots of the inside really hurts the video.

Hey! thanks for showing me your pad. It's very pretty and beautiful and uniquely put together and yet at the same time cozy. It takes alot of skill to do what you did in an abstract way. Sure can bet he has a wonderful singing voice. That is how Nat King Cole got his start they heard him speak and somebody insisted he sing something and the rest is history one of the smoothest voices ever.

frmoak2atl It really is great! We have property in many states to include Atlanta, New Jersey and New York. We did this to learn the process and start a company that builds these for clients around the world. So I thought building it and living in it would teach us all we needed to know. And it has. These are the kinds of structures that the people in tornado country need to consider! Wind can't get a purchase on a round structure as it can on a stick built house!

I'm trying to figure out why so many dislikes? Apart from the space being big enough for 2 adults, plus the remainder of the kitchenette that's left to go in, & the wiring that should be concealed, I think this is a wonderful little house!

I live in Arkansas in the delta. I feel like I'm living on barrowed time, with tornadoes looming every other week. Domes are the safest structure to live in nowadays

Whats really good for saving water is two basins one for washing water and then rinsng then you take those basins of water and throw them out among the bushes and it goes back to nature without getting mixed with sewage and garbage, bio dishsoap.

Nicely built, but would be ever so small for me. The finish on the outside and inside looks too rough for me. For me, it would have to have very smooth walls all round. I wonder, did you finish it better after doing this video? You are very talented and I am sure your technique and design will improve over time. I agree with stormthrush37 that you need to do more panoramic views first and pause from time to time. Gives a person time to absorb all that you did. Although one can use the pause button at the bottom of the video screen. Looking forward to see more of your builds. Thanks for sharing. I don't know about fitting two to three people, but it sure looks crowded for one person. Just the right amount of space for a single person if you ask me. Otherwise, I'm not really impressed. At least he love his cozy little place.

It is located in East Texas near Lake Livingston in a small town of less than 2000 people, Polk County Texas (a few mins away from the lake) in an almost empty subdivision on Kickapoo Creek that leads to the lake. Super private. Not a neighbor in sight. There is also a detached 8x12 Tiny Recording studio/office adjacent to the dome, a decorative pond with fish, outdoor stone fire pit, cast iron outdoors smoker/grill and solar lighting throughout the property. Not really high end but it's okay. I was expecting to be wowed by the inside but unfortunately it looked unkempt. It looked like a man-cave.🤔

You did not show enough of the inside...you mainly showed the stove, sink countertop, cupboard, trash can and food...can't even tell what the inside is like...the outside is cute though...
